2025 NFL Team Needs

NFL Team Needs for all 32 teams will be posted on one page this year. Teams will be listed and added in NFL Draft order.

Tennessee Titans Tennessee Titans 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Quarterback: The Titans sorely need a franchise quarterback. Luckily, they have the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to find a solution.

Two Interior Offensive Linemen: The Titans need a center and a guard with Dillon Radunz entering free agency.

Wide Receiver: DeAndre Hopkins was traded, opening up a major need for the Titans across from Calvin Ridley.

Linebacker: Moving to the defense, Tennessee had some of the worst linebacker play in the NFL last year after Ernest Jones was traded.

Edge Rusher: Tennessee had the fourth-worst pressure rate in the NFL last year. An upgrade is needed across from Harold Landry.

Safety: Quandre Diggs is Tennessee’s top free agent. He’ll need to be re-signed or replaced.

Kicker: Nick Folk is coming off a great year, but he’s also set to hit free agency.

Cleveland Browns Cleveland Browns 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Quarterback: Deshaun Watson is out for 2025, but it doesn’t matter. The Browns need to obtain a new franchise quarterback. They can do that with the No. 2 overall pick.

Left Tackle: Jedrick Wills was a huge disappointment last year. He’s entering free agency regardless, so the Browns need to find a new left tackle for whomever they obtain to play quarterback.

Running Back: Nick Chubb looked like a shell of his former self last year. He may never be the same ever again, but he’s an impending free agent anyway.

Defensive Tackle: Cleveland could use some talented defensive linemen to pair with Myles Garrett and the other talented edge rushers.

Wide Receiver: The Browns could stand to add a slot receiver with Elijah Moore hitting free agency.

Cornerback: Cleveland has some highly regarded cornerbacks, but outside of Denzel Ward, no one played well at the position last year.

Kicker: Dustin Hopkins was just 18-of-27 last season.

New York Giants New York Giants 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Quarterback: Daniel Jones is gone. The Giants need to start over with a new franchise quarterback anyway.

Two Interior Offensive Linemen: New York can’t make the same mistake it made with Daniel Jones. Protecting its next quarterback is essential. A new guard and center are needed.

Two Cornerbacks: New York’s top defensive need is at cornerback. Andru Phillips is great in the slot, but two new players are needed on the outside.

Wide Receiver: Malik Nabers is terrific, but the Giants need a No. 2 receiver, especially with Darius Slayton entering free agency.

Defensive Tackle: Dexter Lawrence is a stud, but the Giants don’t have anything else at defensive tackle.

Safety: New York needs another safety to play next to the talented Tyler Nubin.

Linebacker: The Giants could use a better linebacker next to Bobby Okereke.

Punter: New York’s punter is entering free agency.

New England Patriots New England Patriots 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Offensive Tackles: It’s a miracle Drake Maye survived last year. The Patriots had the worst tackle play we’ve seen in a long time. There will be plenty of tackle options atop the second round.

Two Wide Receivers: Maye had no one to threw to last year besides Demario Douglas. Two new outside receivers must be acquired. One can be obtained at No. 4 overall.

Two Interior Offensive Linemen: The interior blocking must improve as well, though it’s not nearly as pressing as the tackle situation.

Defensive End: Keion White was a pleasant surprise for New England last year. He was the only Patriot putting consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

Running Back: The Patriots could stand to upgrade running back with Rhamondre Stevenson fumbling often last year.

Linebacker: This is way down the list, but the Patriots could use a better linebacker stating next to Christian Elliss.

Kicker: Joey Slye is hitting free agency, but a better kicker was needed anyway.

Jacksonville Jaguars Jacksonville Jaguars 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Defensive Tackles: Jacksonville had some of the worst defensive tackle play in the NFL last year. The team couldn’t stop the run or generate any interior pressure on the quarterback. The Jaguars were 31st in pressure rate last year.

Two Safeties: Andre Cisco is an impending free agent, while Darnell Savage was a colossal disappointment last year. The Jaguars have struggled against the pass for years.

Two Interior Offensive Linemen: The Jaguars must bolster their pass protection to ensure Trevor Lawrence’s health. Center is a big weakness, while Brandon Scherff is set to hit free agency.

Cornerback: There’s a huge hole on the roster across from Tyson Campbell. Poor cornerback play is another reason why Jacksonville has been poor against the pass.

