-
Freddie Stevenson, FB, Florida State
Height: 6-0. Weight: 236. Arm: 32.38. Hand: 9.13.
40 Time: 4.75.
Projected Round (2017): 5-7.
4/25/17: Florida State was slow to get the ground game going in the first few weeks of 2016, but it got cranked up with Stevenson helping to pave the way for Dalvin Cook to have a big season. Stevenson showed well as a blocker. He also had 13 carries for 90 yards and four touchdowns with one catch for six yards. Stevenson had a quality week at the Senior Bowl, and sources believe that Stevenson will be the first fullback drafted.
7/30/16: As a junior, Stevenson was a strong lead blocker for Dalvin Cook. Stevenson also contributed as a receiver with nine receptions for 64 yards. He started seven games in 2014, totaling seven receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown.
-
Sam Rogers, FB, Virginia Tech
Height: 5-10. Weight: 231. Arm: 29.63. Hand 9.63.
40 Time: 4.93.
Projected Round (2017): 6-FA.
4/25/17: In 2016, Rogers had 67 carries for 283 yards – 4.2 average – and two touchdowns rushing along with 24 receptions for 301 yards and four touchdowns receiving. He also threw a touchdown pass. Rogers could be a mismatch weapon in an NFL offense as defenses often sleep on fullbacks. He also is a solid blocker as well, but could stand to add more strength to pack a punch at the point of attack.
Rogers was decent at the Senior Bowl. Teams think he is draftable late on Day 3, but that was before he ran an extremely slow 40 time at the combine.
7/30/16: In 2015, Rogers racked up 61 carries for 260 yards with 16 receptions for 193 yards. He also had two scores on the ground and two through the air.
There was a rare sight in the 2015 season opener – between Ohio State versus Virginia Tech – with a breakout performance by a fullback. Rogers was incredible against the Buckeyes. He ripped off a nice 16-yard run early in the game, hit a block on two defenders to spring his back for a long run, and then caught a 51-yard touchdown on a wheel route with a superb run after the catch. Rogers finished that game with 23 yards rushing on three carries and two receptions for 54 yards. He showed some real talent for a fullback.
The former walk-on Rogers won the starting fullback job in 2014 and caught 12 passes for 78 yards with five carries for nine yards. He needs to add weight for the NFL.
-
Prescott Line, FB, Michigan State
Height: 6-0. Weight: 234.
Projected 40 Time: 4.79.
Projected Round (2017): FA.
4/25/17: Line notched five carries for 12 yards and three receptions for 18 yards in 2016.
7/30/16: Playing SMU, Line averaged 3.1 yards per carry for 186 yards with a score in 2015. The junior also had six receptions for 51 yards. In 2014, Line had a strong sophomore season as a blocker for the Mustangs. He also ran for 256 yards with four touchdowns on 78 attempts.
-
Dimitri Flowers, FB, Oklahoma
Height: 6-2. Weight: 239.
Projected 40 Time: 4.88.
Projected Round (2017): FA.
4/25/17: In 2016, Flowers made 11 receptions for 200 yards and four touchdowns. He rushed 22 times for 115 yards as well.
7/30/16: Flowers is thick lead blocker for the Sooners. In 2015, he caught eight passes for 130 yards with four touchdowns. Flowers also plays on special teams, which will be huge for his NFL hopes.
-
Nate Iese, FB, UCLA
Height: 6-3. Weight: 250.
Projected 40 Time: 4.80.
Projected Round (2017): FA.
4/25/17: In 2016, Iese totaled 25 receptions for 400 yards and four touchdowns.
7/30/16: Iese had 11 receptions for 96 yards in 2015. He is a thick fullback who is built for the next level.
-
Marcus Allen, FB, Georgia Tech
Height: 6-2. Weight: 225.
Projected 40 Time: 4.75.
Projected Round (2017): FA.
4/25/17: Allen had nine carries for 36 yards in 2016.
7/30/16: Allen averaged 4.7 yards per carry for 166 yards and two touchdowns in 2015. He could use more weight for the NFL.
