2020 Fantasy Football Value Wide Receivers (Aug. 10):
This is a list of my favorite 2020 fantasy football value wide receivers. These are fantasy players who aren’t quite sleepers – i.e. they’re not being chosen in the final few rounds – but they’re going way later than they should in fantasy football drafts. The Average Draft Position (ADP) is found on FantasyFootballCalculator.com.
Fantasy Football Value Quarterbacks | Fantasy Football Value Running Backs
- Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Browns. ADP: 6.02.
Odell Beckham’s ADP is 6.02, which doesn’t make much sense. I get that there’s such a horrible stench concerning Beckham’s fantasy stock, but this is ridiculous. Beckham is one of the most talented receivers in the NFL, and he has top-five fantasy upside. I expect the Browns to meet expectations this year because of an improved offensive line, and Beckham could be a big part of their success.
- Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos. ADP: 7.02.
Courtland Sutton did very well in his second season, considering that he was paired with a decrepit Joe Flacco, an inept Brandon Allen and a raw Drew Lock. Sutton will enter his third year with a more-experienced Lock throwing to him, which should bode very well for him. He’s arguably a top-10 receiver, so his ADP of 7.02 is absurdly low.
- Will Fuller, WR, Texans. ADP: 8.02.
Will Fuller is Deshaun Watson’s No. 1 receiver, and yet his ADP is in the eighth round. Think about that for a second. It makes absolutely no sense. I get that Fuller has a dubious injury history, but he’ll produce some great numbers when healthy. He’s well worth the risk in the middle of your fantasy draft.
- D.J. Moore, WR, Panthers. ADP: 5.11.
D.J. Moore’s ADP is low as well. He was stellar last season despite catching passes from Kyle Allen. I like his outlook even more with Teddy Bridgewater serving as an upgrade as Carolina’s quarterback.
- D.K. Metcalf, WR, Seahawks. ADP: 3.11.
D.K. Metcalf became Russell Wilson’s top receiver at the end of the year, and he was just a rookie. He’ll continue to develop, and his upside is off the charts. Metcalf is a top-10 player in my 2020 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings.
- A.J. Brown, WR, Titans. ADP: 3.11.
I re-watched the entire 2019 NFL season, and while doing so, I was reminded of how dominant A.J. Brown was despite being a rookie. Brown was even better than I remembered him being, so I’m expecting huge things for him in his second season.
- Robert Woods, WR, Rams. ADP: 5.01.
Robert Woods being drafted more than a round later than Cooper Kupp on average is ridiculous. Woods became Jared Goff’s favorite receiver in 2019, and I don’t see why that would change. Brandin Cooks is gone, so Woods will continue to see a massive target share.
- A.J. Green, WR, Bengals. ADP: 5.08.
A.J. Green being chosen at the end of the fifth round seems like a steal. Green didn’t play in 2019, but he should be back with a better quarterback throwing to him. He usually tends to be a second-round pick, so his 5.08 ADP is way too low.
- DeVante Parker, WR, Dolphins. ADP: 6.12.
DeVante Parker produced some dismal seasons since being drafted in the first round. However, he finally put it together last year, especially down the stretch when he dominated the competition. This may have been a fluke, but I think there’s a better chance that this was the result of Parker finally getting away from Adam Gase. I’m willing to take a chance on this being the case at the end of the sixth frame.