Wide Receiver: Brian Thomas Jr. enjoyed an incredible rookie campaign. The Jaguars don’t have much else at outside receiver with Gabe Davis being a predictable disappointment.

Defensive End Depth: The Jaguars could use some better edge-rushing depth to improve their poor pressure rate.

Right Tackle: Jacksonville could find someone to challenge Anton Harrison, who hasn’t lived up to his first-round billing yet.

Linebacker Depth: The Jaguars don’t have very good depth at linebacker.

Backup Quarterback: Mac Jones and C.J. Beathard are both set to hit free agency. Lawrence hasn’t had a healthy season since 2022.

Las Vegas Raiders Las Vegas Raiders 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Quarterback: The Raiders were in position to draft a franchise quarterback, but senselessly won two games at the end of the year to move themselves out of position. They’ll need to find a solution somehow.

Three Cornerbacks: The Raiders had one of the weaknest groups of cornerbacks in the NFL last year. The only good player they had at the position was Nate Hobbs, and he’s about to hit free agency.

Two Defensive Tackles: There was nothing next to Christian Wilkins, and then Wilkins suffered a season-ending injury. The Raiders could stand to add two defensive tackles.

Two Linebackers: Here’s another position where the Raiders need two players, but for different reasons. Their top two linebackers – Robert Spillane, Divine Deablo – are set to hit free agency.

Running Back: Josh Jacobs was sorely missed last year. Luckily for the Raiders, there are plenty of talented running backs available on Day 2.

Guard: Las Vegas’ offensive line must improve. Guard is the obvious weakness in the trenches.

Wide Receiver: Jakobi Meyers is a solid No. 2 option, but Davante Adams’ presence was missed after the first two games last year.

Defensive End: Malcolm Koonce was set to be a very dangerous bookend for Maxx Crosby in 2024, but he never played because of an injury. Now, he’s an impending free agent, so he’ll need to be re-signed or replaced.

Safety: Trevon Moehrig is another key free agent who will have to be re-signed or replaced, but at least undrafted free agent Thomas Harper showed some potential down the stretch.

Offensive Tackle Depth: D.J. Glaze had a fine rookie year, but he may not be good enough. It would make sense to add a veteran swing tackle just in case.

New York Jets New York Jets 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Quarterback: The Aaron Rodgers gambit failed miserably. Perhaps the Jets give Rodgers another chance because of a lack of other options. However, they may decide to go back to square one (or square zero, according to a Hall of Fame running back.)

Two Safeties: Safety has been a huge need for the Jets for a very long time. New York has several players at the position with expiring contracts, but they needed to be upgraded anyway.

Defensive Tackle: The Jets don’t have much at defensive tackle besides Quinnen Williams. They’ll have even less with Javon Kinlaw and Leki Fotu entering free agency. Help is needed against the run.

Edge Rusher: Haason Reddick was a big disappointment last year, while Jermaine Johnson tore his Achilles in the second game of the season. The Jets will need someone else to rush the quarterback.

Offensive Tackle: Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses impending free agents. With Olu Fashanu in the mix, one of the tackles will need to be re-signed.

Tight End: New York could have obtained Brock Bowers in the 2024 NFL Draft, but Joe Douglas didn’t think a tight end was worth drafting in the first round. Oops.

Wide Receiver: Unless you count Malachi Corley, who only dropped a touchdown last year, the Jets don’t have anything behind their top two receivers.

Cornerback: D.J. Reed is an important free agent the Jets will need to re-sign or replace.

Carolina Panthers Carolina Panthers 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Edge Rushers: Brian Burns was sorely missed last year, as the Panthers finished dead last in pressure rate. Two new edge rushers must be acquired. One could be obtained at No. 8 overall.

Two Defensive Tackles: Carolina also needs two new defensive linemen for its three-man front. Derrick Brown is great, but the Panthers don’t have much else on the defensive line.

Two Safeties: The Panthers were awful at covering downfield last year. They need two new safeties.

Two Cornerbacks: Another position in which the Panthers need multiple cornerbacks. Re-signing Michael Jackson would solve one of the needs.

Wide Receiver: Adam Thielen is still effective in the slot, while Xavier Legette could be a solid No. 2 receiver one day. But the Panthers need a top-end wideout.

