2025 Could be Strong WR Draft

Rolled Newspaper bearing title: "NFL HOT PRESS"

With college football training camp practices going on around the nation, the NFL team’s area scouts will be starting to dig into the 2025 NFL Draft class, visiting practices and talking to school contacts about the players. While it is far too early to say that there are certain positions of strength and weakness for the 2025 NFL Draft, one general manager told me that he believes the potential is there for the 2025 class to be a good year for wide receiver talent.

“You never know for sure this early, but wide receiver could be strong,” he said. “I feel that way based on work from last year. Some guys you couldn’t help but notice.”

Speaking with some area and national scouts, there is already buzz about Missouri’s Luther Burden, Arizona’s Tretairoa McMillan, and Oregon’s Evan Stewart. I’ve also heard some scouts praise Oklahoma wide outs Deion Burks and Nic Anderson. Texas A&M’s Moose Muhammad is another who some feel is a talented player to watch. In my latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft, I have a lot of these wide receivers going in the first two rounds. As usual, prospects will rise and fall during the season and lead up to the draft, but heading into the college football season, it looks like the 2025 class has the potential to be a strong year for wide receiver talent.
