Jacory Croskey-Merritt was a nice story, but he wasn’t very good and could be upgraded this offseason.

Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Steelers. Bye: .

Kenneth Gainwell was a huge receiving threat last year, effectively serving as the No. 2 receiver. He’s now an impending free agent, so his role may be different next year.

Trey Benson is a talented back who had a chance to start last year, but got injured very quickly.

Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Jaguars. Bye: .

Bhayshul Tuten could have a big year if Travis Etienne leaves via free agency.

Braelon Allen, RB, Jets. Bye: .

The Jets seemingly had big plans for Braelon Allen, but he played just four games. There’s a chance he could be the lead back if Breece Hall leaves via free agency.

Tyjae Spears, RB, Titans. Bye: .

Tyjae Spears is an excellent receiver out of the backfield, and he’ll need to be rostered if Tony Pollard gets hurt.

Rachaad White, RB, Buccaneers. Bye: .

Rachaad White lost his job to Bucky Irving, but still sees lots of work as a receiver out of the backfield.

Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seahawks. Bye: .

Zach Charbonnet split touches evenly with Kenneth Walker, except at the goal line, where he served as the hammer. Charbonnet, however, tore his ACL in January.

Brashard Smith, RB, Chiefs. Bye: .

Brashard Smith is a good receiver out of the backfield who will have more of a role next year with other running backs entering free agency.

Chris Rodriguez, RB, Redskins. Bye: .

Chris Rodriguez started some games late in the year. The Redskins are bound to find an upgrade at running back.

Emanuel Wilson, RB, Packers. Bye: .

Emmanuel Wilson figures to be a solid backup for Josh Jacobs again this year.

Tyrone Tracy, RB, Giants. Bye: .

Tyrone Tracy will need another Cam Skattebo injury to be relevant again.

Austin Ekeler had some nice PPR games in Washington in 2024, but he was seldom used as a runner, logging just 77 carries. He’s unlikely to be effective moving forward because of his torn Achilles.

Samaje Perine must be added in the event of a Chase Brown injury.

Kendre Miller has had issue staying healthy. He tore his ACL last year.

Isaac Guerendo could be the RB2 in San Francisco this year if Brian Robinson leaves via free agency.

Dylan Sampson, RB, Browns. Bye: .

Dylan Sampson shouldn’t be drafted, but must be acquired via waivers if Quinshon Judkins were to get injured.

Justice Hill had some solid performances in blowouts in 2024, but missed seven games last year due to injury.

Tank Bigsby, RB, Eagles. Bye: .

Tank Bigsby will receive a big workload if Saquon Barkley were to suffer an injury.

Isiah Pacheco, RB, Chiefs. Bye: .

Isiah Pacheco had a strong start to his career, but hasn’t been the same since getting hurt in 2024. He’s now a free agent and is not guaranteed a starting role.

Ollie Gordon, RB, Dolphins. Bye: .

Ollie Gordon is just a handcuff behind De’Von Achane, who hasn’t gotten hurt the past two years.

Najee Harris suffered a fireworks incident on July 4 weekend, and if that wasn’t bad enough, he had an Achilles injury three games into the season.

Ray Davis, RB, Bills. Bye: .

There isn’t much behind James Cook on Buffalo’s roster, so Ray Davis could take over as the starter in the event of an injury.

Keaton Mitchell, RB, Ravens. Bye: .

Keaton Mitchell can create some explosive plays, but Justice Hill’s return to action will take some opportunities away from him.

Brian Robinson, RB, 49ers. Bye: .

Brian Robinson Jr. was acquired by the 49ers last offseason, but he’s now a free agent.

D.J. Giddens, RB, Colts. Bye: .

D.J. Giddens could emerge as Jonathan Taylor’s backup this year.

Jaydon Blue, RB, Cowboys. Bye: .

Jaydon Blue was given first-team reps in training camp last year, but it didn’t matter because he was a healthy scratch in double-digit games. He was a colossal disappointment.

Will Shipley, RB, Eagles. Bye: .

Will Shipley was supposed to be the RB2 on the Eagles last year, but he got hurt and then Philadelphia traded for Tank Bigsby.

Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs. Bye: .

Kareem Hunt is a free agent and unlikely to see much playing time moving forward.

Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur noted that Jarquez Hunter would get more opportunities than expected last year. So much for that. Hunter needs Kyren Williams or Blake Corum to get hurt to be relevant.

Raheem Mostert, RB, Raiders. Bye: .

Raheem Mostert is now 34. He’s fading out of the NFL quickly. He’s not much of an option even if Ashton Jeanty were to get hurt.

Kaleb Johnson was a colossal disappointment as a rookie. Perhaps he’ll do something in his second season.

It’s a shame, but Nick Chubb’s career appears to be over.
