Monday Morning Draft – Week 4 2026

Race for the No. 1 Pick of the 2027 NFL Draft:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

The Bucs fell to 0-4 as the Packers won by three in Tampa Bay. Baker Mayfield is a turnover machine and the Buccaneers should not have signed him to an extension. The Bucs could be ripe for a regime change.

Tennessee Titans:

The Titans looked bad in the season-opening loss to the Jets, played the Eagles tough in Week 2, lost 12-7 to the Giants in Week 3, and then the Ravens cruised over Tennessee. At 0-4, the Titans are among the worst teams in the league again. If they land the No. 1 pick, it will be interesting to see if they decide to draft a quarterback and move on from Cam Ward or trade down and build around the former No.1 overall pick.

Miami Dolphins:

Miami played the Vikings and Chiefs tough in back-to-back weeks, but lost both to fall to 0-4 on the season. They are a prime candidate to land the No. 1 overall pick. The Dolphins started their rebuild last offseason by moving on from veterans Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Bradley Chubb, and Minkah Fitzpatrick. Miami has some young talent, and the new front office had an outstanding 2026 draft class. The young players need time to develop, and the Dolphins look likely to be picking in the top five next April.

Houston Texans:

The Texans and Chargers are the most surprising winless teams in the NFL this season. Houston has lost a number of close games this season including to Dallas in Week 4. Houston has too much talent to go winless or land the No. 1 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. However, they are winless at the moment.

Los Angeles Chargers:

The Chargers lost by a touchdown to the defending Super Bowl Champion Seahawks to drop Los Angeles to 0-4 on the season. All the preseason hype of Mike McDaniel taking over as the offensive coordinator has not led to a high-scoring attack. Los Angeles has too much talent to go winless or land the No. 1 overall pick.

Let's Play Matchmaker:

New England Patriots: D.J. McKinney, CB, Notre Dame

The Patriots were without star cornerback Christian Gonzalez, and Buffalo was able to exploit that with Keon Coleman (6-116-1) and Khalil Shakir (7-82) producing well for the Bills. After this season, Carlton Davis will be in the last year of his contract and is nearing 30. The Patriots could opt to draft a corner to pair with Gonzalez, as that would give them a cheap starter across from their Pro Bowler.

McKinney has an interception returned for a touchdown, five tackles, and two passes broken up in 2026. In 2025, McKinney had 34 tackles with an interception and five passes defended with Colorado. In 2024, McKinney played really well, totaling 61 tackles with three interceptions and eight passes broken up. McKinney (6-2, 190) is big and has quality ball skills. He could be a solid starter across from Gonzalez.

Green Bay Packers: A’Mauri Washington, DT, Oregon

The Packers won 17-14 at Tampa Bay, but it was an unimpressive win as they only scored 17 and undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels almost beat Green Bay in his first NFL start. Even though Baker Mayfield has issues with turnovers, it is not a stretch to think the Bucs would have won the game if they had their starting quarterback. Green Bay was fortunate that Tampa Bay struggled to maintain drives as they got scores out of two of their backs, and Bucky Irving had some nice runs. Obviously, the Packers have run defense problems as illustrated by Bijan Robinson previously. On the second day of the 2027 NFL Draft, Green Bay could target a replacement for Kenny Clark.

Washington has 11 tackles and one pass broken up in 2026. In 2025, Washington had 31 tackles with 1.5 sacks and seven passes broken up. Washington (6-3, 330) is known to have an excellent skill set and upside. He is very strong, physical, and has surprising speed and athleticism for a heavy defensive tackle. Washington is a tough run defender and space-eating nose tackle for the NFL. He would make sense for the Packers in the second round next April.

Dallas Cowboys: John Henry Daley, DE, Michigan

The Cowboys needed a bounce-back win, and they were able to keep Houston winless in a back-and-forth game. Once again, the Dallas pass defense had some struggles. Getting Joey Porter Jr. on the field well help the coverage, but the Cowboys did not get any sacks from their edge rushers. They could look to draft a situational pass rusher to pair with Donovan Ezeiruaku and Malachi Lawrence

Daley has 16 tackles with three sacks and pass batted thus far in 2026. He was excellent against Oklahoma. The 6-foot-4, 247-pound Daley was a beast for Utah in 2025. He dominated tackles with power, quickness, and an insane motor. In 2025, Daley had 48 tackles with 11.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Sources say that Daley has a bad body and his run defense needs to improve, but there is no doubt that he has natural pass-rush ability. He could be a nice addition for Dallas in the early rounds.

