2014 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Aaron Gordon
Position: Power Forward
Size: 6-9, 225
School: Arizona, Freshman
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: One of the most explosive athletes in college basketball, Gordon may not be a lights out scorer, but he contributes in so many areas of the game that he should be a terrific role player at the next level. Gordon is a step behind some of the top prospects in the 2014 NBA Draft, but he should still be a top-10 pick.
Player Comparison: Shawn Marion. Marion’s versatility as a defender has allowed him to play either forward spot in the NBA, which is a concern among NBA general managers about Gordon’s transition to the next level. Marion has never been a consistent outside shooter, which is a major weakness for Gordon as well. Still, Marion has put together an extremely successful NBA career as a complementary player, and Gordon should be able to follow suit.
