NFL Week 3 Fantasy Football Rankings

To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on my Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy RB rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season.

The rankings are based on a Traditional scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com's projected stats and standard scoring points.

But who do I start...

Updated 9/23/2020 12:44:16 PM - Follow @walterfootball for updates.
  1. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints (vs. Packers)- 20 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Lions had success running on the Packers.

  2. Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles (vs. Bengals)- 19 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bengals can't tackle, so Miles Sanders should do very well.

  3. Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys (at Seahawks)- 18 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Seahawks are strong against the run, but Ezekiel Elliott is matchup-proof.

  4. Kenyan Drake, RB, Cardinals (vs. Lions)- 16 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
We just saw what Aaron Jones did to the Lions.

  5. Aaron Jones, RB, Packers (at Saints)- 16 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Saints will show more resistance toward Aaron Jones than the Lions did.

  6. Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks (vs. Cowboys)- 16 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Chris Carson shouldn't have any issues running through Dallas.

  7. Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings (vs. Titans)- 16 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Titans appear to be average against the run, so Dalvin Cook could do well.

  8. Nick Chubb, RB, Browns (vs. Redskins)- 15 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Redskins are much tougher against the run than the pass.

  9. Josh Jacobs, RB, Raiders (at Patriots)- 15 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Patriots are weaker against the run than the pass, but they're not poor at stopping ground attacks, or anything.

  10. James Conner, RB, Steelers (vs. Texans)- 15 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
James Conner is the inferior back, but he's getting more touches for some reason.

  11. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans (at Vikings)- 15 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Derrick Henry has an easier matchup this week, but when's the last time he did well early during the season?

  12. Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals (at Eagles)- 14 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Eagles have the worst linebacking corps in the NFL.

  13. Jonathan Taylor, RB, Colts (vs. Jets)- 14 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.
Jonathan Taylor is looking like the real deal, and he's getting all of the touches.

  14. Kareem Hunt, RB, Browns (vs. Redskins)- 13 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Kareem Hunt is the preferred choice in PPR.

  15. Todd Gurley, RB, Falcons (vs. Bears)- 13 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Todd Gurley's snaps continue to be limited.

  16. Wayne Gallman, RB, Giants (vs. 49ers)- 10 Points
    40 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
Wayne Gallman is the favorite to receive the majority of the carries with Saquon Barkley out.

  17. James Robinson, RB, Jaguars (vs. Dolphins)- 10 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
James Robinson has been impressive thus far. He should do well against the Miami linebackers.

  18. Jeff Wilson, RB, 49ers (at Giants)- 9 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  19. Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers (vs. Panthers)- 9 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
Austin Ekeler has a juicy matchup against Carolina's pedestrian linebackers.

  20. Sony Michel, RB, Patriots (vs. Raiders)- 9 Points
    30 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.

  21. David Montgomery, RB, Bears (at Falcons)- 8 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
The Falcons are better against the run than the pass.

  22. Leonard Fournette, RB, Bucs (at Broncos)- 8 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
Leonard Fournette is still learning the offense, but his workload is increasing each week.

  23. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Chiefs (at Ravens)- 8 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
The Ravens just clamped down on David Johnson and Nick Chubb. Don't expect a huge game from the rookie.

  24. Jordan Howard, RB, Dolphins (at Jaguars)- 8 Points
    20 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.

  25. Mike Davis, RB, Panthers (at Chargers)- 8 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 7 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
Christian McCaffrey is out. Mike Davis caught eight passes in Week 2.

  26. Darrell Henderson, RB, Rams (at Bills)- 8 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
Darrell Henderson is now the favorite to lead the team in touches.

  27. Antonio Gibson, RB, Redskins (at Browns)- 8 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
Antonio Gibson's workload seems to be increasing.

  28. David Johnson, RB, Texans (at Steelers)- 8 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
David Johnson has a very difficult matchup this week.

  29. Devin Singletary, RB, Bills (vs. Rams)- 7 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
The Bills are splitting their running back touches evenly. Avoid.

  30. Myles Gaskin, RB, Dolphins (at Jaguars)- 7 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  31. Mark Ingram, RB, Ravens (vs. Chiefs)- 7 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
The Chiefs can be gashed against the run, but there are too many mouths to feed.

  32. Jerick McKinnon, RB, 49ers (at Giants)- 6 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Jerick McKinnon can be used if Raheem Mostert is out.

  33. Melvin Gordon, RB, Broncos (vs. Bucs)- 6 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
This is an impossible matchup for Melvin Gordon.

  34. Ronald Jones, RB, Bucs (at Broncos)- 6 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
Ronald Jones is being phased out of the offense.

  35. Joshua Kelley, RB, Chargers (vs. Panthers)- 6 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  36. James White, RB, Patriots (vs. Raiders)- 6 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
James White should be back in Week 3, and I'm sure he'll have an inspired performance.

  37. J.K. Dobbins, RB, Ravens (vs. Chiefs)- 6 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
J.K. Dobbins was barely used last week.

  38. Alexander Mattison, RB, Vikings (vs. Titans)- 6 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  39. Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears (at Falcons)- 5 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

30 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

20 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
Where was Nyheim Hines last week?

  43. Dion Lewis, RB, Giants (vs. 49ers)- 5 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
Dion Lewis will catch plenty of passes with Saquon Barkley out.

  44. Frank Gore, RB, Jets (at Colts)- 5 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  45. D'Andre Swift, RB, Lions (at Cardinals)- 5 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
D'Andre Swift will get more work this week, but it still probably won't be enough.

  46. Latavius Murray, RB, Saints (vs. Packers)- 5 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  47. Giovani Bernard, RB, Bengals (at Eagles)- 4 Points
