  1. Cory Littleton, LB, Rams. Age: 26.
Signed with Raiders (3 years, $36 million)

Cory Littleton has transformed from a special-teams standout to a stellar linebacker. Littleton is spectacular in coverage and holds up well against the run.

  2. Joe Schobert, LB, Browns. Age: 26.
Signed with Jaguars (5 years, $53.75 million)

Joe Schobert played very well at times last year, even winning AFC Defensive Player of the Week at one point. He’s a do-it-all linebacker who won’t turn 27 until November.

  3. Blake Martinez, LB, Packers. Age: 26.
Signed with Giants (3 years, $30 million)

Blake Martinez is an excellent coverage linebacker. He struggled in run support last year, but he’s still very young and can improve in that regard.

  4. Nick Kwiatkoski, LB, Bears. Age: 27.
    Signed with Raiders

Danny Trevathan got hurt during the season, but it didn’t matter very much because Nick Kwiatkoski stepped in and played on a high level. He’ll be entering just his fifth year in the league, so there’s definitely reason to believe he could continue to improve.

  5. Danny Trevathan, LB, Bears. Age: 30.
    Re-signed with Bears (3 years, $21.75 million)

Danny Trevathan never looked quite healthy last year, but could that have been a symptom of age? The 30-year-old will need to rebound from a disappointing 2019 campaign.

  6. Kevin Pierre-Louis, LB, Bears. Age: 28.
    Signed with Redskins (1 year)

Kevin Pierre-Louis performed very well when given a chance to start late in the year. Perhaps this will convince someone to give him a chance to start next year.

  7. Kamalei Correa, LB, Titans. Age: 26.
    Re-signed with Titans (1 year)

Kamalei Correa is a well-rounded linebacker who can play both outside and inside in 3-4 formations.

  8. Christian Kirksey, LB, Browns. Age: 28.
Signed with Packers (2 years, $16 million)

Christian Kirksey was a bright, rising star several years ago. The Browns certainly thought so when they gave him a 5-year, $38.7 million contract. However, Kirksey has been a major disappointment since. Injuries have played a part – he played in just nine games over the past two seasons – but he hasn’t played well when on the field either. Perhaps Kirksey can rebound, but he’ll likely need to settle for a 1-year “prove it” deal in the meantime.

  9. Haason Reddick, LB, Cardinals. Age: 25.
Haason Reddick has largely struggled since being chosen in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was terrible this past season. However, he’s still just 25, so there is a glimmer of hope for him.

  10. Nick Vigil, ILB, Bengals. Age: 27.
    Signed with Chargers (1 year)

Nick Vigil is a solid cover linebacker, but he gets bulldozed in run support. He should just be playing in sub packages, but he’s pretty good at what he does best.

  11. Nigel Bradham, LB, Saints. Age: 30.
Nigel Bradham’s play declined this past season. He was still fine in coverage, but he was a liability in run support and missed too many tackles. Bradham turns 31 right before the start of the 2020 season.

  12. Alec Ogletree, LB, Giants. Age: 28.
Alec Ogletree was a bust as someone who signed a 5-year, $42 million contract. He wasn’t horrible, but wasn’t worth the money, which prompted the Giants to cut him.

  13. Vontaze Burfict, LB, Raiders. Age: 29.
Vontaze Burfict is shockingly not even 30 yet, but he has regressed in recent seasons. He was also suspended for a whole year, so that’s a problem.

  14. Josh Bynes, LB, Ravens. Age: 31.
    Signed with Bengals

Josh Bynes is a solid, two-down linebacker who specializes in run support.

  15. Sean Lee, LB, Cowboys. Age: 34.
    Re-signed with Cowboys

Sean Lee’s effectiveness has plummeted over the past couple of seasons, thanks to the high number of injuries he has suffered. He can still be a great backup, however.

  16. Wesley Woodyard, LB, Titans. Age: 34.
Wesley Woodyard used to be a terrific linebacker in all facets. He’s still stout versus the run, but he’s been getting abused in coverage. This is not a surprise, given his age (34 in July).

  17. Deone Bucannon, LB, Giants. Age: 28. — Signed with Falcons
  18. Elandon Roberts, LB/FB, Patriots. Age: 26. — Signed with Dolphins
  19. Mark Barron, LB, Steelers. Age: 30. — Signed with Broncos
  20. Brandon Copeland, ILB, Jets. Age: 29. — Signed with Patriots
  21. Joe Thomas, LB, Cowboys. Age: 29. — Re-signed with Cowboys (1 year)

  23. Najee Goode, LB, Jaguars. Age: 31.
  24. Patrick Onwuasor, LB, Ravens. Age: 28. — Signed with Jets
  25. Joe Walker, LB, Cardinals. Age: 27.
  26. Daren Bates, ILB, Titans. Age: 29.
  27. Kentrell Brothers, LB/ST, Vikings. Age: 27.
  28. Reggie Ragland, LB, Chiefs. Age: 26. — Signed with Lions
  29. A.J. Klein, ILB, Saints. Age: 29. — Signed with Bills (3 years, $18 million)
  30. Kevin Minter, ILB, Buccaneers. Age: 29. — Re-signed with Buccaneers (1 year)
  31. Darron Lee, LB, Chiefs. Age: 25.
  32. Tyler Matakevich, ILB, Steelers. Age: 27. — Signed with Bills (2 years, $9 million)
  33. Isaiah Irving (RFA), LB, Bears. Age: 26.
  34. Bryce Hager, LB, Rams. Age: 28.
  35. Ryan Shazier, ILB, Steelers. Age: 27.
  36. Jason Cabinda (RFA), LB, Lions. Age: 24.
  37. Ray-Ray Armstrong, LB, Cowboys. Age: 29.
  38. Albert McClellan, LB, Jets. Age: 34.
  39. Will Compton, ILB, Raiders. Age: 30. — Signed with Titans
  40. Paul Worrilow, LB, Jets. Age: 30.
  41. Adarius Taylor, LB, Browns. Age: 29.
  42. Hardy Nickerson (RFA), ILB, Bengals. Age: 26.
  43. Mike Hull, LB, Dolphins. Age: 29.

  45. Nick Dzubnar, LB, Chargers. Age: 29. — Signed with Titans
  46. Justin March-Lillard, LB, Cowboys. Age: 27.
  47. Joe Jones (RFA), LB, Broncos. Age: 26.
  48. Stephone Anthony, LB, Saints. Age: 28.
  49. Manti Te’o, LB, Saints. Age: 29.