Center: Carolina didn’t have a real center last year. Austin Corbett tried his best before getting injured, but wasn’t good enough.

Linebacker: Shaq Thompson is an impending free agent, but he’s a 31-year-old coming off injury anyway.

Quarterback: Bryce Young played well at the end of the year, but the Panthers should think about finding a veteran backup as an insurance policy.

Kicker: Eddy Pineiro is an impending free agent.

Punter: Johnny Hekker is also set to hit free agency.

New Orleans Saints New Orleans Saints 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Cornerbacks: Marshon Lattimore is gone, while Paulson Adebo is heading toward free agency. A new cornerback is needed across from Kool-Aid McKinstry. Meanwhile, New Orleans was pitiful against slot receivers last year, so a new slot cornerback must be acquired.

Two Safeties: The rest of the secondary must be repaired as well. Both safeties from last year are entering free agency. This includes Tyrann Mathieu, who is coming off a down year.

Defensive Tackle: New Orleans had very weak play at defensive tackle last year. This can be addressed early in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Guard: If Trevor Penning can recover from his injury, New Orleans’ top position of need on the offensive line is at right guard.

Defensive End: Carl Granderson was great for the Saints last year, but a bookend is needed for him, especially if Chase Young leaves in free agency.

Quarterback: Unless the Saints still believe in Spencer Rattler, they’ll need to find a quarterback who can eventually supplant Derek Carr.

Tight End: Taysom Hill is coming off a torn ACL, while Juwan Johnson is an impending free agent.

Wide Receiver Depth: The Saints will get back Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed next year, but the Saints won’t have much behind them once again.

Chicago Bears Chicago Bears 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Three Interior Offensive Linemen: Caleb Williams took an insane number of sacks last year. Much of that was on him and his low football IQ, but the interior offensive line had its issues. Teven Jenkins missed several games and will be entering free agency. Coleman Shelton was decent at center last season, but also will be hitting free agency. Matt Pryor’s contract is set to expire as well. Unfortunately for the Bears, this isn’t a great interior offensive line draft class.

Two Defensive Tackles: The interior of Chicago’s defensive line must be addressed as well. Two players are needed here to help Chicago’s pitiful run defense. Perhaps Mason Graham will be part of the solution at No. 10.

Defensive End: The Bears didn’t get much of a pass rush outside of Montez Sweat last year. They should acquire a bookend for Sweat. There will be plenty of opportunities for them to do that in the early rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Cornerback: Chicago needs help across from Jaylon Johnson. Tyrique Stevenson was a major headcase last year.

Slot Receiver: Keenan Allen struggled to begin the season with some weird weight issues, but he was very productive down the stretch. He’s due to hit free agency.

Running Back: D’Andre Swift looked good at times last year, but his durability is a huge question mark.

San Francisco 49ers San Francisco 49ers 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Interior Offensive Linemen: The 49ers have to fix their blocking in order to improve in the red zone. Center is a big weakness, while left guard Aaron Banks is an impending free agent who probably could be upgraded anyway.

Two Defensive Tackles: Once San Francisco is done bolstering its offensive line, it can work on the defensive interior, which was a huge liability last year. There will be plenty of options early in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Defensive End: Despite Nick Bosa’s presence, the 49ers had the ninth-worst pressure rate in the NFL last year. A bookend is needed for Bosa.

Offensive Tackle: Trent Williams is still arguably the best left tackle in the NFL, but he’s 37. San Francisco hs to find a successor.

Linebacker: Dre Greenlaw was sorely missed last year, and now he’ll be entering free agency.

Safety: The 49ers have some solid safeties, but Talanoa Hufanga is a special player who will be entering the open market.

Cornerback: Charvarius Ward is another free agent who should be re-signed or replaced.

Wide Receiver: Deebo Samuel figures to be gone, while Brandon Aiyuk is coming off a torn ACL. The 49ers may want to add some depth at receiver.

Kicker: Jake Moody was completely unreliable last year.

Punter: Mitch Wishnowsky had the worst punting average in the NFL this past season.

Dallas Cowboys Dallas Cowboys 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Wide Receivers: The Cowboys don’t have anything outside of CeeDee Lamb at receiver, and now it’s going to get worse (worster?) with Brandin Cooks heading for free agency.

