This is the 2025 NFL Combine Stock Report for the safeties. Follow me @walterfootball for updates.

Billy Bowman was one of the fastest safeties at the combine. He ran a 4.42 40 with a 1.52 10-yard split. He was solid in the jumping drills as well, posting a 35.5-inch vertical and a 10-3 broad jump.

Nick Emmanwori was fully expected to show off at the combine, given that he was known as an athletic freak. And yet, Emmanwori beat all expectations. He ran a 4.38 40 despite weighing in at 220 pounds. In doing so, he was able to notch a 1.49 10-yard split. He amazed in the jumping drills as well, recording an 11-6 broad jump and a 43-inch vertical. Emmanwori also thrived in the drills. He may have locked himself into a top-15 pick.

Rayuan Lane’s 40 time of 4.57 won’t impress anyone, but he was able to really excel in the jumping drills. He hit 37 inches in the vertical and 10-8 in the broad jump.

Son of former NFL defensive back Ray Mickens, R.J. Mickens showed off some great athleticism at the combine. His 4.49 40 was decent for a 6-foot safety, but his other measureables were quite outstanding. Mickens hit 10-1 in the broad jump and leapt 41.5 inches in the vertical.

It’s a shame that Lathan Ransom didn’t participate in any of the measureable events because he could’ve had a tremendous day. Yet, he still helped himself. Ransom was one of the top performers in the drills.

Marques Sigle also showcased himself very well in the drills. He also thrived in the testing portion of the combine. He had the fastest 40 among all the safeties with a 4.37 40, which includes a 1.50 10-yard split. Sigle also hit 38 inches in the vertical and 10-10 in the broad jump.

Malaki Starks’ testing numbers were very mediocre – 4.50 40, 33-inch vertical – but of all the safeties, I thought he looked the best in the drills.
