2011 NFL Draft E-mails – Random AFC Questions and Comments
Mark my words: The Phins will trade down from #15 and acquire a 2nd in the process. When that happens I see them doing this: 1. Ryan Mallet, QB, Arkansas 2. Titus Young, WR, Boise State 3. Will Rackley, OG, Lehigh 4. Taiwan Jones, RB,Eastern Washington 5. Kendrick Ellis, NT, Hampton 6. Virgil Green, TE, Nevada 7. Greg Cooper, RB, Miami 7. Kenny Rowe, DE/OLB, Oregon
–> The Dolphins will suck for years if they draft like this, but at least they’ll eclipse the Bengals for the Most Players Arrested award.
We don’t need a QB. I’ve decided that we are just gonna choke in the draft and pick a nobody once again. I’m thinking we will go with TE Kyle Rudolph with the 3rd overall pick. I know we could easily get him in the second round but I want to make sure. FACT: No matter who Buffalo picks he will surely be someone nobody expected and a complete bust.
–> I’ll remember this when I’m making my live draft grades, Chan. I won’t penalize you too much.
Built to win now, and not later? Give me a break, the Pats are built for the next 10 years…
–> So, Tom Brady’s going to be a Super Bowl-caliber quarterback when he’s 45 years old? I don’t agree with that.
WHAT ARE YOU THINKING???? The Pats are going to take a DE with the 17 pick but they’re going to take a G/OT with their 28 pick and probabaly the first second round pick too. I can see them taking an RB with the other second round pick, but you’re crazy man, crazy
–> Are you sure I’m the one who’s crazy? I have the Patriots taking a rush linebacker at No. 28; not a guard-tackle.
Chargers no longer need a SS wit Bob Sanders on the team now
–> Really? You’re going to count on Bob Sanders staying healthy? The Chargers will probably draft a strong safety in the middle rounds.
no way steelers will take LB in first round…way bigger needs at OL and CB
–> I’ll let F. Bryan answer this one:
No way the Steelers take a LB? Do you understand Kevin Colbert, you take BPA. This is a great mock for Pittsburgh. They DO NOT DRAFT to fill holes, they draft to add depth.
