Adrian Clayborn vs. Eastern Illinois

Adrian Clayborn

2nd – 13:35 – Good hands and shows strength in shedding blocker … displays nice closing speed on QB for hurry

2nd – 7:52 – Nice quickness in getting around blocker … active, nice motor and makes tackle

2nd – 8:26 – Solid first step and nice speed off edge … forces QB to step up in pocket

2nd – 1:37 – Nice power at POA with hands … keeps space with hand extension and makes tackle

3rd – 7:40 – (3rd down and 7) … LOVE his agility and he changes directions on a dime here by bending knees and exploding … when QB steps up in pocket … if you need to watch this play to see how impressive clayborn’s agility is here – very impressive

Summary: Clayborn had a very solid game, but Eastern Illinois generally ran away from Clayborn and Clayborn’s teammates had to do most of the work. He had a great motor all game and I came away feeling like I have underrated his talent level. I didn’t see a first step, and his speed is good (not great). Overall a very good game from Clayborn in highly limited opportunities.
