2025 Fantasy Football Rankings – Running Backs

Last Updated: August 18

Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-40 | 41-75 |

Other Positions: QB | RB | WR | TE
41. Jerome Ford, RB, Browns. Bye: 9.

Jerome Ford has done a solid job replacing Nick Chubb, but he’ll have to fend off Quinshon Judkins.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 610 rushing yards. 35 catches. 200 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 124.

42. Javonte Williams, RB, Cowboys. Bye: 10.

Javonte Williams vanished at times last year. He hasn’t looked the same since he tore his ACL.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 560 rushing yards. 32 catches. 240 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 124.

43. Braelon Allen, RB, Jets. Bye: 9.

As Mike Luchene pointed out in his latest fantasy football video, there’s a good chance Breece Hall will be traded during the season, which would obviously elevate Braelon Allen.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 530 rushing yards. 23 catches. 170 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 124.

44. Tyjae Spears, RB, Titans. Bye: 10.

Tyjae Spears was on the field with the backups just prior to halftime of the preseason opener. Anyone who believes that Spears will take Pollard’s job without an injury occurring has to be discouraged by what they saw in this game.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 490 rushing yards. 49 catches. 390 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 123.

45. Dylan Sampson, RB, Browns. Bye: 9.

Quinshon Judkins was arrested, so Dylan Sampson may have a chance to start as a rookie.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 490 rushing yards. 30 catches. 240 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 122.

46. Woody Marks, RB, Texans. Bye: 6.

I was bullish on Woody Marks when he didn’t start the first preseason game. Dare Ogunbowale got the nod instead, so I thought that the Houston coaches were sitting Marks. That would be the most positive news possible for the rookie runner. Unfortunately, Marks came in after Ogunbowale. Marks has sleeper potential, but the fact that he’s behind Ogunbowale right now is not a good sign for his fantasy outlook.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 510 rushing yards. 27 catches. 200 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 120.

47. Trey Benson, RB, Cardinals. Bye: 8.

Trey Benson is a talented back who could have a chance to have a big workload in 2025 if James Conner gets hurt.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 570 rushing yards. 10 catches. 60 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 118.

48. Tyler Allgeier, RB, Falcons. Bye: 5.

Tyler Allgeier is a great handcuff to own because he’ll get work even when Bijan Robinson isn’t hurt.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 620 rushing yards. 12 catches. 80 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 114.

49. Brian Robinson, RB, Redskins. Bye: 12.

The Redskins are shopping Brian Robinson Jr. to teams around the NFL, according to Jordan Schultz. This goes with the story we discussed on Aug. 14. Jacory Crosky-Merritt is a must-draft in the double digit rounds.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 600 rushing yards. 20 catches. 160 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 110.

50. Ray Davis, RB, Bills. Bye: 7.

There isn’t much behind James Cook on Buffalo’s roster, so Ray Davis could take over as the starter in the event of an injury.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 420 rushing yards. 18 catches. 120 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 109.

51. Nick Chubb, RB, Texans. Bye: 6.

Nick Chubb tore his ACL and MCL last year, so I had no interest in him in 2024. Chubb could revert to form this upcoming season, but he’ll be stuck behind Joe Mixon in Houston.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 380 rushing yards. 12 catches. 80 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 106.

52. Rachaad White, RB, Buccaneers. Bye: 9.

Rachaad White lost his job to Bucky Irving.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 310 rushing yards. 35 catches. 300 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 105.

53. Najee Harris, RB, Chargers. Bye: 12.

Najee Harris suffered a fireworks incident on July 4 weekend and may miss training camp. It’s not clear why Harris, as a grown man, was so fascinated by bright lights and loud sounds, but he could miss action as a result. This could open the door for Omarion Hampton to emerge as the lead back with the Chargers.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 600 rushing yards. 23 catches. 140 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 104.

54. Rico Dowdle, RB, Panthers. Bye: 14.

Rico Dowdle emerged as the primary ball-callier in Dallas last year. He’ll need an injury to Chuba Hubbard to get a heavy workload.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 520 rushing yards. 34 catches. 240 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 104.

55. Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs. Bye: 10.

Kareem Hunt did a solid job in relief of the injured Isiah Pacheco last year.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 450 rushing yards. 18 catches. 120 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 102.

56. Austin Ekeler, RB, Redskins. Bye: 12.

Austin Ekeler had some nice PPR games in Washington, but he was seldom used as a runner, logging just 77 carries.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 290 rushing yards. 40 catches. 380 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 101.