Two Defensive Tackles: Dallas can kill two stones with one bird by obtaining a pair of interior defensive line upgrades, in that it can bolster its run defense and interior pass rush. Re-signing Osa Odighizuwa would kill one of those stones.

Running Back: If I had a nickel for every time I heard a stupid NFL TV analyst say that the Cowboys would’ve been a playoff team with Derrick Henry, I’d have a lot of dimes. Nevertheless, running back was an obvious weakness on the team, and now Rico Dowdle is entering free agency.

Guard: Zack Martin hinted at retirement, so Dallas will be going back to square zero at one of the guard spots.

Offensive Tackle: Here’s another position the Cowboys must upgrade. Tyler Guyton was debacled in pass protection last year. He was only a rookie, and a first-round rookie at that, so the Cowboys will give him another chance. They need to add some veteran competition, however.

Linebacker: Eric Kendricks is also entering free agency. He was great against the run last year, but struggled in coverage. You can’t change the stripes of a leopard, so asking Kendricks to improve in coverage doesn’t seem reasonable.

Defensive End: Dallas could use another bookend for Micah Parsons. DeMarcus Lawrence is an impending free agent, but he was a little long in the mouth anyway.

Slot Cornerback: Jourdan Lewis is coming off his best year. He was sharp as a whistle, but his contract is set to expire.

Punter: Punters are punters, too, and the Cowboys’ punter, Bryan Anger, is yet another free agent who will need to be re-signed or replaced.

Miami Dolphins Miami Dolphins 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Guards: Protecting Tua Tagovailoa is crucial, and the Dolphins couldn’t do that with their two weak guards last year.

Right Tackle: Another position on the offensive line that must be upgraded. Austin Jackson is not cutting it.

Two Defensive Linemen: The Dolphins need two new starters on their three-man front. Calais Campbell is a 39-year-old free agent, while Benito Jones isn’t very good.

Two Safeties: Both of Miami’s starting safeties, Jevon Holland and Jordan Poyer, are set to enter free agency. Holland would be a huge loss.

Linebacker: Jordyn Brooks is a stud linebacker, but Miami needs help around him at the position.

Quarterback: Tagovailoa can’t be counted on to remain healthy. The Dolphins need to invest in a high-end premium backup or a replacement.

Wide Receiver: Tyreek Hill has threatened to leave Miami. Even if he remains, the Dolphins need another receiver to go along with Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Malik Washington.

Indianapolis Colts Indianapolis Colts 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Linebackers: Indianapolis had the most missed tackles in the NFL last year. A big part of that had to do with a pedestrian linebacking corps, which is in need of upgrades around Zaire Franklin.

Two Interior Offensive Linemen: Ryan Kelly and Will Fries are two very talented blockers who will need to be re-signed or replaced to ensure that the team has exceptional blocking.

Cornerback: Covering outside receivers was a problem for the Colts last season. An upgrade at cornerback is sorely needed.

Safety: Julian Blackmon is entering free agency. He’ll need to be replaced if he leaves.

Quarterback: The Colts have a major dilemma with Anthony Richardson. They used a major resource on him, and he has loads of potential, but he was awful last year. Indianapolis needs to find some veteran help at the position in case Richardson continues to regress.

Tight End: Indianapolis has a million tight ends on its roster, and none are very good. There are a couple of talented tight ends available in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Kicker: Matt Gay could be upgraded. He was just 3-of-9 from 50-plus last year.

Atlanta Falcons Atlanta Falcons 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Cornerbacks: Atlanta’s biggest problem last year, aside from Kirk Cousins’ interceptions, was its cornerback play. A.J. Terrell is great, but the Falcons didn’t have much else at the position. A new outside cornerback and a slot corner are needed.

Edge Rusher: The Falcons thought they solved their pass-rushing woes when they obtained Matthew Judon. This turned out to be incorrect, as Judon struggled mightily in Atlanta last year.

Nose Tackle: Eddie Goldman was a liability in the middle of Atlanta’s defensive line last year. He’s entering free agency anyway.

Safety: Jessie Bates is great, but Justin Simmons was a big disappointment next to him this past season.

Center: Drew Dalman is an impending free agent. It’s important for the Falcons to keep their offensive line intact for their new quarterback.

