2025 Fantasy Football Rankings – Running Backs

Last Updated: September 1

Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-40 | 41-75 |

Other Positions: QB | RB | WR | TE
21. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints. Bye: 11.

Alvin Kamara is now 30, so it’s fair to expect him to slow down. He’ll still be a PPR machine though.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 770 rushing yards. 65 catches. 510 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 164.

22. Tony Pollard, RB, Titans. Bye: 10.

Tyjae Spears has been ruled out for four weeks. This obviously bolsters Tony Pollard’s stock.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 1,060 rushing yards. 38 catches. 220 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 164.

23. Aaron Jones, RB, Vikings. Bye: 6.

Aaron Jones had a great year and managed to remain healthy for once. He’s now 31, so it’ll be surprising if that happens again. Jones will be helped by major improvements to the offensive line.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 820 rushing yards. 50 catches. 390 receiving yards. 7 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 163.

24. Isiah Pacheco, RB, Chiefs. Bye: 10.

Isiah Pacheco drew the start in the final preseason game, and there was good news and bad news attached to his performance. The good news is that he looked much more explosive than he did in 2024 as a result of being fully healthy. The bad news is that he rotated with Kareem Hunt. This could be a byproduct of trying to keep Pacheco fresh by not running him into the ground during a preseason game, but it was still discouraging to see something like this.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 850 rushing yards. 27 catches. 180 receiving yards. 10 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 163.

25. Tyrone Tracy, RB, Giants. Bye: 14.

Tyrone Tracy will be the Giants’ lead back in 2025, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN. Raanan has been one of the most accurate team reporters, so I would trust him. Raanan also stated that Cam Skattebo was never going to be a significant part of New York’s rushing attack. This is a massive “L” for people who were drafting Skattebo way too early.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 1,040 rushing yards. 45 catches. 340 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 162.

26. James Conner, RB, Cardinals. Bye: 8.

James Conner told the media that he expects to split touches with Trey Benson this year. Conner is 30, so it’s only natural that his workload would diminish a bit.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 850 rushing yards. 36 catches. 290 receiving yards. 8 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 162.

27. Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seahawks. Bye: 8.

Although Jalen Milroe ran the “Tush Push” on one occasion during the opening drive of the second preseason game, Zach Charbonnet had a great performance to improve his fantasy stock. Charbonnet rushed for nine yards per carry and looked every bit as tremendous as that stat line indicates. His first carry was a 13-yard explosive rush through a big hole, thanks to a huge block by rookie guard Grey Zabel. Later on that drive, Charbonnet burst through a huge hole for a 15-yard touchdown. With Zabel and mauling fullback Robbie Ouzts on the field, Seattle’s running backs are in for a big season, and Kenneth Walker was nowhere to be seen in this game because of his injury. Walker will likely return soon, but he’s injury-prone and could be traded because he’s in the final year of his contract. Charbonnet is a must-draft player in the mid rounds.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 750 rushing yards. 38 catches. 290 receiving yards. 7 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 161.

28. David Montgomery, RB, Lions. Bye: 8.

David Montgomery is no longer the first running back on the field. Jahmyr Gibbs is now getting the first-team looks. Montgomery’s stock has taken a serious hit with Ben Johnson and two interior linemen both gone.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 810 rushing yards. 30 catches. 260 receiving yards. 9 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 161.

29. Tank Bigsby, RB, Jaguars. Bye: 8.

Tank Bigsby started over Travis Etienne in the second preseason game. Bigsby looked good, but so did Etienne. This could be a frustrating time share, but Bigsby at least started.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 830 rushing yards. 22 catches. 150 receiving yards. 7 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 140.

30. Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Redskins. Bye: 12.

Chris Rodriguez started the preseason finale along with the deep backups. That is potentially a huge development because Jacory Croskey-Merritt didn’t play. That’s an extremely bullish indication for Croskey-Merritt, who could be in line for the bulk of the early-down workload.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 820 rushing yards. 10 catches. 60 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 138.

31. Kaleb Johnson, RB, Steelers. Bye: 5.

Jaylen Warren has been unimpressive thus far in his career as just a runner, so Kaleb Johnson could take his place.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 750 rushing yards. 10 catches. 50 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 136.

32. Brian Robinson, RB, 49ers. Bye: 14.

Kyle Shanahan said that Brian Robinson Jr. will be the team’s new No. 2 running back. It’s hard to trust anything the 49ers say, but Shanahan said that he loves Robinson’s talent.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 580 rushing yards. 10 catches. 80 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 132.

33. Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Patriots. Bye: 14.

Rhamondre Stevenson’s blocking is terrible, but he continues to get opportunities. TreVeyon Henderson could steal his workloa.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 810 rushing yards. 23 catches. 140 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 131.

34. Quinshon Judkins, RB, Browns. Bye: 9.

Quinshon Judkins and the Browns haven’t been able to agree to a deal despite the charges being dropped against him. Anyone who is jumping at the chance to draft Judkins relatively early needs to remember that he’s way behind in practice, and he still doesn’t have a contract yet.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 750 rushing yards. 10 catches. 60 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 131.

35. Jaydon Blue, RB, Cowboys. Bye: 10.

Jaydon Blue continues to get first-team reps in training camp. Blue is the most explosive running back the Cowboys have, so you should target him ahead of his Round 11 ADP.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 670 rushing yards. 32 catches. 240 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 130.

36. Joe Mixon, RB, Texans. Bye: 6.

Joe Mixon will miss the first four games of the year at the very least. This can’t be too much of a surprise, given Mixon’s ankle issues. There’s a chance Mixon will be out for longer.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 580 rushing yards. 28 catches. 190 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 128.

37. Jaylen Warren, RB, Steelers. Bye: 5.

Jaylen Warren took a back seat to Najee Harris last year. He’s the starter right now, but Kaleb Johnson will push for the starting role.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 630 rushing yards. 44 catches. 370 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 128.

38. Jordan Mason, RB, Vikings. Bye: 6.

Jordan Mason proved to be a great backup behind Christian McCaffrey. He’s worth owning just in case Aaron Jones gets hurt.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 650 rushing yards. 10 catches. 80 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 128.

39. JK Dobbins, RB, Broncos

JK Dobbins made many explosive plays last year despite coming off a torn Achilles. He could get plenty of work in Denver despite the second-round pick used on R.J. Harvey.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 650 rushing yards. 20 catches. 120 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 127.

40. Jerome Ford, RB, Browns. Bye: 9.

Jerome Ford has done a solid job replacing Nick Chubb, but he’ll have to fend off Quinshon Judkins.

Projected 2025 Fantasy Stats: 610 rushing yards. 35 catches. 200 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
Projected 2025 Fantasy Points: 124.