Baltimore Ravens: Ryan Coleman-Williams, WR, Alabama

The Ravens cruised over Tennessee despite Lamar Jackson leaving the game early with an injury. Zay Flowers (8-118-1) had a big game, but Baltimore’s other receivers struggled with not a single other Raven wideout having 47 yards through the air or three catches. The Ravens need more receiving talent for Jackson.

In 2026, Coleman-Williams has caught 20 passes for 376 yards and four touchdowns. He also has looked good as a punt returner. In 2025, Coleman-Williams had 49 catches for 689 yards and four scores. He has had some problems with dropped passes in 2025. Coleman-Williams (6-0, 175) was very impressive in his freshman season for the Crimson Tide, catching 48 passes for 865 yards and eight touchdowns. He could stand to add some weight for the NFL, but he is a dynamic playmaker and capable of changing the game on any play with his explosive speed. Coleman-Williams could make sense for the Ravens in the first round next April.

Chicago Bears: Damon Wilson, DE, Miami

Aside from one coverage bust, the Bears defense dominated against the Jets. Geno Smith had only 119 yards passing, and the Jets had only eight receptions total on their team. Chicago could use more young edge rush talent to go across from Montez Sweat and perhaps replace Sweat if they decide to use his large salary to help re-sign their young receivers and Caleb Williams.

In 2026, Wilson has five tackles and 2.5 sacks. He has shown speed off the edge with natural pass rush ability. In 2025, Wilson had 23 tackles, nine sacks, two passes broken up, and one interception. Wilson was a rotational backup at Georgia in 2024, totaling 22 tackles with three sacks and two forced fumbles. He transferred to Missouri after the season, and Wilson was impressive with the Tigers. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Wilson has quality size and is fast off the edge. Sources say he has good character as well. Wilson would be a nice early-round pick for the Bears.

Los Angeles Rams: Nyck Harbor, WR, South Carolina

The Rams got a huge road win at Philadelphia to improve to 2-2 and avoided a big hole of falling to 1-3 in the brutal NFC West. Los Angeles’ defense was tremendous, holding Jalen Hurts to 93 yards passing. They shut down the Eagles' receivers and were unchallenged by the Philadelphia rushing attack when Saquon Barkley left with an injury. Puka Nacua (9-125) had a big game, but they need more receiving talent to go with him. Davante Adams (4-32) is aging and nearing the end of his contract.

In 2026, Harbor has 13 catches for 195 yards and a touchdown. Harbor (6-5, 241) is a huge receiver who has sprinter speed. For years, scouts have been talking him up to me as a prospect with an elite skill set. In 2025, he had 30 receptions for 618 yards and six touchdowns. Until 2025, Harbor was also a college track competitor, as he is extremely fast, but he stopped running track to focus on football. Harbor has had some issues with his hands and is very raw as a route-runner. In 2024, Harbor had 26 catches for 376 yards and three scores. He has a ton of upside to develop at the NFL and he could be a steal if he lands with good coaching. Harbor would be a great talent for Sean McVay to work with as a second-round pick.

Cleveland Browns: Devan Thompkins, DE, Alabama

The Browns got out to a lead and Pittsburgh came back to tie the game in the fourth quarter before a long field goal pushed Cleveland to 3-1. The Browns have had some impressive wins, and beating a division rival at home on Thursday night shows that Cleveland is legit. Todd Monken has done an impressive job this season and has his Browns playing well. Pittsburgh did have success on offense with running the ball and throwing downfield. Cleveland could use a tough base end/tackle like Thompkins to go with Jared Verse and Mason Graham.

In 2026, Thompkins has been excellent for Alabama. He is strong at the point of attack as a run defender and shows the versatility to rush the quarterback from end or tackle. He could be a strong base end in run downs that kicks inside in the sub package. Thus far in 2026, Thompkins has 19 tackles with three sacks and a forced fumble. In 2025 with USC, Thompkins had 31 tackles with three sacks. At 6-foot-5, 300 pounds, Thompkins has versatile size with strength and length. He could be a nice pick for Cleveland in the second round to give them a tough lineman who fits well with Verse and Graham.

Team Draft Report:

In this section, we take a deeper look at specific teams and where they stand regarding the 2025 NFL Draft.

Las Vegas Raiders:

The Raiders have been one of the most surprising teams in the NFL with their 3-0 start under new head coach Klint Kubiak. While Kansas City dealt Las Vegas their first loss of the season, there is no doubt that the Raiders have improved. Veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins is holding down the job while they develop Fernando Mendoza, but Mendoza should take over as the starter in 2027. Helping Mendoza has to be the priority in the 2027 NFL Draft.