Backup Quarterback: Assuming the Falcons jettison Cousins, they’ll need a veteran backup behind Michael Penix Jr.

Punter: Bradley Pinion had the fourth-worst net punting average last season.

Arizona Cardinals Arizona Cardinals 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Defensive Linemen: Darius Robinson got off to a rough start to his career, but the Cardinals have to hope that he pans out because they had nothing else on the defensive line last year.

Two Guards: It’s important to protect Kyler Murray, given his durability issues, but both starting guards from last year are bound to hit free agency.

Cornerback: Cornerback has been a big problem for the Cardinals for quite some time. Garrett Williams was excellent last year, but Arizona needs a much better option across from him.

Edge Rusher: Zaven Collins is a great talent, but the Cardinals don’t have much else with Dennis Gardeck entering free agency. Even if Gardeck is re-signed, Arizona will need to add another pass rusher.

Linebacker: Kyzir White is another Arizona player entering free agency, but he’s coming off a down year and should probably be upgraded anyway.

Slot Receiver: Greg Dortch is an impending free agent, but he took a step backward last year.

Kicker: Matt Prater has been a steady kicker, but his contract is set to expire.

Cincinnati Bengals Cincinnati Bengals 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Wide Receiver: Tee Higgins is set to hit free agency. Cincinnati’s high-powered offense would take a substantial hit if he were to leave.

Two Guards: Protecting Joe Burrow is essential, yet the Bengals had some of the worst guard play in the NFL last year.

Two Safeties: The Bengals also had some of the worst safety play in the NFL this past season. Two upgrades are needed.

Two Cornerbacks: Cincinnati could use some better competition across from Dax Hill. Meanwhile, Mike Hilton is a significant free agent who would be missed if he were to depart.

Defensive Tackle: The Bengals used two second-day picks on defensive tackles last year, but neither played well. With B.J. Hill entering free agency, Cincinnati will need to re-sign him, add someone else or hope that either Kris Jenkins or McKinnley Jackson improves.

Offensive Tackle: Orlando Brown was disappointing last year. Amarius Mims wasn’t so hot either. Adding a veteran to the mix would make sense. Re-signing Trenton Brown would work as well.

Tight End: Mike Gesicki is another impending free agent who will need to be re-signed or replaced.

Seattle Seahawks Seattle Seahawks 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Three Interior Offensive Linemen: Seattle had the worst interior offensive line groups in the NFL after Connor Williams announced his surprise retirement. The team couldn’t pass protect in the interior and was even worse at opening up running lanes.

Cornerback: Devon Witherspoon and Riq Woolen are two excellent cornerbacks, but the Seahawks need one more talented player at the position.

Linebacker: The Seahawks acquired Ernest Jones, who did a great job of bolstering their run defense. However, his contract is set to expire. If he leaves, the run defense will take a huge hit.

Defensive End: Jarran Reed is a quality pass rusher who will be missed if he departs via free agency. He’ll need to be re-signed or replaced.

Edge Rusher: Another edge rusher to help combat the 49ers and Rams offenses wouldn’t hurt.

Quarterback: Geno Smith turns 35 just after the start of the 2025 season, so the Seahawks should think about adding a young quarterback to the roster.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Linebackers: The Buccaneers couldn’t cover the middle of the field last year. They’ll have nothing at linebacer if Lavonte David leaves via free agency. A linebacker will still be needed if David re-signs.

Two Edge Rushers: Yaya Diaby has emerged as a dangerous edge rusher, but Tampa Bay’s other young edge rushers have disappointed. The Buccaneers need some better pass rushers so they don’t have to blitz as often.

Cornerback: Zyon McCollum played well for a stretch last year, but he was a major liability late in the season. Tampa Bay needs a better cornerback across from Jamel Dean.

Guard: Ben Bredeson was a major liability on Tampa Bay’s offensive front, but his contract is set to expire anyway.

Safety: Jordan Whitehead’s second stint with the Buccaneers wasn’t as fruitful as the first. Help is needed next to Antoine Winfield Jr.

Defensive End: Logan Hall was taken atop the second round in 2022, but he hasn’t lived up to his draft status. An upgrade could be obtained on the defensive line.

Wide Receiver: The Buccaneers could stand to add some depth at receiver behind Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan if Chris Godwin leaves via free agency.

