2021 Fantasy Football Value Running Backs

2021 Fantasy Football Value Running Backs (Aug. 31):

This is a list of my favorite 2021 fantasy football value running backs. These are fantasy players who aren’t quite sleepers – i.e. they’re being drafted in Rounds 5-9 instead of the final few rounds – but they’re going way later than they should in fantasy football drafts. The Average Draft Position (ADP) is found on FantasyFootballCalculator.com.

Fantasy Football Value Quarterbacks | Fantasy Football Value Wide Receivers

  1. Javonte Williams, RB, Broncos. ADP: 5.04.
Javonte Williams is being chosen too late, given that there’s a good chance he’ll be the starting running back in Denver. For a while, he was actually being picked a bit later than Melvin Gordon, which made absolutely no sense. Williams didn’t play in the preseason finale, signifying that he has the starting role.

  2. Damien Harris, RB, Patriots. ADP: 5.09.
Trusting a Bill Belichick running back is often a poor proposition, but it seems as though Damien Harris has a stranglehold on the starting job. Things can change quickly with Belichick calling the shots, but Harris appears to be nice value toward the end of the fifth frame.

  3. Raheem Mostert, RB, 49ers. ADP: 5.05.
Many have soured on Raheem Mostert. I can understand the bear case – he’s a big injury risk – but he’s the unquestioned starter right now, and he’ll have better run blocking in front of him this year.

  4. A.J. Dillon, RB, Packers. ADP: 7.06.
I am considering A.J. Dillon to be a great value pick because the Packers have retained Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay has big plans for its former second-round pick, and Dillon will score a ton of touchdowns with Rodgers back under center.

  5. Devin Singletary, RB, Bills. ADP: 8.04.
Devin Singletary had a solid rookie year, but struggled in 2020. Thus far in the preseason, he looks like the running back we saw two seasons ago. There’s a chance Singletary just had an off year and will perform well in 2021. I’m interested in him in the eighth round.

  6. Chase Edmonds, RB, Cardinals. ADP: 6.04.
Chase Edmonds is a starting running back in a great offense, and yet he’s being chosen in the middle of the sixth round. Kliff Kingsbury has talked up Edmonds, making him a nice value at this spot.
