2020 Fantasy Football Rankings - Quarterbacks (Aug. 19):
Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-35

Other Positions: RB | WR | TE | Top 250 | Sleepers | Busts

  1. Jared Goff, QB, Rams. Bye: 9.
We saw Jared Goff regress in 2019 because his offensive line was poor. Goff gets especially flustered when pressured heavily, so it was hardly a surprise that he struggled in many games this past season. Goff’s 2020 outlook isn’t too bright because the Rams forgot to upgrade his offensive line in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 4,500 passing yards. 26 passing TDs. 15 INTs. 40 rushing yards. 2 rushing TDs.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 270.

  2. Gardner Minshew, QB, Jaguars. Bye: 7.
Gardner Minshew will start in 2020 with Nick Foles gone. He’s not recommended as a draftable player in single-quarterback leagues, but he should be added on the waiver wire in favorable matchups.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 3,700 passing yards. 23 passing TDs. 12 INTs. 380 rushing yards. 2 rushing TDs.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 266.

  3. Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Steelers. Bye: 8.
We didn’t get to see a healthy Ben Roethlisberger last year. He played two games, but wasn’t healthy for either of them. Roethlisberger should be a fine fantasy option if 100 percent, but it’ll be difficult to trust him to stay healthy at his age.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 4,200 passing yards. 28 passing TDs. 12 INTs. 30 rushing yards. 1 rushing TD.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 265.

  4. Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 49ers. Bye: 11.
Jimmy Garoppolo’s production increased after the 49ers acquired Emmanuel Sanders. His outlook for 2020 is brighter, but he’ll never reach his full fantasy potential because San Francisco’s defense is so good.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 4,100 passing yards. 28 passing TDs. 13 INTs. 60 rushing yards. 1 rushing TD.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 262.

  5. Derek Carr, QB, Raiders. Bye: 6.
Derek Carr was robbed of throwing to Antonio Brown this past season and thus was a pedestrian fantasy quarterback. His outlook has brightened with the Raiders adding a couple of talented receivers (Henry Ruggs, Bryan Edwards) in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 4,250 passing yards. 24 passing TDs. 10 INTs. 60 rushing yards. 1 rushing TD.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 258.

  6. Sam Darnold, QB, Jets. Bye: 11.
Sam Darnold was a disappointment last year, as he allowed himself to get mono, which derailed the Jets’ entire season. Darnold has a chance for a nice 2020, thanks to the Jets adding Mekhi Becton and Denzel Mims to the roster in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 3,900 passing yards. 25 passing TDs. 14 INTs. 130 rushing yards. 2 rushing TDs.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 253.

  7. Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Dolphins. Bye: 11.
Ryan Fitzpatrick was a great fantasy option in some games last year, which was shocking. He turns 38 in November, but he’ll be able to work with a talented receiving group once again in 2020, at least until Tua Tagovailoa is ready to play. The departure of offensive coordinator Chad O’Shea is a dark cloud over Fitzpatrick’s 2020 outlook.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 3,800 passing yards. 23 passing TDs. 16 INTs. 220 rushing yards. 3 rushing TDs.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 252.

  8. Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings. Bye: 7.
Kirk Cousins will be working under a new offensive coordinator next season, and making matters worse, Stefon Diggs was traded. Cousins doesn’t project as someone who should be drafted, but he’s someone to target on the waiver wire in nice matchups.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 3,800 passing yards. 25 passing TDs. 14 INTs. 60 rushing yards. 1 rushing TD.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 236.

  9. Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Panthers. Bye: 13.
Teddy Bridgewater has nice receivers at his disposal. Oh, and Christian McCaffrey is there, too. Bridgewater has upside in good matchup weeks.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 3,500 passing yards. 24 passing TDs. 9 INTs. 120 rushing yards. 1 rushing TD.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 236.

  10. Nick Foles, QB, Bears. Bye: 11.
Nick Foles should supplant Mitchell Trubisky as Chicago’s starter. He won’t be a very good fantasy option most weeks, but you can start him versus bad pass defenses.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 3,600 passing yards. 24 passing TDs. 14 INTs. 120 rushing yards. 1 rushing TD.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 230.

  11. Dwayne Haskins, QB, Redskins. Bye: 8.
Dwayne Haskins was dreadful in his first few starts, but improved as his rookie season progressed. We’ll see if that translates with a new offensive coordinator implementing a new system for Haskins.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 3,400 passing yards. 19 passing TDs. 14 INTs. 230 rushing yards. 1 rushing TD.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 213.

  12. Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers. Bye: 10.
Justin Herbert will be a matchup-based option during bye weeks this year when he takes over for Tyrod Taylor. That should happen at some point in the first half of the year.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 2,800 passing yards. 14 passing TDs. 11 INTs. 250 rushing yards. 1 rushing TD.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 155.

  13. Tyrod Taylor, QB, Chargers. Bye: 10.
Tyrod Taylor is currently listed as the starter for the Chargers, but he won’t keep that job the entire year.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 1,300 passing yards. 7 passing TDs. 5 INTs. 120 rushing yards. 1 rushing TD.
Projected 2017 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 88.

  14. Jameis Winston, QB, Saints. Bye: 6.
Jameis Winston had a monster 2019 season, as far as his passing yardage and touchdowns were concerned. He threw for 5,109 yards and 33 touchdowns, yet didn’t have a job until he took a backup role with the Saints.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 0 passing yards. 0 passing TDs. 0 INTs. 0 rushing yards. 0 rushing TDs.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 50.

  15. Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Dolphins. Bye: 11.
Tua Tagovailoa may miss most, if not all of his rookie campaign, so he’s obviously a non-factor in re-draft leagues. However, he’s a solid choice for keeper formats, as he projects to be a Russell Wilson-type player.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 500 passing yards. 3 passing TDs. 0 INTs. 60 rushing yards. 0 rushing TDs.
Projected 2020 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 38.
