2013 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Peyton Siva
Position: Point Guard
Size: 5-11, 180
School: Louisville, Senior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Siva never truly lived up to expectations at Louisville, but still put together a very solid collegiate career. His struggles as a shooter and lack of ideal size for a NBA point guard puts him in the late second-round/undrafted range. He is a proven leader though so some team might be willing to hope he can be a third point guard.
Player Comparison: Dee Brown. By Dee Brown, I mean the former Illinois point guard, not the dude who pumped up his kicks before winning the Slam Dunk Contest. Brown relied on his speed and quickness at the college level, but a lack of size and inability to knock down outside shots limited his time in the NBA. Siva will have to overcome similar obstacles to have a longer tenure in the association.
