2025 NBA Mock Draft: Round 1, Picks 1-15 (Walt’s)

16. Orlando Magic: Kasparas Jakucionis, PG, Illinois
The Magic had a very stagnant offense last year outsde of Paolo Banchero, so they need to find players who can put the ball into the bucket.

17. Minnesota Timberwolves: Collin Murray-Boyles, PF, South Carolina South Carolina
The Timberwolves could stand to add a defensive big man who can begin playing once the team loses some of its key depth pieces.

18. Washington Bullets: Jase Richardson, SG, Michigan State Michigan State
The son of former NBA player Jason Richardson, Jase Richardson seems like he’d be a solid fit for Washington’s anemic backcourt.

19. Brooklyn Nets Brooklyn Nets: Nolan Traore, PG, France France
The Nets complete their new backcourt with this pick. It’s very likely that the Nets draft two guards, but they could also address almost everything else.

20. Miami Heat: Will Riley, SF, Illinois
Miami sorely missed Jimmy Butler after he was traded during the middle of the season, so they’ll be on the lookout for a potential replacement.

21. Utah Jazz: Boogie Fland, G, Arkansas Arkansas
Here’s a new guard for the Jazz to go along with a certain bigger player they acquired earlier in the draft.

22. Atlanta Hawks: Liam McNeeley, SF, Connecticut Connecticut
The Hawks could pair their new big man with another wing to give them much-needed depth.

23. Indiana Pacers Indiana Pacers: Carter Bryant, SF, Arizona
The Pacers could stand to add another wing to help with their depth.

24. Oklahoma City Thunder: Hugo Gonzalez, SG, Spain
The Thunder are very deep right now, so with multiple first-round selections, they can stash someone overseas.

25. Orlando Magic: Walter Clayton Jr., PG, Florida
Here’s more offensive firepower for the Magic. Walter Clayton Jr. is a dynamic three-point shooter, so he’ll be able to help Orlando score more points.

26. Brooklyn Nets Brooklyn Nets: Joan Beringer, C, France France
The Nets have 50,000 first-round picks, so it makes sense for them to draft a stash player with at least one of their selections.

27. Brooklyn Nets Brooklyn Nets: Noah Penda, PF, France France
Another stash player for the Nets, who can address all five positions with their first-round picks.

28. Boston Celtics: Johni Broome, PF, Auburn Auburn
Al Horford isn’t going to be around much longer, so the Celtics might be looking for a replacement.

29. Phoenix Suns Phoenix Suns: Danny Wolf, C, Michigan Michigan
The Suns have the worst group of centers in the NBA, so they’ll need to fix this glaring hole.

30. Los Angeles Clippers: Ben Saraf, SG, Israel Israel
The Clippers can draft a stash player and keep him overseas until James Harden retires or leaves the team.