Punter: Tampa Bay had some of the worst punting in the NFL last year.

Denver Broncos Denver Broncos 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Inside Linebackers: The Broncos missed Josey Jewell last year. Cody Barton played well, but he’s entering free agency. If he’s re-signed, the team will still need a new linebacker to play next to him.

Running Back: Sean Payton couldn’t settle on a running back because they were all pedestrian. He’ll be looking for his Alvin Kamara or Mark Ingram this season.

Wide Receiver: Courtland Sutton was great last year, but there was no consistent No. 2 threat. Marvin Mims had some explosive plays at the end of the season, but he might be a tertiary option.

Cornerback: As Jameis Winston showed us in a Monday night thriller, the Broncos need one more cornerback to join Patrick Surtain II and Riley Moss.

Safety: Brandon Jones was great last year, but P.J. Locke needs to be upgraded.

Nose Tackle: D.J. Jones is an impending free agent, but the Broncos needed an upgrade at nose tackle anyway.

Tight End: Denver didn’t have much at tight end last season. It’s unclear why Greg Dulcich fell out of favor with Payton.

Offensive Tackle Depth: Because of some expiring contracts, the Broncos don’t have any depth at offensive tackle.

Edge Rushing Depth: Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper were both great last year, but Denver doesn’t have much depth on the edge.

Punter: Riley Dixon is an impending free agent.

Pittsburgh Steelers Pittsburgh Steelers 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Quarterback: Both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are heading for free agency, but neither was the answer. Pittsburgh has to somehow find a new franchise quarterback despite drafting at No. 21.

Wide Receiver: George Pickens was the only viable receiver Pittsburgh had on its roster last year. That obviously must change.

Two Cornerbacks: Pittsburgh’s cornerback play was abysmal last year. It doesn’t help that Donte Jackson and Cameron Sutton are entering free agency, but both are coming off down seasons.

Two Defensive Ends: Cameron Heyward won’t be around much longer, given that he turns 36 this offseason. Larry Ogunjobi was terrible last year. Some new defensive ends are needed.

Guard: James Daniels was sorely missed last year when he tore his Achilles. Now, he’s about to enter free agency. This will be a huge need if he’s not retained.

Offensive Tackle: Dan Moore is also headed for free agency. Troy Fautanu may move to left tackle, but that just means a right tackle would be needed.

Running Back: Najee Harris’ contract is expiring, but he is mediocre and could be upgraded anyway.

San Angeles Chargers San Angeles Chargers 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Three Defensive Linemen: The Chargers need three new defensive linemen. Poona Ford had a great year, but he’s an impending free agent. The two defensive ends, Morgan Fox and Otito Ogbonnia, both struggled last year.

Wide Receiver: Ladd McConkey was terrific in the slot, but the Chargers need a No. 1 outside receiver.

Two Interior Offensive Linemen: The Chargers have two great offensive tackles, but the interior blocking is a weakness. Right guard is a major liability, while center Bradley Bozeman is entering free agency.

Two Cornerbacks: Both of the Chargers’ starting outside cornerbacks from last season, Asante Samuel Jr. and Kristian Fulton, have expiring contracts. It doesn’t sound like Samuel will return.

Running Back: J.K. Dobbins was shockingly great for the Chargers last year, but he’s headed for free agency, so he’ll need to be re-signed or replaced.

Linebacker: Denzel Perryman is another free agent who will need to be re-signed or replaced.

Punter: JK Scott is yet another Charger who will be entering free agency.

Green Bay Packers Green Bay Packers 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Cornerbacks: Green Bay couldn’t cover the Minnesota receivers in a late-season game. Jaire Alexander can’t stay healthy, while the other cornerbacks on the roster are underwhelming.

Wide Receiver: The Packers have a bunch of No. 2 receivers on their roster. They need a top-end player at the position.

Defensive Tackle: Devonte Wyatt has been a disappointment as a former first-round pick. Green Bay will have to obtain a defensive tackle to challenge for the job.

Defensive End: Lukas Van Ness also hasn’t lived up to expectations yet, so the Packers will have to think about adding some competition on the edge.

Center: Josh Myers will be heading for free agency, but he probably needed to be upgraded anyway.

Kicker: Brandon McManus had a great regular season, but his contract is set to expire.

Punter: Daniel Whelan was 28th in net punting last year.

