Penn State (5-0) at Purdue (2-2)
Line: Penn State by 12.5.

Saturday, 12:00 ET

OK, maybe I’m fuming because Purdue covers against Oregon then gets blown out by Notre Dame, but quite frankly I don’t really care. I’m on sports betting tilt thanks to Mr. Joe Tiller, one of the least competent head coaches in the college ranks. Penn State is blowing people out this season and there is no reason to think Purdue will be any good this Saturday.

Prediction: Penn State 37, Purdue 16
Penn State -12.5 (2 Units) — Correct; +$200
Penn State 20, Purdue 6

Iowa (3-2) at Michigan State (4-1)
Line: Michigan State by 9.5.

Saturday, 12:00 ET

Michigan State is definitely one of the more overrated teams in the country, and a talented Hawkeye defense is going to be leading the charge in East Lansing this weekend. They are giving up 3.2 yards per carry in their last three games, as well as only six YPA. I really like Kirk Ferentz to put together a solid game plan and cause quarterback Brian Hoyer to throw two or three interceptions. Let’s take the points.

Prediction: Michigan State 24, Iowa 23
Iowa +9.5 (1 Unit) — Correct; +$100
Michigan State 16, Iowa 13

Florida (3-1) at Arkansas (2-2)
Line: Florida by 24.5.

Saturday, 12:30 ET

The Gators are coming off a huge loss at home to Ole Miss, and you better believe that Urban Meyer will have his troops ready. On the other sideline, Bobby Petrino is thinking about taking the Louisville job at the end of the season (I say that with some sarcasm and some seriousness). Return specialist Brandon James will have another big day, and I fully expect Tim Tebow to actually play a good game this season.

Prediction: Florida 44, Arkansas 16
Florida -24.5 (2 Units) — Correct; +$200
Florida 38, Arkansas 7

South Carolina (3-2) at Ole Miss (3-2)
Line: Ole Miss by 2.5.

Saturday, 2:30 ET

The Rebels had a monster win last week against Florida, and I just can’t believe I didn’t bet that game. They played the Gators so tough at home last year, but I didn’t think Houston Nutt would know Florida as well as the previous coaching staff (Note to self: take Mississippi in big games). I like the best lineman in the country in Michael Oher to protect Jevan Snead for four quarters. The Ole Miss defense has been beastly lately. Outside of Percy Harvin (aka the Florida offense), Florida couldn’t do anything against Greg Hardy and company. I like the Rebels at home against a pathetic Gamecock offensive unit that is averaging 18.7 points per game this year.

Prediction: Ole Miss 20, South Carolina 15
Ole Miss -2.5 (3 Units – Pick of the Week) — Incorrect; -$330
South Carolina 31, Ole Miss 24

Kentucky (4-0) at Alabama (5-0)
Line: Alabama by 16.

Saturday, 3:30 ET

Records can be deceiving. Kentucky has a pathetic offense and they simply will be lucky to score in this game. Alabama has a huge edge with their defensive line against Kentucky’s offensive line that simply isn’t very powerful and lacks punch to get the Tide off the line of scrimmage. The Wildcats receivers will be overmatched, and I would be surprised if they had more than 150 yards. On the other hand, the Wildcat defense is among the best in the SEC, but I think Alabama will win the battle in turnovers, field position and time of possession, and just grind out on the Cats.

Prediction: Alabama 20, Kentucky 3
Alabama -16 (1 Unit) — Incorrect; -$110
Alabama 17, Kentucky 14

Auburn (4-1) at Vanderbilt (4-0)
Line: Auburn by 4.5.

Saturday, 6:00 ET

Auburn is coming off a tremendous loss at home to LSU, and after that emotional win they should still be devastated. Now they have to play a hungry Commodore team on the road that just recently had a big win over South Carolina. Quarterback Chris Todd has thrown three interceptions in his last two SEC games, and with one of the best corners in the conference in D.J. Moore, I expect even more trouble for the Elizabethtown native. Vandy is averaging 4.6 yards per rush this season, and at home I expect them to play ball-control offense and turnover-free football.

Prediction: Vanderbilt 19, Auburn 17
Vanderbilt +160 (1 Unit) — Correct; +$160
Vanderbilt 14, Auburn 13

Rice (3-2) at Tulsa (4-0)
Total: 80.

Saturday, 8:00 ET

Two explosive offenses go at it in an in-conference game under the Saturday night lights. Fireworks will be going off like it’s the Fourth of July in D.C. The two quarterbacks in this game have combined for more than 2,900 yards and 33 touchdowns this season! They also don’t turn the ball over much, and neither team has a good defense.

Prediction: Tulsa 52, Rice 30
Over 80 (2 Units) — Correct; +$200
Tulsa 63, Rice 28

Ohio State (4-1) at Wisconsin (3-1)
Line: Ohio State by 1.

Saturday, 8:00 ET

This is a huge Big Ten matchup that will set the stage for the Rose Bowl participant this season, pending what happens with Penn State. I really like Terrelle Pryor to come into his own in this game as well as Beanie Wells to compile at least 105 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Wisconsin is a talented team, but it all comes down to the leadership on the Buckeye defense that pulls this one out in the end.

Prediction: Ohio State 23, Wisconsin 20
Ohio State -1 (1 Unit) — Correct; +$100
Ohio State 20, Wisconsin 17
