  1. Shaq Barrett, DE/OLB, Buccaneers. Age: 27.
    Franchised by Buccaneers

Shaq Barrett was unbelievable last year, logging 19.5 sacks. Barrett wasn’t bad in run support either. He’ll receive a huge deal this offseason unless he’s franchised.

  2. Yannick Ngakoue, DE/OLB, Jaguars. Age: 25.
    Franchised by Jaguars

Yannick Ngakoue has become a devastating pass rusher, and yet he won’t even turn 25 until March. The sky is the limit for him, though he is a liability in run support. Ngakoue would be better off in a 3-4 scheme.

  3. Kyle Van Noy, OLB, Patriots. Age: 29.
    Signed with Dolphins

Kyle Van Noy does everything for the Patriots, whether it’s rush the passer successfully, clamp down on the run or drop into coverage. It remains to be seen, however, if he could thrive outside of Bill Belichick’s system.

  4. Markus Golden, DE/OLB, Giants. Age: 29.
    Re-signed with Giants

Markus Golden had a lost 2017 season because of a torn ACL and didn’t quite look like himself the following year. He managed to rebound in 2019, logging 10 sacks.

  5. Jamie Collins, LB, Patriots. Age: 30.
    Signed with Lions

Jamie Collins was a lost soul in Cleveland, but he thrived once again when being coached by Bill Belichick. He turns 31 in October, so he could begin to regress soon.

  6. Devon Kennard, DE/OLB, Lions. Age: 29.
    Signed with Cardinals

Devon Kennard has logged seven sacks in each of the past two seasons, and he has also held up well against the run. It’s puzzling as to why the Lions cut him.

  7. Jordan Jenkins, DE/OLB, Jets. Age: 26.
    Re-signed with Jets (1 year, $5 million)
Jordan Jenkins has lived up to his third-round billing, logging a total of 15 sacks in the past couple of seasons. He tends to get burned in coverage, however.

  8. Vic Beasley, DE/OLB, Falcons. Age: 28.
Signed with Titans (1 year, $9.5 million)

Vic Beasley got off to a nice start in his career, but he struggled in recent seasons. However, he logged four sacks in his final four games, which gives him some hope.

  9. Bruce Irvin, DE/OLB, Panthers. Age: 32.
    Signed with Seahawks

Bruce Irvin played exclusively as a pass rusher for the first time in his pro career, and he managed to accumulate a career-best 8.5 sacks. Unfortunately, he turns 33 in November, so he’ll decline soon.

  10. Kyler Fackrell, DE/OLB, Packers. Age: 28.
Signed with Giants (1 year, $4.6 million)

Kyler Fackrell produced 10.5 sacks in 2018, but he didn’t get to play as much this past season because the front office added Za’Darius and Preston Smith.

  11. Leonard Floyd, DE/OLB, Bears. Age: 27.
Signed with Rams (1 year, $10 million)

Leonard Floyd failed to live up to his first-round billing. He notched seven sacks as a rookie, but he’s seen that number regress each year from 4.5, to four, to three. He failed to capitalize off the attention Khalil Mack draws. Floyd could turn out to be a late bloomer, but time will run out soon.

  12. De’Vondre Campbell, OLB, Falcons. Age: 27.
Signed with Cardinals (1 year, $8.5 million)

De’Vondre Campbell is a solid linebacker when it comes to run support, but he struggles in coverage. He would be better off as a two-down player.

  13. Aaron Lynch, DE/OLB, Bears. Age: 27.
Aaron Lynch is a talented edge player who stops the run very well. However, he has an extensive history of injuries and off-the-field issues, which makes him a risky player to have on the roster. Lynch struggled in 2019.

  14. Terrell Suggs, DE/OLB, Chiefs. Age: 37.
Terrell Suggs is no longer an every-down player, but he can still generate decent pressure on opposing quarterbacks when playing about 20 snaps per game.

  15. Kamu Grugier-Hill, OLB, Eagles. Age: 26.
    Signed with Dolphins (1 year)

Kamu Grugier-Hill is a quality run defender. He’s not very good in coverage, but he’s just 26 (as of May), so he could improve his game.

  16. Clay Matthews, DE/OLB, Rams. Age: 34.
Clay Matthews’ career looked like it was over in 2018, but he signed with the Rams and played better than expected. Thanks to Wade Phillips’ great coaching, Matthews was able to log eight sacks. He could rapidly regress, however, given that he’ll turn 34 in May.

  17. Thomas Davis, OLB, Chargers. Age: 37.
    Signed with Redskins

Thomas Davis played surprisingly well for the Chargers last year despite being a 36-year-old. He turns 37 in late March, so there’s a decent chance he regresses.

  18. Mychal Kendricks, OLB, Seahawks. Age: 30.
Mychal Kendricks tore his ACL in Week 17, so he may not be ready for the start of the 2020 campaign.

  19. Nate Orchard, DE/OLB, Redskins. Age: 27. — Re-signed with Redskins (1 year)
  20. Cassius Marsh, DE/OLB, Cardinals. Age: 28. — Signed with Jaguars
  21. Tahir Whitehead, OLB, Raiders. Age: 30. — Signed with Panthers
  22. Pernell McPhee, DE/OLB, Ravens. Age: 31. — Re-signed with Ravens
  23. Anthony Chickillo, DE/OLB, Saints. Age: 27.
  24. Eric Wilson (RFA), OLB, Vikings. Age: 25.
  25. Brooks Reed, DE/OLB, Cardinals. Age: 33.
  26. Jerry Attaochu, DE/OLB, Broncos. Age: 27. — Re-signed with Broncos
  27. Nicholas Morrow (RFA), OLB, Raiders. Age: 25. — Tendered by Raiders (original)
  28. Malcolm Smith, OLB, Cowboys. Age: 31.
  29. Josh Martin, DE/OLB, Saints. Age: 28.
  30. Barkevious Mingo, DE/OLB, Texans. Age: 29. — Signed with Bears (1 year)
  31. Elijah Lee (RFA), OLB, 49ers. Age: 28.
  32. Sam Acho, DE/OLB, Buccaneers. Age: 31.
  33. Maurice Alexander, OLB, Bills. Age: 29.