There are needs on the Raiders roster, including offensive line and wide receivers being top positions to address to help Mendoza. Las Vegas probably will not be picking high enough to land Ohio State phenom Jeremiah Smith. The Raiders would essentially have to lose out. However, if they are picking lower, there should be other good options to consider like Texas’ Cam Coleman, Rutgers ’ K.J. Duff, Indiana’s Charlie Becker, Alabama’s Ryan Coleman-Williams, Indiana’s Nick Marsh, or Arizona State’s Reed Harris. Reuniting Mendoza and Becker is an intriguing option for the first round, as Becker would give Mendoza a deep threat receiver and a size mismatch. Raiders general manager John Spytek passed on Luther Burden and Denzel Boston over the past two drafts and I think that was a mistake. They need to get Mendoza more weapons in the next draft.

Las Vegas also could consider adding offensive line talent. Kolton Miller is aging, and they might need an upgrade at right tackle. In the first round of the draft, they could consider adding Texas left tackle Trevor Goosby or LSU’s Jordan Seaton. It wouldn’t be surprising if they are picking too low for Goosby. Adding a veteran tackle in free agency might be a better option to give more proven protection for Mendoza.

Defensively, Las Vegas might want to add a young edge rusher. That will especially be a need if they look to trade Maxx Crosby again. In the first round, Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons or South Carolina edge rusher Dylan Stewart would be good selections to replace Crosby or be paired with him. If the Raiders keep winning, they could consider some other pass rushers like Alabama’s Yhonzae Pierre, Clemson’s Will Heldt, and Ohio State’s Kenyatta Jackson.

The Raiders look like they are headed on the right track, but helping Mendoza must be the priority this offseason. Using a first-round pick on a receiver would make a ton of sense for Las Vegas, and they have to get Mendoza a true No. 1 receiver. Fortunately for the Raiders, the 2027 draft is loaded at receiver, and they should have good options available. This is going to be a massively important draft for Mendoza’s career development and the future of Las Vegas.

Pittsburgh Steelers:

The Steelers fell to the Browns on Thursday Night Football after a valiant comeback effort from Aaron Rodgers. Pittsburgh is a competitive playoff contender in Rodgers' final season, and Rodgers does look more effective this season than he did last year. While they are trying to win now with Rodgers, it was surprising they would trade a quality veteran like Joey Poerter Jr. That is a move of a team looking to start a rebuild, and Pittsburgh will be heading down that road as they replace Rodgers after this season.

One of the positives for the Porter trade is that the Steelers have two second-round picks to help them trade up in the first round if they have a quarterback they are in love with. There could be some excellent quarterback prospects in the 2027 NFL Draft, including Notre Dame’s C.J. Carr, Texas’ Arch Manning, Oregon’s Dante Moore, and Miami’s Darian Mensah. There could be some other good options that emerge during the season. On day two of the draft, there could be quality quarterback prospects like Ole Miss’ Trinidad Chambliss, LSU’s Sam Leavitt, and South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers. It will be interesting to see if Pittsburgh believes that Drew Allar or Will Howard can be the starter of the future. With Rodgers on the field, they won’t get a real answer on that, so they could target a quarterback prospect in the first or second round and let them all compete to be the starter in the 2027 preseason.

Aside from quarterback, Pittsburgh could use more talent in the backfield with an impact runner to help their quarterback. Jaylen Warren has run well in 2026, but he turns 28 this season and is not a long-term starter. In my latest mock 2027 NFL Draft, I have the Steelers taking Florida running back Jadan Baugh, and he could be a power back to help establish a physical identity to the Pittsburgh offense. Baugh has been a dominant force in 2026, and he would be a great addition if the Steelers don’t take a quarterback in the first round. If they take a quarterback in the first round, some running backs they could think of on day two include Missouri’s Ahmad Hardy and Louisville’s Isaac Brown.

Pittsburgh opened up a hole in their secondary with the trade of Porter, and their safeties are also veteran stop-gaps. Asante Samuel Jr. and Jalen Ramsey are veterans who are not long-term starters. Assuming the first round of the draft will be devoted to a quarterback or an offensive upgrade, the Steelers could look at second-round corner prospects like Michigan’s Zeke Berry, Alabama’s Zabien Brown, and Florida State’s Ja’Bril Rawls. They also could look at safeties like Georgia’s K.J. Bolden, Texas’ Jelani McDonald, Notre Dame’s Tae Johnson, LSU’s Ty Benefield, and Alabama’s Bray Hubbard.

The Steelers are on the cusp of a rebuild with a new quarterback. After this season, Pittsburgh should use the savings from Rodgers’ contract to sign veteran offensive linemen to help their young quarterback. The odyssey to replace Ben Roethlisberger could finally come to an end if the Steelers can get a good starter from the 2027 NFL Draft.
