2022 Fantasy Football Rankings - Tight Ends (May 12):
Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-45
Other Positions: QB | RB | WR
-
Logan Thomas, TE, Redskins. Bye: 0.
Logan Thomas had a huge 2020 campaign, but he couldn’t maintain his numbers because of an injury-plagued 2021 season in which he played six games. Thomas should bounce back in 2022.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 64 catches. 660 yards. 7 total TDs.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 108.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 172.
-
Pat Friermuth, TE, Steelers. Bye: 0.
Pat Freiermuth had a stellar rookie campaign despite dealing with a decrepit Ben Roethlisberger. He’ll improve with more experience, though the quarterback situation is a huge problem.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 68 catches. 660 yards. 7 total TDs.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 108.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 176.
-
Irv Smith Jr., TE, Vikings. Bye: 0.
I liked irv Smith Jr. last summer, but he tore his meniscus and missed the entire season. He could have that big leap in 2022.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 56 catches. 650 yards. 7 total TDs.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 107.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 163.
-
Noah Fant, TE, Seahawks. Bye: 0.
Noah Fant saw slight imprvements in his stats from 2020 to 2021. However, his production will always be limited by poor quarterbacking until that’s addressed, now in Seattle.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 72 catches. 720 yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 107.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 179.
-
Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Broncos. Bye: 0.
Albert Okwuegbunam has received a big boost in the wake of the Russell Wilson trade, both because Wilson is now his quarterback and because Noah Fant is gone.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 58 catches. 610 yards. 6 total TDs.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 107.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 165.
-
Mike Gesicki, TE, Dolphins. Bye: 0.
Mike Gesicki posted career-highs in receptions and yardage, and that was even without the extra game. His touchdown total fell, but that could regress to the mean in 2022. In fact, his numbers could decline overall because of Tyreek Hill’s presence.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 70 catches. 750 yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 105.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 175.
-
Hunter Henry, TE, Patriots. Bye: 0.
Hunter Henry was a huge presence in the end zone for Mac Jones in the quarterback’s rookie year. Henry approached double-digit touchdowns for the first time in his career. He was also more productive when Jonnu Smith was hurt, so keep that in mind if Smith were to miss action.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 52 catches. 570 yards. 8 total TDs.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 105.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 157.
-
Dawson Knox, TE, Bills. Bye: 0.
The Bills threatened Dawson Knox’s job ahead of the 2021 season, but Knox stepped up and played well. He’s entering his fourth year, so he should continue to improve, though I’d expect his touchdown total to regress to the mean.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 57 catches. 660 yards. 6 total TDs.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 102.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 159.
-
Hayden Hurst, TE, Bengals. Bye: 0.
Hayden Hurst will have a chance to be a big producer in 2022, as he’s the favorite to replace C.J. Uzomah as Cincinnati’s starting tight end.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 54 catches. 550 yards. 6 total TDs.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 101.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 155.
-
Cole Kmet, TE, Bears. Bye: 0.
Cole Kmet doubled his production from his rookie year. He was more productive at the end of the season, which could allow him to have an even better 2022.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 65 catches. 670 yards. 4 total TDs.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 101.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 166.
-
Tyler Higbee, TE, Rams. Bye: 0.
The Rams have a crowded receiving corps, which makes it difficult for Tyler Higbee to reach his full potential.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 58 catches. 600 yards. 5 total TDs.
Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 100.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 158.
