2025 NFL Playoff Predictions – Wildcard Round

7. San Francisco 49ers (10-7) at 2. Minnesota Vikings (13-4)
The 49ers were able to make the playoffs because of their easy schedule. The Vikings went 13-4 because they have one of the best rosters in the NFL. San Francisco’s downgraded defensive line won’t have much of a chance getting by Minnesota’s enhanced offensive line.

Vikings 34, 49ers 20

6. Green Bay Packers (10-7) at 3. Los Angeles Rams (11-6)
Matthew Stafford will have all the time in the world to throw against the Packers, who have a mediocre pass rush. This will be the difference in the game, as Stafford will light up Green Bay’s secondary in his dome, especially if Alaric Jackson is available. Jackson could be a long shot to play, but the Rams should still win this matchup if he’s unavailable.

Rams 38, Packers 27

5. Washington Redskins (12-5) at 4. Atlanta Falcons (9-8)
A year ago, the Redskins marched into Tampa Bay and beat the Buccaneers in the opening round of the playoffs. Perhaps Washington beating the NFC Champion will become a yearly event. The Falcons have upgraded their pass rush, but their defense still doesn’t seem equipped to vanquish Jayden Daniels.

Redskins 27, Falcons 24

7. San Angeles Chargers (9-8) at 2. Kansas City Chiefs (13-4)
A battle against the Chargers may seem like a difficult first-round matchup for the Chiefs, but the Charger defense is extremely poor. They were able to reach the playoffs because of their explosive offense, but Patrick Mahomes, Isiah Pacheco, Rashee Rice, and Travis Kelce shouldn’t have any issues scoring plenty of points against their divisional rivals.

Chiefs 38, Chiefs 31

6. Denver Broncos (10-7) at 3. Baltimore Ravens (13-4)
The Broncos were a year ahead of schedule last year and didn’t deserve to be in the playoffs. They were predictably blown out at Buffalo. This is a different Denver team. Bo Nix has experience now, while the defense made some upgrades. However, it still isn’t enough to beat the upper echelon in the NFL quite yet.

Ravens 31, Broncos 23

5. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-7) at 4. Jacksonville Jaguars (10-7)
This could be a tough defensive battle. Neither team has a great offensive line, so the opposing pass rushes should dominate this contest. I’ll give the edge to the Jaguars because they’re at home, and we saw them have a huge comeback as the No. 4 seed a few years ago.

Jaguars 19, Steelers 16

2025 NFL Playoff Predictions – Divisional Round

5. Washington Redskins (12-5) at 1. Philadelphia Eagles (14-3)
The Redskins were embarrassed in their NFC Championship loss at Philadelphia last year. The rematch will be closer, thanks to the upgrades Washington made on offense. However, the Redskins’ pass rush isn’t good enough to bother Jalen Hurts behind his elite offensive line.

Eagles 34, Redskins 31

3. Los Angeles Rams (11-6) at 2. Minnesota Vikings (13-4)
This was an opening-round matchup in last year’s playoffs. The Rams absolutely dominated the Vikings, and a big reason that happened was because Matthew Stafford was able to carve up Minnesota’s blitz with ease. The Vikings blitzed at the highest rate in the NFL last year, and Stafford is the master at beating the blitz. The Vikings could change their strategy, however, especially if Alaric Jackson isn’t available. Jackson’s absence would give Minnesota a great chance of pressuring Stafford.

Vikings 24, Rams 23

4. Jacksonville Jaguars (10-7) at 1. Buffalo Bills (15-2)
We saw this happen last year where the three goliaths in the AFC made it to the divisional round. Two beat up on each other, while the third had an easy game against the AFC South winner. We have a repeat of that, except it’ll be Buffalo that will take care of business against Jacksonville.

Bills 32, Jaguars 16

3. Baltimore Ravens (13-4) at 2. Kansas City Chiefs (13-4)
The Chiefs were able to claim the No. 2 seed over the Ravens because of a predicted head-to-head victory in the regular season. Kansas City has had Baltimore’s number, after all, so will it prevail in this matchup once again? Well, a key development in this matchup is that the Ravens no longer blitz as often as they once did. Patrick Mahomes dissects the blitz with ease, so this gives the Ravens a chance to finally overcome their rival. Derrick Henry’s presence is also extremely important, as it puts less pressure on Lamar Jackson.

Ravens 30, Chiefs 27

2025 NFL Playoff Predictions – Championship Sunday

2. Minnesota Vikings (13-4) at 1. Philadelphia Eagles (14-3)
Here we go again. The Vikings advanced to the NFC Championship eight years ago, but were blown out by the Eagles in Philadelphia. Will history repeat itself? Perhaps, but it’s more likely that this game will be closer. The Vikings have better coaching and quarterbacking than they possessed in that matchup. However, the cold weather could prove to be the difference, given that the Vikings are a dome team.

Eagles 27, Rams 24

3. Baltimore Ravens (13-4) at 1. Buffalo Bills (15-2)
This is yet another playoff rematch, with the Ravens attempting to avenge their loss to the Bills in the divisional round of the playoffs last year. Buffalo had a big lead in that game, but the Ravens nearly came back. Had Mark Andrews not made three crucial mistakes, the Ravens may have prevailed. Perhaps Andrews will have a huge game to rectify his mistakes. He could score the game-winning touchdown, while Baltimore and its upgraded defense shuts the door on the Bills in their final attempt at a comeback.

Ravens 34, Bills 31

2025 NFL Playoff Predictions – Super Bowl LX at San Francisco

Philadelphia Eagles (14-3) vs. Baltimore Ravens (13-4)
Repeated Super Bowl winners are seldom predicted on this Web site, but the Eagles are a different breed of team that we’ve seen in recent years. They have an amazing roster, and they’re elite at almost every position. I nearly picked them to repeat.

The Ravens, however, could win this Super Bowl matchup. Philadelphia won’t be able to attack Lamar Jackson like it did to Patrick Mahomes a year ago because Baltimore has a much better offensive line than Kansas City. The Eagles won a regular-season battle versus Baltimore, but the Ravens have made huge upgrades to their defense. In that loss, they were trampled by Saquon Barkley because they had to move Kyle Hamilton to the secondary. That won’t be necessary this time because of all the improvements in the defensive backfield.

This matchup could go either way, but the Ravens will be predicted to prevail. The Eagles lost some depth, as well as their offensive coordinator. Also, Barkley had a huge workload last year, so who’s to say that he won’t break down at some point? Lamar Jackson, meanwhile, will finally silence the critics and win his first Super Bowl.

Ravens 34, Eagles 28
