2014 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Jerami Grant
Position: Small Forward
Size: 6-8, 210
School: Syracuse, Sophomore
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: The son of former NBA player Harvey Grant, Jerami possesses plenty of the attributes that NBA scouts look for from a small forward prospect. His athleticism, explosiveness at the rim, and length provide the raw ability to be considered as a late-lottery prospect, but his inconsistency as an outside shooter is enough to likely drop him to a mid-late first-round prospect.
Player Comparison: Al-Farouq Aminu. A slender, lengthy, athletic forward; Aminu has struggled to maximize his potential in the NBA since he struggles shooting the rock from deep and creating for himself off the bounce. Grant faces similar obstacles as he transitions to the next level.
