Josh Allen, OLB, Jaguars. Age: 27.
Franchised by Jaguars
Josh Allen is one of the elite edge rushers in the NFL. He isn’t 27 yet, so he should play at the top of his game for the duration of his next contract.
Brian Burns, OLB, Panthers. Age: 26.
Franchised by Panthers (traded to Giants)
It’s hard to believe Brian Burns is still only 26. He’s one of the most explosive edge rushers in the NFL.
Leonard Floyd, OLB, Bills. Age: 31.
Signed with 49ers
Leonard Floyd has registered at least nine sacks in each of the past four seasons.
Shaq Barrett, OLB, Buccaneers. Age: 31.
Signed with Dolphins (1 year, $9 million)
Shaq Barrett isn’t nearly the dominant pass-rushing force he was for the Buccaneers a few years ago, but he can still apply pressure on the quarterback. At 31, however, he’s on the decline.
Bryce Huff, OLB, Jets. Age: 26.
Signed with Eagles (3 years, $51.1 million)
Bryce Huff was not an every-down player last year, but he made a big impact as a pass rusher.
Josh Uche, OLB, Patriots. Age: 25.
Re-signed with Patriots
Josh Uche showed great pass-rushing ability in 2022, but was not nearly as much of a factor this past season.
Anfernee Jennings, OLB, Patriots. Age: 27.
Re-signed with Patriots (3 years)
Anfernee Jennings is a strong run defender, but is abysmal in coverage.
Isaiah Simmons, OLB, Giants. Age: 26.
Isaiah Simmons was a big disappointment for the Cardinals, but he performed well in Wink Martindale’s system with the Giants.
Bud Dupree, OLB, Falcons. Age: 31.
Bud Dupree is a quality pass rusher, but he may lose his effectiveness as he ventures into his 30s.