Minnesota Vikings Minnesota Vikings 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Three Defensive Linemen: The Vikings need a completely new three-man defensive line. Harrison Phillips is a pedestrian player, while Jonathan Bullard and Jerry “Crooked” Tillery are underwhelming impending free agents.

Two Cornerbacks: Some more upgrades for the defense. Minnesota’s top three outside cornerbacks happen to be free agents. Aside from Byron Murphy, they needed to be upgraded anyway.

Two Guards: Dalton Risner is a great pass protector, but his contract is finished. Even if he’s re-signed, the Vikings will need another guard to upgrade Blake Brandel.

Running Back: Aaron Jones was great in his first season in Minnesota, but his contract is set to expire. He’s 30, so the Vikings may want to get younger at running back.

Offensive Tackle Depth: Cam Robinson filled in well as Christian Darrisaw’s replacement, but he’s about to hit free agency. Another insurance policy is needed for either Darrisaw or Brian O’Neill.

Safety: Harrison Smith turns 36 this offseason, so the Vikings may want to add a young safety to the mix.

Houston Texans Houston Texans 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Wide Receivers: It would have been shocking to see receiver as a recommendation as a top need for the Texans a year ago; let alone two receivers. However, Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell both suffered devastating knee injuries, and Diggs is set to hit free agency.

Two Offensive Linemen: Blake Fisher is young and has potential, but he really struggled last year. The Texans could opt to add two guards – one to replace Shaq Mason – and then move Tytus Howard back to right tackle. Houston could also add some veteran competition for Fisher at right tackle.

Two Defensive Tackles: Houston struggled against the run last year. A major reason for that was weak play at defensive tackle. Two new starters are needed at defensive tackle.

Linebacker Depth: The Texans are rather thin at linebacker, so some depth is needed behind the three starters.

Secondary Depth: Almost all of Houston’s reserve secondary players from last season are due to hit free agency.

Los Angeles Rams Los Angeles Rams 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Left Tackle: Re-signing Alaric Jackson is essential. He’s a great blind-side protector and would sorely be missed if he were to depart.

Linebacker: The Rams really struggled to cover the middle of the field last year. Finding a new linebacker to play next to Omar Speights would be a huge boost for the defense.

Cornerback: There were issues covering receivers downfield this past season. Ahkello Witherspoon is an impending free agent, but he should be upgraded anyway.

Wide Receiver: Cooper Kupp was a non-factor down the stretch. Demarcus Robinson is set to enter free agency. The Rams will need to find a new receiver.

Nose Tackle: Bobby Brown is a massive run stuffer. His contract will expire in March, so he’ll have to be re-signed or replaced.

Center: Beaux Limmer struggled last year, but he was a rookie. Perhaps he’ll improve, but the Rams may want to add some competition.

Backup Quarterback: Jimmy Garoppolo will be hitting free agency, so the Rams will need someone else behind Matthew Stafford if Garoppolo leaves.

Baltimore Ravens Baltimore Ravens 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Left Tackle: Ronnie Stanley is an impending free agent. Losing him would be detrimental to Baltimore’s Super Bowl chances. He’ll need to be re-signed or replaced.

Two Guards: Baltimore will have to address its interior blocking as well. Patrick Mekari is also set to hit free agency, while Daniel Faalele struggled last year.

Cornerback: Covering outside receivers was quite the challenge for the Ravens last year. They’re in desperate need of a cornerback upgrade.

Defensive End: Nnamdi Madubuike and Travis Jones are both excellent up front, but the Ravens have a hole at the other spot where Broderick Washington resides.

Wide Receiver: Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman are a solid duo on the outside, but Baltimore could use a better slot receiver than Nelson Agholor.

Linebacker: Patrick Queen was missed last year. Roquan Smith was still tremendous, but the Ravens need some help next to him.

Edge Rusher: The Ravens could use another edge rusher to add to their rotation.

Detroit Lions Detroit Lions 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Cornerbacks: The Lions couldn’t cover the Redskins receivers at all. A big part of that was Carlton Davis’ injury, but Davis is heading for free agency. A replacement is needed if he leaves, and another cornerback will be needed as well.

Defensive End: Detroit’s pass rush diminished when Aidan Hutchinson was lost for the year. The team will need a new edge rusher.

