2011 NFL Draft Pro Day Results

2011 Pro Day Results: March 22, 2011

Georgia

A.J. Green, WR, Georgia Scouting Report
Height: 6-4. Weight: 211.
Projected 40 Time: 4.48.
Combine 40 Time: 4.48.
Pro Day 40 Time: DNP.
Vertical: 34.5. Broad: 10-2. Hand: 9 1/4.
Projected Round (2011): Top 6 Pick.

3/23/11: A.J. Green had a great Pro Day. He didn’t run the 40, but caught every pass thrown his way. There was a scary moment when he tripped over a rope and a garbage can out of bounds, but he was OK.

Justin Houston, DE, Georgia Scouting Report
Height: 6-3. Weight: 267.
Projected 40 Time: 4.65.
Combine 40 Time: 4.63.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.57.
Benchx225: 30. Vertical: 36.5. Arm: 34 1/2.
Projected Round (2011): 1-2.

3/23/11: Justin Houston shed three pounds for his Pro Day and ran a 4.57 40, including 1.62 in the 10-yard split. Considering how valued pass-rushers are, it’ll be a major upset if Houston falls out of the first round.

Nevada

Virgil Green, TE, Nevada
Height: 6-3. Weight: 252.
Projected 40 Time: 4.74.
Combine 40 Time: 4.54.
Pro Day 40 Time: DNP.
Benchx225: 23. Vertical: 42.5.
Projected Round (2011): 4-6.

3/23/11: Virgil Green parlayed his terrific Combine into an outstanding Pro Day. Weighing in at 252 pounds (he was 249 at the Combine), he didn’t run the 40, but looked very impressive in the drills. He worked out with the Patriots.

Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada Scouting Report
Height: 6-5. Weight: 233.
Projected 40 Time: 4.68.
Combine 40 Time: 4.53.
Pro Day 40 Time: DNP.
Hand: 9 5/8.
Projected Round (2011): 2.

3/23/11: Colin Kaepernick had a superb Pro Day, completing 36-of-38 passes in front of the Panthers and Jaguars. Kaepernick has workouts scheduled with the Broncos, Dolphins, 49ers and Titans. Denver is a smokescreen.

Dontay Moch, DE/OLB, Nevada
Height: 6-1. Weight: 248.
Projected 40 Time: 4.42.
Combine 40 Time: 4.45.
Pro Day 40 Time: DNP.
Benchx225: . Vertical: 42. Arm: 33.
Projected Round (2011): 3-4.

3/23/11: Dontay Moch didn’t have a very good Pro Day. He didn’t bomb it or anything, but he reportedly was just pretty average in the drills. Moch, who stood on his Combine 40, worked out with the Patriots.

Vai Taua, RB, Nevada
Height: 5-10. Weight: 213.
Projected 40 Time: 4.62.
Combine 40 Time: 4.62.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.69.
Benchx225: 24. Vertical: 34.5. Broad: .
Projected Round (2011): 7-FA.

3/23/11: Vai Taua posted 24 bench press reps at his Pro Day. I wasn’t able to get his 40 time.

Ole Miss

Ted Laurent, DT, Ole Miss
Height: 6-1. Weight: 304.
Projected 40 Time: 5.10.
Combine 40 Time: DNP.
Pro Day 40 Time: 5.00.
Benchx225: 29. Vertical: 28. Arm: .
Projected Round (2011): 6-FA.

Kentrell Lockett, DE, Ole Miss
Height: 6-5. Weight: 241.
Projected 40 Time: 4.80.
Combine 40 Time: DNP.
Pro Day 40 Time: DNP.
Benchx225: . Vertical: . Arm: 34 1/4.
Projected Round (2011): 6-FA.

3/23/11: Here’s another reason to hate the NCAA – Kentrell Lockett didn’t go to the Combine and declined to work out at his Pro Day because he’s still waiting for the NCAA’s decision to grant him another year of eligibility. A competent organization would have made up their minds already, but the NCAA is just taking its grand old time. Good job, scumbags.

Jerrell Powe, NT, Ole Miss
Height: 6-2. Weight: 329.
Projected 40 Time: 5.35.
Combine 40 Time: 5.27.
Pro Day 40 Time: 5.29.
Benchx225: 27. Vertical: 25. Arm: 33 1/4.
Projected Round (2011): 2-4.

3/23/11: Jerrell Powe weighed in six pounds lighter than he was at the Combine. He ran a 5.29 40 and had a good workout overall. There’s a chance he could be selected in the second round, but he’ll probably be chosen in Rounds 3-4.

North Dakota State

Michael Arndt, OT, North Dakota State
Height: 6-6. Weight: 310.
Projected 40 Time: N/A.
Combine 40 Time: DNP.
Pro Day 40 Time: 5.42.
Benchx225: 19. Arm: .
Projected Round (2011): 7-FA.

Josh Gatlin, CB, North Dakota State
Height: 6-1. Weight: 196.
Projected 40 Time: N/A.
Combine 40 Time: DNP.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.39.
Benchx225: 8. Vertical: 35.5. Arm: .
Projected Round (2011): 7-FA.

3/16/11: Josh Gatlin may have put himself on the radar with an impressive showing at North Dakota State’s Pro Day. At 6-1, 196, he ran a 4.39 and notched a 35.5-inch vertical.
