2022 Fantasy Football Rankings - Tight Ends (May 12):
Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-45

Other Positions: QB | RB | WR

  1. C.J. Uzomah, TE, Jets. Bye: 0.

C.J. Uzomah has to share targets with so many talented receivers. He’ll be an appealing option if some of the Jet wideouts get hurt.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 54 catches. 540 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 94.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 148.

  2. Evan Engram, TE, Jaguars. Bye: 0.

Poor quarterbacking and coaching can be blamed, but Evan Engram deserves some of the fault for never developing. Perhaps he’ll do better with Trevor Lawrence, but I’m not holding my breath.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 56 catches. 550 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 89.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 145.

  3. Cameron Brate, TE, Buccaneers. Bye: 0.

Cameron Brate will be worth owning if Rob Gronkowski retires or gets hurt. Otherwise, he belongs on the waiver wire.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 42 catches. 360 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 85.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 127.

  4. Harrison Bryant, TE, Browns. Bye: 0.

Harrison Bryant is a young, athletic tight end who has plenty of potential. Austin Hooper is gone, so that’ll open opportunities for Bryant.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 34 catches. 360 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 85.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 119.

  5. Robert Tonyan, TE, Packers. Bye: 0.

Robert Tonyan missed half the year with a torn ACL, but he wasn’t very productive beforehand. It’ll be difficult for him to thrive coming off such an injury.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 36 catches. 400 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 84.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 120.

  6. Jelani Woods, TE, Colts. Bye: 0.

Jelani Woods is a highly athletic tight end who will have a chance to contribute as a rookie because of Jack Doyle’s retirement.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 30 catches. 380 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 81.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 111.

  7. Brevin Jordan, TE, Texans. Bye: 0.

Brevin Jordan, a fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, didn’t see any action until Week 8, but was a solid contributor down the stretch. He has some upside.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 42 catches. 400 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 80.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 122.

  8. Greg Dulcich, TE, Broncos. Bye: 0.

Greg Dulcich will take Noah Fant’s spot on Denver’s roster. I don’t like rookie tight ends, but Dulcich has some appeal because he’ll be playing with Russell Wilson.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 50 catches. 540 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 79.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 109.

  9. Gerald Everett, TE, Chargers. Bye: 0.

Gerald Everett posted the best stats of his career (48-478-4) despite Russell Wilson missing numerous games. Everett could post similar numbers with Justin Herbert.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 45 catches. 440 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 78.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 123.

  10. Ricky Seals-Jones, TE, Giants. Bye: 0.

Ricky Seals-Jones looked good in relief of an injured Logan Thomas last year. He’s now the favorite to start for the Giants.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 45 catches. 420 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 76.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 121.

  11. Trey McBride, TE, Cardinals. Bye: 0.

Trey McBride will have to fight for snaps with Zach Ertz and Maxx Williams. I have no interest unless injuries occur.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 30 catches. 350 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 73.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 103.

  12. Donald Parham, TE, Chargers. Bye: 0.

Donald Parham is an athletic, young tight end with plenty of upside. It remains to be seen, however, if the Chargers deem him to be the tight end of the future.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 35 catches. 380 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 72.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 107.

  13. Dan Arnold, TE, Jaguars. Bye: 0.

Dan Arnold showed great chemistry with Trevor Lawrence once he joined the Jaguars via trade. He played just eight games because of a knee injury, but it didn’t sound too serious because he nearly returned in the regular season. The Jaguars signed Evan Engram, so Arnold has lost his appeal.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 30 catches. 340 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 66.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 96.

  14. Austin Hooper, TE, Titans. Bye: 0.

The Browns overpaid for Austin Hooper in free agency. He’s been a huge disappontment, so he was released. He’s now the starter in Tennessee, but this is not an exciting situation.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 42 catches. 400 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 64.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 106.

  15. Jonnu Smith, TE, Patriots. Bye: 0.

Jonnu Smith’s production slipped at the end of the year, though it was never high anyway. Smith would need Hunter Henry to get hurt in order to perform on a high level.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 34 catches. 360 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 54.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 88.

  16. Jake Ferguson, TE, Cowboys. Bye: 0.

The Cowboys aren’t expected to re-sign Dalton Schultz after this season, so Jake Ferguson figures to be the starting tight end in 2023 and beyond.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 25 catches. 280 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 50.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 75.

  17. Adam Trautman, TE, Saints. Bye: 0.

Adam Trautman has been a disappointment, but the Saints failed to upgrade him.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 33 catches. 320 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 50.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 83.

  18. Ryan Griffin, TE, Bears. Bye: 0.

Ryan Griffin can be streamed in easy matchups if Cole Kmet gets hurt.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 30 catches. 320 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 50.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 80.

  19. Kyle Rudolph, TE, TBA. Bye: 0.

At this stage of his career, Kyle Rudolph is just a blocking tight end who catches a couple of passes each week. There’s no reason to roster him. In fact, he’s not on an NFL roster right now.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 29 catches. 280 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 40.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 69.

  20. Eric Ebron, TE, TBA. Bye: 0.

Eric Ebron lost his job to Pat Freiermuth last year. Perhaps he’ll go elsewhere and emerge as a below-average starter.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 26 catches. 270 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 39.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 65.

  21. Will Dissly, TE, Seahawks. Bye: 0.

Will Dissly can be a streaming option if Noah Fant were to get hurt. There’s no reason to draft him in any league.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 23 catches. 240 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 36.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 59.

  22. Anthony Firkser, TE, Falcons. Bye: 0.

Anthony Firkser will serve as Hayden Hurst’s replacement as Atlanta’s second tight end. He’ll need a Kyle Pitts injury to be relevant.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 28 catches. 240 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 36.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 64.

  23. O.J. Howard, TE, Bills. Bye: 0.

O.J. Howard fell out of favor with Tom Brady. He could contribute in Buffalo if Dawson Knox were to get hurt.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 26 catches. 240 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 36.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 62.

  24. Jack Doyle, TE, TBA. Bye: 0.

Jack Doyle has retired, but could always be coaxed into returning to a tight end-needy team making a playoff run.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 0 catches. 0 yards. 0 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 0.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 0.
