2010 NFL Draft E-mails – Todd McShay Bashing Volume 4
Did you hear what Vinny Cerrato had to say about Todd McShay?
“I’d like to know who Todd McShay talked to,” Cerrato said. “Because I was at the school and talked to everybody. (Clausen) was a little immature when he first arrived. He matured each year. As a junior, (he) received every vote of all the members of the team to be captain. He’s a gym rat. He’s a football junkie. He loves to talk…football. He loves to watch film. He plays with a passion.”
I thought you might enjoy reading that because as you have said all along, McShay is full of s**t.
–> To answer Vinny Cerrato’s question, Todd McShay didn’t talk to anyone. He has a key interest in seeing Jimmy Clausen fall in the 2010 NFL Draft, which is why he continues to make things up about him. The sad part is that people actually believe McShay’s lies.
Hopefully some of those people have read an article we posted on the site, Jimmy Clausen is an Alien Wizard, which talks about how all of the hate directed toward Clausen is unwarranted.
That piece of s**t McShay – This just happened three minutes ago and it pissed me off so badly I had to immediately vent about it.
McShay was reporting on Dez Bryant’s pro day, and he started speaking about his character concerns. He then went on to say something along the lines of “Dez Bryant is one of three children his mother had by the age of 18, and by the time Dez was 10 years old his mother had already served a year and a half in jail.”
What in the f**k business is this of McShay’s? Who the hell is he to speak of the age at which Dez’s mother gave birth to him? Where does McShay get off speaking about his mother’s jail sentence? And of course, how does ANY of this mean that Dez Bryant is a character concern?
There are only two people I truly hate in this world, and one of them is McShay (the other is LeBron James) and I really don’t know how much longer I can listen to this idiot.
–> I am completely shocked about this. I can’t believe that Todd McShay is reporting irrelevant things about a draft prospect’s past to ruin his draft status. I mean, wow. And here, all along, I thought McShay was an upstanding gentleman.
In all seriousness, McShay needs to be fired as soon as possible. He’s a scam artist whose main goal seems to be profiting both personally and financially by spreading lies and lowering draft stocks of NFL Draft prospects.
Since I figured everyone else is getting on the whole bash Todd McShay bus I figured I would join because I honestly can not stand that man. I read his bio on ESPN Media Zone and this is what it had to say:
“McShay is the director of college football scouting for ESPN Scouts Inc., where he has been evaluating prospects for the NFL Draft since 1998, during which time numerous NFL teams have utilized his reports.”
“He soon became a go-to source of information for 16 NFL scouting departments”
I think we have are culprit as to why some NFL General Managers make horrible decisions. They listen to Todd McShay.
–> That could definitely be it. I have a quote I like to use every year after each NFL Draft concludes:
“I realize this every April and I forget it by August… the NFL Draft is so tough to predict because there are just way too many dumb teams in the league.”
I guess by “dumb teams” we can mean “teams that listen to the Sun Tan Man.”
While watching SportsCenter Todd McShay said this:
“It would be a huge mistake if the Jaguaurs took Tebow.”
I was watching the tv with my mouth in astonishment. He is really that dumb. He doesnt understand anything about money. But I should have figured that.
–> The ironic thing is that Todd McShay understands a lot about money. Making money, that is. It’s no coincidence that he hates Jimmy Clausen so much.
Unfortunately for McShay, he also understands a lot about blowing money on daily visits to the tanning salon. Perhaps his analysis would improve if he were more fiscally responsible.
I just saw some guy with an obnoxious tan on ESPN and he was talking about how Jacksonville makes no sense for Tim Tebow because he needs to be behind an established veteran.
I’m sorry, but David Garrard just made the Pro Bowl (albeit after Manning and Brady dropped out) and he has led the Jaguars to the playoffs and even beat the Steelers a couple of years ago. Garrard isn’t a Tom Brady type, but a few teams would love to have a quarterback under center that has won a playoff game.
–> You know that movie, Hot Tub Time Machine? Maybe there’s a Tanning Bed Time Machine. Maybe McShay thinks it’s 2003, and the Jaguars just drafted Bryon Leftwich. If so, then he’s right – Tebow wouldn’t work in Jacksonville.
