Iowa vs. Iowa State

Iowa
12 Ricky Stanzi
94 Adrian Clayborn
46 Christian Ballard

Iowa State
72 Kelechi Osemele

Ricky Stanzi

1st – 13:55 – All day to throw in pocket … goes with read progression and checks down

1st – 13:06 – Ball comes very smooth out of Stanzi’s hands, nice touch, but ball is very inaccurate here on go route …

1st – 10:37 – Good job hanging in pocket and taking hit … very calm and poised … good job reading Cover 2 defense and throwing accurate ball to WR on skinny post.

2nd – 12:03 – Lots of time in pocket to throw, but perfect accuracy here in stride of receiver … nice tough and perfect trajectory

2nd – 7:31 – No pressure in pocket … very accurate throw … it was “overthrown” but I feel like this was an accurate ball any NFL WR would catch.

Adrian Clayborn

1st – 8:00 – Physical and hits RB with authority in backfield … killer instinct and intense

2nd – 13:22 – Fights in the phone booth … really competes

2nd – 12:53 – Nice swim move and change of direction here vs. LT

2nd – 10:02 – Nice bull rush and shows strength here … gets LT off balance

2nd – 8:24 – Excellent hands … TE gets arm extension but Clayborn doesn’t let him get into his body … disengages easily and gets involved

2nd – 2:17 – Good job of protecting legs on RB chop block … active, hustles and gets involved in tackle … Clayborn knows how to play the game

2nd – 1:49 – Nice club move … gets past LT with speed and athleticism … good flexibility to run the arc and earns QB hurry … makes big hit on QB

2nd – 1:14 – Like his instincts here … doesn’t make much of a play but was assigned to contain and read QB eyes … nice awareness and moves to cover WR on drag route

2nd – 0:35 – Powerful at POA on X-stunt … really competes and gets physical

Christian Ballard

2nd – 2:17 – Gets run blocked easily … very finesse and hasn’t made a play all game

2nd – 1:05 – Love his swim move from DE position … eye-opening athleticism here and hits QB
