Ryquell Armstead, FB/RB, Temple
Height: 5-11. Weight: 220. Arm: 30.50. Hand: 9.50.
40 Time: 4.45. 10-Yd: 1.53. Three Cone: 7.02.
Bench: 22. Vertical: 30. Broad: 9-6.
Projected Round (2019): 5-7.
4/23/19: Armstead really helped himself with a fast 40 time at the combine to go along with showing off good size. Jim Nagy, the Executive Director of the Senior Bowl, was raving about Armstead earlier in the year, and Armstead could be one of the few fullbacks who ends up being draftable in the 2019 NFL Draft. He played running back for Temple, but the tough runner could transition to fullback in the NFL. In 2018, he ran for 13 touchdowns with 1,042 yards. Armstead would have the ability to contribute as a short-yardage runner and also could be a good candidate to be a core special teams player. The senior helped himself with a strong 2018 season and had a respectable week at the Senior Bowl.
8/28/18: Armstead flashed as a sophomore when he averaged 5.9 yards per carry for 919 yards with 14 touchdowns. He fell back as a junior with 553 yards, a 3.9 yards-per-carry average, and four touchdowns. -
Qadree Ollison, FB/RB, Pittsburgh
Height: 6-0. Weight: 228. Arm: 31.50. Hand: 9.63.
40 Time: 4.58. 10-Yd: 1.53. Three Cone: 7.53.
Bench: 19. Vertical: 29.5. Broad: 9-6.
Projected Round (2019): 6-FA.
4/23/19: Ollison averaged 6.3 yards per carry in 2018 for 1,213 yards with 11 touchdowns. He had 11 receptions for 66 yards as well.
8/28/18: Ollison had a breakout freshman year, averaging 5.3 yards per carry for 1,121 yards with 11 touchdowns. Since then he hasn’t produced much for Pittsburgh, including only 398 yards and five scores as a junior, but he did have 23 catches for 194 yards that season. Ollison needs a big senior year. -
Alec Ingold, FB, Wisconsin
Height: 6-0. Weight: 242. Arm: 31.63. Hand: 9.75.
40 Time: 4.89. Three Cone: 7.35.
Bench: 16. Vertical: 34. Broad: 9-8.
Projected Round (2019): 6-FA.
4/23/19: Due to the relative rarity of fullbacks for the NFL, a college player has to be pretty good at that position to land an invitation to the Senior Bowl. Ingold (6-2, 242) was one of those prospects and comes from a running-oriented school, so his lead blocking should not be in question. As a senior, he totaled 26 carries for 143 yards with six touchdowns. He also made five catches for 93 yards. -
Trevon Wesco, FB, West Virginia
Height: 6-3. Weight: 267. Arm: 34.63. Hand: 9.38.
40 Time: 4.89. Three Cone: 7.18.
Bench: 24. Vertical: 31. Broad: 9-9.
Projected Round (2019): 6-FA.
4/23/19: Given the passing-driven nature of the Big XII, one wouldn’t think that an NFL fullback prospect could come out of college’s version of the arena league. Wesco played tight end for the Mountaineers and caught 26 receptions for 366 yards and a touchdown in 2018. He played some fullback at the Senior Bowl though, and he could transition to the position in the NFL. Wesco would need to lose weight, but he could be a nice check-down receiving h-back. -
Jacques Patrick, FB/RB, Florida State
Height: 6-3. Weight: 231.
Projected 40 Time: 4.58.
Projected Round (2019): 7-FA.
4/23/19: Patrick averaged 3.5 yards per carry during the 2018 season for 378 yards with one touchdown. He also recorded 17 receptions for 204 yards.
8/28/18: Patrick is a big back who would be a starter at most schools, but with Dalvin Cook and then Cam Akers, Patrick has been a backup at Florida State. In 2017, Patrick averaged 5.8 yards per carry for 687 yards with six touchdowns. He also had 19 receptions for 145 yards. Patrick could compete to be a backup running back and special teams contributor in the NFL. -
George Aston, FB, Pittsburgh
Height: 6-0. Weight: 245.
Projected 40 Time: 4.89.
Projected Round (2019): 7-FA.
4/23/19: Aston had 15 receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown in 2018. He caught six passes for 10 yards and a touchdown as well.
8/28/18: Aston ran for 75 yards on 22 carries with five touchdowns in 2017. He also contributed as a receiver with 22 catches for 169 yards and five scores. -
Winston Dimel, FB, UTEP
Height: 6-1. Weight: 235.
Projected 40 Time: 4.80.
Projected Round (2019): 7-FA.
4/23/19: Over the 2018 season, Dimel took nine receptions for 89 yards and four carries for -3 yards.
8/28/18: Dimel had 19 carries for 63 yards and four touchdowns in 2017 while also blocking well for Kansas State. He made eight catches for 91 yards and a touchdown as well. In his freshman season, he took eight receptions for 261 yards and two scores. As a sophomore, Dimel was an excellent goal-line back with 12 touchdowns on 30 carries for 92 yards. -
Reagan Williams, FB, Stanford
Height: 6-3. Weight: 229.
Projected 40 Time: 4.80.
Projected Round (2019): FA.
4/23/19: Williams didn’t record any carries or receptions during the 2018 season.
8/28/18: Williams played in nine games last year. He could impress as a sniper blocking for Bryce Love. -
Bry’Kiethon Mouton, FB, LSU
Height: 6-1. Weight: 255.
Projected 40 Time: 4.88.
Projected Round (2019): FA.
4/23/19: Mouton transferred out of LSU.
6/4/17: Mouton saw the field as a starter in 2015 after injuries forced him into the lineup. He was impressive at blocking for Leonard Fournette that season. J.D. Moore was LSU’s lead fullback for 2017, so Mouton should take on a bigger role in 2018.
