2014 NBA Draft Scouting Report: DeAndre Kane
Position: Point Guard
Size: 6-4, 200
School: Iowa State, Senior
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: Considering Kane is four to five years older than most prospects in the 2014 NBA Draft, that hurts his stock since he was pretty much a man among boys this past season. Transferring to Iowa State did help his stock, and his all-around game should draw the interest of numerous teams looking for guard depth in the second round.
Player Comparison: Shelvin Mack. Both Mack and Kane are physically built point guards capable of scoring or distributing the rock. Kane brings more versatility to the floor, while Mack is probably a better outside shooter. Nevertheless, Kane might struggle to find his home at the next level like Mack has endured thus far.
