2011 NBA Draft Scouting Report: David Bertans
Position: Small Forward
Size: 6-10, 210
School: Latvia, 1992
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Davis Bertans will not be helping any NBA team in the next year or two. He is no where near physically ready to play with men. However, for a 6-10 prospect, he can flat out shoot the rock. Once he grows physically and continues to development his all-around offensive arsenal, he could be a very good pro and possible late first-round steal.
Player Comparison: Donte Greene. Despite being 6-11, Donte Greene is a perimeter-based wing who even plays some shooting guard in the NBA. He lacks the physicality to play inside and loves shooting the long ball. Bertans is the same style of player but has the potential to be more of an impact player than Greene if he develops his all-around game, which is something Greene has been unable to do.