57. Travis Etienne, RB, Jaguars. Bye: 8.

Travis Etienne lost his job to Tank Bigsby last season, but still saw plenty of work in the passing game.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 450 rushing yards. 42 catches. 280 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 100.

58. MarShawn Lloyd, RB, Packers. Bye: 5.

MarShawn Lloyd figures to be a solid backup for Josh Jacobs this year.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 450 rushing yards. 12 catches. 60 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 100.

59. Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Jaguars. Bye: 8.

Travis Etienne continues to be a massive bust. Bhayshul Tuten should be able to have an opportunity to start at some point.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 450 rushing yards. 20 catches. 150 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 98.

60. Blake Corum, RB, Rams. Bye: 8.

Blake Corum is one of the top handcuffs to own.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 350 rushing yards. 13 catches. 90 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 97.

61. Will Shipley, RB, Eagles. Bye: 9.

The Eagles didn’t bother dressing Will Shipley versus the Browns. A.J. Dillon played, but Shipley rested, so anyone who thought that Dillon had a chance to challenge Shipley shouldn’t be worried about that anymore.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 250 rushing yards. 25 catches. 180 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 97.

62. Justice Hill, RB, Ravens. Bye: 7.

Justice Hill had some solid performances in blowouts last year.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 200 rushing yards. 38 catches. 320 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 96.

63. Keaton Mitchell, RB, Ravens. Bye: 7.

The Ravens didn’t play their starters in the preseason opener, but one viable fantasy player stood out. That was Keaton Mitchell, who scored a long touchdown on the opening drive. Mitchell is an explosive runner who can go the distance whenever he touches the ball. He’s worth a late-round pick in case Derrick Henry gets hurt.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 410 rushing yards. 14 catches. 100 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 94.

64. Roschon Johnson, RB, Bears. Bye: 5.

Roschon Johnson was Chicago’s goal-line hammer last year.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 220 rushing yards. 20 catches. 150 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 93.

65. Jarquez Hunter, RB, Rams. Bye: 8.

Sean McVay said that Jarquez Hunter was the one player he wanted on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 320 rushing yards. 23 catches. 180 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 93.

66. Tahj Boyd, RB, Bengals. Bye: 10.

Zack Moss has been cut, so Tahj Boyd is the new No. 2 back.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 340 rushing yards. 16 catches. 100 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 93.

67. Jaylen Wright, RB, Dolphins. Bye: 12.

The Dolphins started Jaylen Wright in the backfield versus the Lions. Wright didn’t find much running room and fumbled in the red zone, but a teammate recovered. Wright eventually gave way to sixth-round rookie Ollie Gordon, who played in the final three quarters. Gordon was far better. He broke tackles and ran over defenders. He also had a 19-yard run where he eluded two defenders and spun away from another. It’s only one game, but Gordon might just be the running back to own in the event of a De’Von Achane injury.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 350 rushing yards. 10 catches. 70 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 86.

68. Breshard Smith, RB, Chiefs. Bye: 10.

Breshard Smith might have a chance to start for the Chiefs if Isiah Pacheco isn’t recovered.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 440 rushing yards. 10 catches. 50 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 83.

69. Jaleel McLaughlin, RB, Broncos. Bye: 12.

Jaleel McLaughlin was the receiving back last year, but R.J. Harvey could steal the workload.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 310 rushing yards. 24 catches. 130 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 82.

70. Elijah Mitchell, RB, Chiefs. Bye: 10.

Elijah Mitchell will be competing with Kareem Hunt for the backup job behind Isiah Pacheco. He’ll be worth owning if he wins the competition.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 250 rushing yards. 10 catches. 60 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 74.

71. Kendre Miller, RB, Saints. Bye: 11.

Kendre Miller had issues staying healthy last year.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 280 rushing yards. 14 catches. 110 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 71.

72. D.J. Giddens, RB, Colts. Bye: 11.

Khalil Herbert is the No. 2 back in Indianapolis. He’s a must-add if Jonathan Taylor gets hurt.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 180 rushing yards. 14 catches. 90 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 64.

73. Raheem Mostert, RB, Raiders. Bye: 8.

Raheem Mostert is now 33. He’s fading out of the NFL quickly. He’s not much of an option even if Ashton Jeanty were to get hurt.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 250 rushing yards. 16 catches. 130 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 50.
