2013 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Brandon Paul
Position: Shooting Guard
Size: 6-4, 200
School: Illinois, Senior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Having a breakout senior campaign, Brandon Paul has emerged as a possible late first-round pick. He can score the ball in a variety of ways and could develop into an offensive threat off some team’s bench. I think Paul is someone who could really see his stock rise in the weeks leading up to the 2013 NBA Draft, and there’s a lot to like about his versatility at the next level.
Player Comparison: Jordan Crawford.
Crawford’s strength is scoring the basketball whether it’s from distance or attacking the tin. Paul’s strengths are very similar, but I’d actually give him the nod over Crawford in terms of athleticism. Still, I think both guys are capable of handling the rock and can provide some versatility on the offensive end.
