Fantasy Football Week 6 Running Back Rankings – PPR

To differentiate between all the “Start ‘Ems” on my Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy running back rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season.

The rankings are based on a PPR scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com’s projected stats and PPR scoring points.

2013 Fantasy Football Weekly Rankings – PPR: RB | WR | TE

Updated 10/10 – Follow @walterfootball for updates.
  1. Jamaal Charles, RB, Chiefs (vs. Raiders) – 27 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 7 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Raiders are a surprising 11th against the run, but Jamaal Charles will do most of his damage via receiving yardage.

  2. Adrian Peterson, RB, Vikings (vs. Panthers) – 24 Points
150 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Pro Bowl fullback Jerome Felton is back, so Adrian Peterson should be back to 2012 form.

  3. Reggie Bush, RB, Lions (at Browns) – 22 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Reggie Bush has a tough matchup against the Browns, but having Calvin Johnson back will help open things up for him.

  4. LeSean McCoy, RB, Eagles (at Bucs) – 21 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Buccaneers have limited three of four opponents to 75 rushing yards or fewer.

  5. Darren Sproles, RB, Saints (at Patriots) – 21 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 7 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  6. Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seahawks (vs. Titans) – 20 Points
100 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Titans have surrendered at least 100 rushing yards to three of their four previous opponents.

  7. Matt Forte, RB, Bears (vs. Giants) – 20 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Giants actually aren’t that bad against the run, but Matt Forte will be a big part of the passing game.

  8. Ray Rice, RB, Ravens (vs. Packers) – 19 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Dolphins are tough to run against, but Ray Rice should get receptions this week.

  9. DeMarco Murray, RB, Cowboys (vs. Redskins) – 19 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 6 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.
Washington ranks 30th against the run.

  10. Doug Martin, RB, Bucs (vs. Eagles) – 18 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Eagles are 21st against the run.

  11. Marcel Reece, RB, Raiders (at Chiefs) – 18 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Marcel Reece could receive most of the workload.

  12. Fred Jackson, RB, Bills (vs. Bengals) – 17 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Fred Jackson had a solid Thursday night despite spraining his MCL. The extra time off can only help.

  13. Alfred Morris, RB, Redskins (at Cowboys) – 16 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Cowboys stink against the pass, but they’re just average versus the run.

  14. Knowshon Moreno, RB, Broncos (vs. Jaguars) – 16 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Knowshon Moreno is the lead dog in the backfield, but the Broncos have shown that they’ll test out Montee Ball in a blowout.

  15. Danny Woodhead, RB, Chargers (vs. Colts) – 16 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 7 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.

  16. Frank Gore, RB, 49ers (vs. Cardinals) – 15 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Cardinals are fourth against the run, but Frank Gore should still be treated like an RB2.

  17. Arian Foster, RB, Texans (vs. Rams) – 15 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Arian Foster has actually looked pretty decent the past couple of weeks.

  18. Trent Richardson, RB, Colts (at Chargers) – 14 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Regardless of whether or not Ahmad Bradshaw is in the lineup, Trent Richardson will always be a threat to score.

  19. Bilal Powell, RB, Jets (vs. Steelers) – 12 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
Now entrenched as the primary ball-carrier.

  20. Giovani Bernard, RB, Bengals (at Bills) – 11 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
The Bills are decent against the run, so Giovani Bernard will have to do most of his damage as a receiver out of the backfield.

  21. Le’Veon Bell, RB, Steelers (at Jets) – 11 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
New York has the No. 2 rush defense in the NFL.

  22. Andre Ellington, RB, Cardinals (at 49ers) – 10 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
Andre Ellington’s role will continue to increase.

  23. Brandon Bolden, RB, Patriots (vs. Saints) – 10 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  24. C.J. Spiller, RB, Bills (vs. Bengals) – 9 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
    C.J. Spiller’s not fully healthy. He’s a low-end RB2 at best.

  25. Joique Bell, RB, Lions (at Browns) – 9 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  26. DeAngelo Williams, RB, Panthers (at Vikings) – 8 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  27. Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, Jaguars (at Broncos) – 8 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
The Jaguars will have to abandon the running game early on.

  28. Eddie Lacy, RB, Packers (at Ravens) – 7 Points
    60 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch.
Eddie Lacy looked solid in his return, but Baltimore is eighth versus the run.

  29. Stevan Ridley, RB, Patriots (vs. Saints) – 7 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
Stevan Ridley could be back next week.

  30. Chris Johnson, RB, Titans (at Seahawks) – 7 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
Chris Johnson has been a major disappointment. I’d sit him against the Seahawks.

  31. Chris Ogbonnaya, RB, Browns (vs. Lions) – 7 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  32. Da’Rel Scott, RB, Giants (at Bears) – 7 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  33. Pierre Thomas, RB, Saints (at Patriots) – 7 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  34. Zac Stacy, RB, Rams (at Texans) – 6 Points
    60 Rushing Yards.
Zac Stacy is now the primary ball-carrier. Unfortunately, he has to battle Houston’s 13th-ranked run defense.

  35. Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Cardinals (at 49ers) – 6 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
Rashard Mendenhall stinks, so his role will continue to be reduced.

  36. Ronnie Hillman, RB, Broncos (vs. Jaguars) – 6 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.

  37. Daryl Richardson, RB, Rams (at Texans) – 6 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  38. Ben Tate, RB, Texans (vs. Rams) – 6 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Ben Tate is a better runner than Arian Foster. He needs more touches.

  39. Ryan Mathews, RB, Chargers (vs. Colts) – 5 Points
    50 Rushing Yards.
Suffered a concussion on Sunday night.

  40. Jonathan Dwyer, RB, Steelers (at Jets) – 5 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  41. Willis McGahee, RB, Browns (vs. Lions) – 4 Points
    40 Rushing Yards.

  42. Bernard Pierce, RB, Ravens (vs. Packers) – 4 Points
    40 Rushing Yards.

  43. Mike Goodson, RB, Jets (vs. Steelers) – 4 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  44. BenJarvus Green-Ellis, RB, Bengals (at Bills) – 3 Points
    30 Rushing Yards.

  45. Brandon Jacobs, RB, Giants (at Bears) – 3 Points
    30 Rushing Yards.

  46. LeGarrette Blount, RB, Patriots (vs. Saints) – 3 Points
    30 Rushing Yards.

  47. Khiry Robinson, RB, Saints (at Patriots) – 3 Points
    30 Rushing Yards.

  48. Montee Ball, RB, Broncos (vs. Jaguars) – 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.

  49. Chris Ivory, RB, Jets (vs. Steelers) – 2 Points
    20 Rushing Yards.

  50. Michael Bush, RB, Bears (vs. Giants) – 1 Points
    10 Rushing Yards.

  51. Tashard Choice, RB, Bills (vs. Bengals) – 0 Points

  52. Ahmad Bradshaw, RB, Colts (at Chargers) – 0 Points
Ahmad Bradshaw will be out for a while.

  56. Steven Jackson, RB, Falcons (vs. BYE) – 0 Points

  57. Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Falcons (vs. BYE) – 0 Points
