2020 Fantasy Football Value Running Backs (Aug. 10):
This is a list of my favorite 2020 fantasy football value running backs. These are fantasy players who aren’t quite sleepers – i.e. they’re not being chosen in the final few rounds – but they’re going way later than they should in fantasy football drafts. The Average Draft Position (ADP) is found on FantasyFootballCalculator.com.
Fantasy Football Value Quarterbacks | Fantasy Football Value Wide Receivers
- Devin Singletary, RB, Bills. ADP: 3.12.
Devin Singletary is a special player. He was my top sleeper last year, and I think he’ll take a big leap forward in 2020. There’s a good chance he’ll finish as a top-10 running back, so it sounds great to get someone like him at the end of Round 3.
- Todd Gurley, RB, Falcons. ADP: 4.10.
Todd Gurley has a huge negative stigma attached to him as a result of his arthritic knees. I was way down on him last year, but that’s when he was being selected at his 1.11 ADP. He’s a great bargain at 4.10. He won’t handle a full workload, but he’ll get key touches in Atlanta’s explosive offense. He should still be in line for double-digit touchdowns.
- D’Andre Swift, RB, Lions. ADP: 7.01.
Prior to Damien Williams’ ridiculous opt-out decision, I was willing to draft D’Andre Swift over Clyde Edwards-Helaire. That’s obviously no longer the case, as Edwards-Helaire is Kansas City’s starter, but I still love Swift. I thought he was the best running back in the 2020 NFL Draft class, and I don’t think he’ll have much of an issue supplanting Kerryon Johnson.
- J.K. Dobbins, RB, Ravens. ADP: 8.03.
J.K. Dobbins is being drafted a round too early to be in my Fantasy Football Sleepers page, but he’s definitely a great value. Dobbins is very talented, so his workload should increase as the season progresses. He will be playing in a run-heavy offense, so he’ll get opportunities, even when Mark Ingram is handling more touches.
- Kareem Hunt, RB, Browns (PPR). ADP: 5.06.
Kareem Hunt will be a top-five running back if Nick Chubb suffers an injury. In the meantime, he’ll be a solid PPR option, given that he’ll catch plenty of passes on third down. He should be chosen two rounds earlier than his ADP in PPR formats.
- Matt Breida, RB, Dolphins. ADP: 8.11.
Like J.K. Dobbins, Matt Breida is being drafted a round too early to be in my Fantasy Football Sleepers page. He’s the most talented running back on Miami’s roster, so I expect him to handle the majority of the touches. His durability is a major question mark, but he’s well worth his 8.11 ADP.
