2023 Fantasy Football Rankings – Tight Ends

Last Updated: September 7

Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-45 |

Other Positions: QB | RB | WR | TE | DraftSharks’ Projections
1. Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs. Bye: 10.

With Tyreek Hill gone, there’s valid reason to spend an early pick on Travis Kelce because he is functioning as the WR1 in Kansas City. His 2022 stats dwarfed the numbers of the other tight ends.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 92 catches. 1,130 receiving yards. 10 total TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 173.

2. Mark Andrews, TE, Ravens. Bye: 13.

Mark Andrews had a great start to his 2022 season, but injuries to both him and Lamar Jackson derailed his campaign. He should bounce back in 2023.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 87 catches. 1,060 receiving yards. 8 total TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 154.

3. T.J. Hockenson, TE, Vikings. Bye: 13.

There was no adjustment period for T.J. Hockenson, who dominated with the Vikings. Hockenson nearly posted 1,000 receiving yards. Given how often Kirk Cousins looked his way, Hockenson could reach 1,000 yards in 2023.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 91 catches. 1,000 receiving yards. 7 total TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 142.

4. George Kittle, TE, 49ers. Bye: 9.

George Kittle didn’t do much early in the year when he was blocking more as a result of Trent Williams’ injury, but he was great at the end of the season with Brock Purdy. I wonder if Kittle will have to block more with Mike McGlinchey gone.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 65 catches. 840 receiving yards. 9 total TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 138.

5. Kyle Pitts, TE, Falcons. Bye: 11.

Kyle Pitts was a huge disappointment in his second season as a result of the Falcons running a very run-heavy offense with Marcus Mariota. Pitts will get more volume in 2023.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 71 catches. 1,040 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 128.

6. Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles. Bye: 10.

Dallas Goedert was finally unshackled when the Eagles moved Zach Ertz. Goedert was expected to be a big producer in 2022, but he missed five games with an injury.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 74 catches. 950 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 125.

7. Pat Freiermuth, TE, Steelers. Bye: 6.

Kenny Pickett loved throwing to Pat Freiermuth last year. With Pickett playing a full season, Freiermuth should have his best year yet.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 69 catches. 800 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 110.

8. Darren Waller, TE, Giants. Bye: 13.

Darren Waller missed eight games in 2022 and six games in 2021. He has promise if he can stay healthy, but that’s a big if.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 64 catches. 780 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 108.

9. Evan Engram, TE, Jaguars. Bye: 9.

Evan Engram had a breakout season, but he’s likely to see his numbers regress with Calvin Ridley joining the roster.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 68 catches. 700 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 100.

10. Tyler Higbee, TE, Rams. Bye: 10.

The decline of the offensive line allowed Tyler Higbee to produce more until things got so bad that he was asked to block too often.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 74 catches. 700 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 100.
