2025 NFL Draft Day 3 Sleepers
Third-day Sleepers for the 2025 NFL Draft
By Charlie Campbell – @draftcampbell
Throughout NFL history, there have been steals in the mid to late rounds of the NFL Draft. Some of these players are backups for a few seasons before earning starting roles and excelling. This article picks out some potential sleepers for day three that could be draft-day steals. Perhaps some of these players will be similar values this year.
Jarquez Hunter, RB, Auburn
Hunter was a physical load for Auburn and ran really hard for the Tigers in 2024. He averaged 6.4 yards per carry for 1,201 yards with eight touchdowns. He had 21 receptions for 155 yards and a touchdown. In 2023, he averaged 5.7 yards per carry for 909 yards with seven touchdowns. The 5-foot-9, 205-pound Hunter is a physical downhill runner who can get yards after contact and is a very hard-nosed back. Hunter also is a good special teams player and showed excellent speed at the combine with a time of 4.44 seconds. He could be a day-three steal in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Woody Marks, RB, USC
Marks ran well for the Trojans in 2024, averaging 5.7 yards per carry for 1,133 yards with nine touchdowns. He had 47 catches for 321 yards through the air. Marks has a strong build to run between the tackles and he is an excellent receiver. That was evident at the Senior Bowl as Marks had an impressive week of practice. Some team sources think he could be a good rotational back and a solid mid-round pick.
Garrett Dillinger, G, LSU
Dillinger (6-4, 325) was a solid blocker for the Tigers over the past few seasons. While he is not a dominator, he is versatile as he also had starts at left tackle and center during his collegiate career. As a senior, he played mainly left guard. He could be cross-trained along the line to be a valuable game-day backup.
Miles Frazier, G, LSU
Frazier started out his college career at Florida International before transferring to the Tigers. In 2024, Frazier played right guard for the Tigers and had a solid season. The 6-foot-6, 317-pounder is a big guard with power at the point of attack. I think he could be a mid-rounder that turns into a really good starting right guard in the NFL.
Vernon Broughton, DT, Texas
The 6-foot-5, 311-pound Broughton is big and physical at the point of attack. He also flashed some quickness and athleticism. Prior to 2024, Broughton was buried on the depth chart behind Byron Murphy and T’Vondre Sweat. In his final season, Broughton was a tough defender, totaling 38 tackles with three sacks. He could be a nice mid-rounder that turns into a nice rotational defender.
Jah Joyner, DE, Minnesota
Joyner had 32 tackles with 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and seven passes batted. He has some talent and length, but sources felt Joyner is inconsistent and lacks physicality in run defense. Thus, they see him as more of a designated pass rusher. He lacks some speed to power, hand usage, and rush plan. That being said, Joyner (6-4, 262) has good height, weight, speed, and upside to develop. He flashed ability at the Senior Bowl and could be a sleeper steal in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Nohl Williams, CB, Cal
Williams was a tough corner for the Bears in 2024. He recorded 52 tackles with seven interceptions, eight passes broken up, and a forced fumble. Williams had a nice Senior Bowl performance showing the ability to run with receivers and prevent separation. The 6-foot, 200-pounder may not have speed to burn, but I think he could turn into a solid rotational outside corner that fits well in a zone scheme.
Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas
Mukuba will slide because he is undersized at 5-foot-11, 186 pounds, and Mukuba was an inconsistent tackler in college. However, he showed improvement in his final season with Texas and also made some big plays on the ball while recording four interceptions and six passes broken up. He has good instincts in coverage and covers a lot of ground with his 4.45 speed. If Mukuba can get stronger and improve his tackling, he could be a steal in the 2025 NFL Draft.
