2020 Fantasy Football Rankings - Tight Ends (June 10):
Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-45

Other Positions: QB | RB | WR | Top 250 | Sleepers | Busts

  1. Mike Gesicki, TE, Dolphins. Bye: 11.
Mike Gesicki flashed some major potential to close out his second season, catching at least four passes in four of his final five games. Gesicki has major athleticism and upside, so it's nice to see that he's finally putting it all together. Chan Gailey plans on using Gesicki in the slot, which means he has some major PPR potential.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 70 catches. 760 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 112.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 182.

  2. Hayden Hurst, TE, Falcons. Bye: 10.
JUNE 10 UPDATE: Matt Ryan spoke very highly of Hayden Hurst in an interview Tuesday, citing that Hurst has amazing athleticism. Hurst has great potential in Atlanta's offense despite his current first-round bust status.

Hayden Hurst never met expectations in Baltimore, but part of the problem for him was how great Mark Andrews turned out to be. Hurst will have a chance to thrive in Atlanta's pass-heavy offense. He could be a viable end-zone target for Matt Ryan.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 64 catches. 700 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 112.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 176.

  3. Austin Hooper, TE, Browns. Bye: 9.
Austin Hooper has been making major strides in each of his seasons. He was just a raw player with upside in 2016, but he turned into a potent threat this past year. It's worth noting, however, that some of his numbers were the byproduct of garbage time. It's less likely he'll have the same garbage-time opportunity in Cleveland.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 67 catches. 750 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 111.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 178.

  4. Evan Engram, TE, Giants. Bye: 11.
Evan Engram played just eight games in 2019. It's fair to wonder if he's just injury-prone at this point, as he also missed five contests in 2018. Engram has high upside, however, so perhaps his injury history will scare off some people.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 66 catches. 800 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 110.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 176.

  5. T.J. Hockenson, TE, Lions. Bye: 5.
T.J. Hockenson had a monster debut to his NFL career, catching six passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. As it turned out, this was the result of Arizona being utterly incompetent against tight ends. Hockenson still has major potential, however, so I like him quite a bit heading into this second season.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 60 catches. 720 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 108.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 168.

  6. Blake Jarwin, TE, Cowboys. Bye: 10.
Jason Witten is no longer with the Cowboys. This would really open things up for Blake Jarwin, who has tremendous potential in both fantasy and real life. The CeeDee Lamb selection will hurt Jarwin a bit.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 61 catches. 700 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 106.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 167.

  7. Noah Fant, TE, Broncos. Bye: 8.
Noah Fant had some promising outputs in the second half of the year, including 3-115-1 and 4-113 lines. Drew Lock looked comfortable throwing to Fant, who could make a big jump in his second season.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 53 catches. 750 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 105.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 158.

  8. Jonnu Smith, TE, Titans. Bye: 7.
MAY 21 UPDATE: Jonnu Smith has been working out privately with Ryan Tannehill. This is crucial, especially in this current climate where some players haven't been able to see each other. Smith is a nice tight end option in the double-digit rounds this year. His ADP of 14.01 is way too late.

Jonnu Smith didn't do much in the first six weeks of 2019 because of Delanie Walker's presence. Walker then suffered a season-ending injury, allowing Smith to shine to close out the year. It's unlikely that Walker will play for Tennessee next year, which makes Smith very appealing.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 61 catches. 750 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 105.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 166.

  9. Ian Thomas, TE, Panthers. Bye: 13.
With Greg Olsen now in Seattle, Ian Thomas suddenly has an opportunity to emerge as a borderline TE1 in 2020. Thomas has shown potential when given the opportunity, so he could make for a nice sleeper.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 62 catches. 670 yards. 6 total TD.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 105.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 167.

  10. Eric Ebron, TE, Steelers. Bye: 8.
Eric Ebron will drop passes for the Steelers in 2020. He has some upside as long as Ben Roethlisberger can remain healthy.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 60 catches. 670 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 103.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 163.
