2022 Fantasy Football Rankings - Running Backs (June 15):
Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-40 | 41-75

Other Positions: QB | WR | TE

  1. Antonio Gibson, RB, Redskins. Bye: 0.

Antonio Gibson figures to maintain is borderline RB1 status, though it was disappointing that the Redskins retained J.D. McKissic and even added Brian Robinson. Still, Gibson is a strong fantasy option.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 1,110 rushing yards. 45 catches. 310 receiving yards. 12 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 214.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 259.

  2. Javonte Williams, RB, Broncos. Bye: 0.

Javonte Williams is one of the best running backs in the NFL. He was one of the league leaders in broken tackles despite splitting the workload with Melvin Gordon. I imagine the Broncos will give Williams way more touches in 2022, though it hurts that Gordon was re-signed.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 1,220 rushing yards. 44 catches. 310 receiving yards. 9 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 207.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 251.

  3. Ezekiel Elliott Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys. Bye: 0.

Ezekiel Elliott had a down 2020, and yet he was even worse this past season, as he had to share carries with Tony Pollard in the second half of the year. His knee was the issue, but Elliott might be damaged goods at this point. Even worse, Dallas lost two starting offensive linemen.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 1,020 rushing yards. 50 catches. 310 receiving yards. 11 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 199.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 249.

  4. Elijah Mitchell, RB, 49ers. Bye: 0.

Trey Sermon was supposed to supplant the injury-prone Raheem Mostert. Instead, it was Elijah Mitchell. Mitchell had his own injury woes, but his upside is enormous because of the 49ers’ run-heavy attack. Raheem Mostert’s departure has brightened Mitchell’s outlook.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 1,190 rushing yards. 23 catches. 150 receiving yards. 9 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 188.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 211.

  5. Breece Hall, RB, Jets. Bye: 0.

Breece Hall is the No. 1 fantasy rookie this year. He’ll be the Jets’ primary back, and he’ll play on all three downs because of his ability to catch passes.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 1,040 rushing yards. 42 catches. 350 receiving yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 187.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 229.

  6. Kareem Hunt, RB, Browns. Bye: 0.

Kareem Hunt continues to be trapped behind Nick Chubb on the depth chart. He’s still a viable fantasy option because the Browns run so much, but he’ll be a fantasy RB1 if he can ever handle the workload on his own.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 760 rushing yards. 37 catches. 300 receiving yards. 10 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 186.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 223.

  7. D'Andre Swift D’Andre Swift, RB, Lions. Bye: 0.

The Lions really want to run the ball under Dan Campbell, so even though D’Andre Swift shared the workload with Jamaal Williams, he was still very productive.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 800 rushing yards. 62 catches. 460 receiving yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 184.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 246.

  8. A.J. Dillon, RB, Packers. Bye: 0.

A.J. Dillon continued to eat into Aaron Jones’ workload this past season. At some point, the Packers will make Dillon the primary ball-carrier, and if Jones gets hurt, Dillon will be an RB1.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 840 rushing yards. 40 catches. 350 receiving yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 181.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 221.

  9. Cam Akers, RB, Rams. Bye: 0.

Cam Akers recovered quickly from his Achilles injury. He was ready for the playoffs last year, so he’ll be healthy heading into 2022.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 950 rushing yards. 20 catches. 150 receiving yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 178.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 198.

  10. Leonard Fournette, RB, Buccaneers. Bye: 0.

Leonard Fournette had an amazing year, especially when considering that he was expected to handle half the workload heading into 2021. There’s no reason to think that’ll change.

Projected 2022 Fantasy Stats: 830 rushing yards. 65 catches. 420 receiving yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2022 Fantasy Points: 173.
Projected 2022 PPR Fantasy Points: 238.