Defensive Tackle: Alim McNeill is great, but he’s coming off a torn ACL, so the Lions need to make sure that they have quality play in the defensive interior.

Guard: Kevin Zeitler is a key free agent who will need to be re-signed or replaced.

Wide Receiver Depth: Detroit will have to acquire a receiver for depth with Tim Patrick entering free agency.

Washington Redskins Washington Redskins 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Two Receivers: Terry McLaurin is a stud. The Redskins had a bunch of other mediocre receivers on the roster last year, and all of them – Noah Brown, Dyami Brown, Olamide Zaccheaus – happen to be entering free agency.

Edge Rusher: Dorance Armstrong is a talented pass rusher, but the Redskins don’t have much else on the edge, so they could use an early draft pick to satisfy the position.

Right Tackle: Andrew Wylie is the weak link on the offensive line, so Washington may want to find an upgrade at right tackle.

Cornerback: The Redskins traded for Marshon Lattimore during the season, but they need to find an upgrade across from him unless they keep Mike Sainristil on the outside. In that case, they’d need a new slot cornerback.

Linebacker: Bobby Wagner was great in his first season with the Redskins, but he’s an impending free agent, so he’ll need to be re-signed or replaced.

Safety: Jeremy Chinn also performed well for Washington last year. He has an expiring contract, too.

Tight End: Zach Ertz is another receiving option heading into free agency. He’s an older player, so Washington will need to get younger at tight end anyway.

Kicker: Austin Seibert will reach free agency if the Redskins don’t re-sign him by March.

Punter: Tress Way is also heading for free agency.

Buffalo Bills Buffalo Bills 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Wide Receiver: The Bills acquired Amari Cooper, but he gave them too many dud performances down the stretch. He could be re-signed, but the Bills still need a new No. 1 receiver for Josh Allen.

Guard: Buffalo has one weakness on the offensive line. That would be at right guard, where O’Cyrus Torrence is stationed.

Cornerback: Rasul Douglas is heading into free agency, but he’s on the wrong side of 30. The Bills will need to find a younger cornerback.

Safety: Damar Hamlin is also an impending free agent. He’s solid in run support, but not very good in coverage.

Defensive Tackle: Buffalo’s defensive tackle depth will take a hit with most of it heading for free agency.

Punter: Sam Martin was just 27th in net punting last year.

Philadelphia Eagles Philadelphia Eagles 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Linebacker: Zack Baun was one of the top linebackers in the NFL last year, but his contract is set to expire. He’ll be very difficult to replace if he leaves.

Wide Receiver: Philadelphia’s receiving depth behind the top two receivers has been lackluster for some time. Jahan Dotson was acquired to fix this, but he’s been a disappointment.

Guard: The Eagles have a terrific offensive line that should remain intact. The problem is that Mekhi Becton is an impending free agent, so he’ll have to be re-signed or replaced.

Edge Rusher: Josh Sweat is an excellent edge rusher. He’ll be entering free agency, so if he leaves, the Eagles will need to replace his production.

Defensive End: Milton Williams is an effective pass rusher, but he’ll be headed for free agency.

Kansas City Chiefs Kansas City Chiefs 2025 NFL Team Needs:
Left Tackle: Blind-side protection was such a huge issue for the Chiefs last year that the team had to move guard Joe Thuney out to left tackle. Kansas City needs a real solution at this position.

Guard: Left tackle isn’t the only problem on the offensive line. Trey Smith is Kansas City’s top impending free agent. He’ll be sorely missed if he departs.

Wide Receiver: Rashee Rice will be back next year, but both Marquise Brown and DeAndre Hopkins are set to hit free agency. Receiver continues to be a need for Kansas City.

Defensive Tackle: Chris Jones is still playing as one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL, but the Chiefs don’t have much next to him, especially with Tershawn Wharton entering free agency.

Defensive End: George Karlaftis was a monster down the stretch, but the Chiefs could stand to add a better bookend for him. Michael Danna is a decent player, but he’d probably be best as a third end.

Linebacker: Nick Bolton is another significant impending free agent who will have to be re-signed or replaced.

Running Back Depth: Kareem Hunt and Samaje Perine are impending free agents, so the Chiefs will have to find someone new to play behind Isiah Pacheco if they don’t re-sign one of those players.
