NFL Week 3 Fantasy Football Rankings

To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on my Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy RB rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season.

The rankings are based on a Traditional scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com's projected stats and standard scoring points.

But who do I start...

Updated 9/23/2021 7:56:37 PM - Follow @walterfootball for updates.
  1. Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers (at Texans)- 22 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 8 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Christian McCaffrey is a top choice every week.

  2. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans (vs. Colts)- 21 Points
120 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Colts are better versus the run than the pass, but stopping Derrick Henry will be a challenge.

  3. Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings (vs. Seahawks)- 20 Points
100 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
We just saw what Derrick Henry did to the Seahawks, but Dalvin Cook might be banged up.

  4. Aaron Jones, RB, Packers (at 49ers)- 19 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The 49ers did well versus Miles Sanders last week.

  5. Elijah Mitchell, RB, 49ers (vs. Packers)- 18 Points
    110 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
Elijah Mitchell has a terrific matchup.

  6. Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants (vs. Falcons)- 17 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Saquon Barkley played way more snaps last week. He could be close to 100 percent with the extended rest period.

  7. Nick Chubb, RB, Browns (vs. Bears)- 16 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bears are tougher versus the run than the pass, but Nick Chubb could still score a couple of touchdowns.

  8. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints (at Patriots)- 16 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Alvin Kamara will find it tough to run on New England.

  9. David Montgomery, RB, Bears (at Browns)- 15 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
David Montgomery is involved in the passing game, so he'll produce even if the Browns shut him down on the ground.

  10. Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers (at Chiefs)- 15 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Austin Ekeler's high reception total in Week 2 had to appease fantasy owners.

  11. Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys (vs. Eagles)- 15 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Ezekiel Elliott is losing touches to Tony Pollard.

  12. Damien Harris, RB, Patriots (vs. Saints)- 15 Points
    90 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
Damien Harris bounced back well from his fumble, and he should continue to thrive.

  13. Najee Harris, RB, Steelers (vs. Bengals)- 15 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Pittsburgh's run blocking is extremely lackluster.

  14. Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals (at Steelers)- 14 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Steelers are still stout versus the run.

  15. Antonio Gibson, RB, Redskins (at Bills)- 14 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bills have been great versus the run so far.

  16. Jonathan Taylor, RB, Colts (at Titans)- 13 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Tennessee has been stout versus the run so far.

  17. Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles (at Cowboys)- 13 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Miles Sanders figures to rebound this week.

  18. Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks (at Vikings)- 13 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Minnesota is pretty tough versus the run.

  19. Javonte Williams, RB, Broncos (vs. Jets)- 12 Points
    60 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
Javonte Williams is the more impressive back, but he's splitting touches now.

  20. Melvin Gordon, RB, Broncos (vs. Jets)- 10 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Melvin Gordon is the 1B to Javonte Williams.

  21. Kareem Hunt, RB, Browns (vs. Bears)- 10 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
    This isn't an ideal matchup.

  22. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Chiefs (vs. Chargers)- 10 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
The Chargers can't stop the run.

  23. James Robinson, RB, Jaguars (vs. Cardinals)- 9 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
The good news is that Carlos Hyde barely got touches in Week 1. The bad news is Jacksonville's offensive line is not blocking anyone.

  24. Tony Pollard, RB, Cowboys (vs. Eagles)- 8 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
Tony Pollard might just be better than Ezekiel Elliott.

  25. D'Andre Swift, RB, Lions (vs. Ravens)- 8 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
The Ravens are tough against the run.

  26. Ty'Son Williams, RB, Ravens (at Lions)- 8 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
    Detroit's run defense is putrid.

  27. Devin Singletary, RB, Bills (vs. Redskins)- 7 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
Devin Singletary played 43 snaps in Week 2, compared to 18 for Zack Moss.

  28. Leonard Fournette, RB, Bucs (at Rams)- 7 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Leonard Fournette is the lead back now, but how long will that last?

  29. Chase Edmonds, RB, Cardinals (at Jaguars)- 7 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
Chase Edmonds will continue to do well in PPR formats.

  30. Jamaal Williams, RB, Lions (vs. Ravens)- 7 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  31. Kenyan Drake, RB, Raiders (vs. Dolphins)- 7 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  32. Trey Sermon, RB, 49ers (vs. Packers)- 6 Points
    60 Rushing Yards.
    Trey Sermon is barely playing.

  33. Myles Gaskin, RB, Dolphins (at Raiders)- 6 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
Myles Gaskin is playing more snaps than the other backs, and this is an easier matchup.

  34. Mike Davis, RB, Falcons (at Giants)- 6 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
There's no running room for Mike Davis.

  35. A.J. Dillon, RB, Packers (at 49ers)- 6 Points
    60 Rushing Yards.

  36. James Conner, RB, Cardinals (at Jaguars)- 5 Points
    50 Rushing Yards.

  37. Nyheim Hines, RB, Colts (at Titans)- 5 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  38. Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Eagles (at Cowboys)- 5 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  39. Latavius Murray, RB, Ravens (at Lions)- 5 Points
    50 Rushing Yards.
Latavius Murray stinks, so you'll need to bank on a touchdown.

  40. Tony Jones, RB, Saints (at Patriots)- 5 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  41. Alexander Mattison, RB, Vikings (vs. Seahawks)- 5 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  42. Damien Williams, RB, Bears (at Browns)- 4 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  43. Ronald Jones, RB, Bucs (at Rams)- 4 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
Ronald Jones was benched after fumbling in Week 1.

  44. Darrel Williams, RB, Chiefs (vs. Chargers)- 4 Points
    40 Rushing Yards.

  45. Cordarrelle Patterson, RB, Falcons (at Giants)- 4 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  46. Michael Carter, RB, Jets (at Broncos)- 4 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Michael Carter had some great plays against the Patriots, so perhaps this will earn him more snaps.

  47. Ty Johnson, RB, Jets (at Broncos)- 4 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  48. James White, RB, Patriots (vs. Saints)- 4 Points
    5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.

    40 Rushing Yards.

  50. Darrell Henderson, RB, Rams (vs. Buccaneers)- 4 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Start no running back versus the Buccaneers.

  51. Phillip Lindsay, RB, Texans (vs. Panthers)- 4 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
    This is a time share.

  52. Mark Ingram, RB, Texans (vs. Panthers)- 4 Points
    40 Rushing Yards.
Don't start any Houston running back this week.

  53. Zack Moss, RB, Bills (vs. Redskins)- 3 Points
