2013 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Reggie Bullock

Position: Shooting Guard

Size: 6-7, 200

School: North Carolina, Junior

Strengths:
  • Good size for NBA wing
  • Three-point shooting
  • Catch-and-shoot ability
  • Moves well off the ball
  • Quick release
  • Rarely forces shots
  • Solid defender
  • Rebounds well for his position

  • Weaknesses:
  • Slashing ability
  • Taking defenders off the bounce in isolation situations
  • Creating his own shot
  • Explosiveness at the rim
  • Too often relies on his jump shot

  • Summary: Though he never fully reached his potential at North Carolina, Bullock has the size and shooting ability to be a solid NBA role player. At first, his decision to leave Chapel Hill was somewhat surprising, but it now appears that Bullock is a firm lock for the first round and could go as high as the early 20s.

Player Comparison: Martell Webster. Scoring the basketball from the outside has never been an issue for Webster, who has actually been a decent reserve during his NBA career while occassionally showing flashes. Bullock is another pure shooter who can be a solid role player at the next level given the right situation.
