2014 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Nick Johnson
Position: Shooting Guard
Size: 6-3, 200
School: Arizona, Junior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Johnson had an outstanding junior season, making an impact in every area of the game. However, he is a 6-3 combo guard who lacks a true position at the next level which makes him a borderline first-round prospect. Some team looking for a potential role player may snag Johnson in the first 30 picks.
Player Comparison: Avery Bradley. Bradley is a combo guard who isn’t a true distributor when he runs the point, but he is undersized as a two guard. Johnson and Bradley are both very athletic and can be terrors on the defensive end though. If Johnson is going to find a home in the NBA, he will have to be a Bradley-type player.
