2020 NFL Scouting Combine Team Thoughts on Workouts
This is the 2020 NFL Combine Stock Report for the tight ends. Follow me @walterfootball for updates.
Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Missouri
Albert Okwuegbunam was the early talk of the opening day of the combine because he ran a 4.49 40. That’s enough to get him a stock-up arrow, though he didn’t really do much else. He didn’t compete in any of the other testing numbers, and he didn’t look particularly interested in pushing around Fred the Sled.
Jared Pinkney, TE, Vanderbilt
Jared Pinkney lumbered through his 40 time, posting a positional-worst 4.96. Pinkney wasn’t expected to run a great 40, or anything, but his time could’ve been measured with a sun dial. Furthermore, Pinkney didn’t impress me very much in the drills, so he had a poor showing overall.
Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton
Adam Trautman was the best tight end at the 2020 NFL Combine. His 40 wasn’t impressive (4.80), but he shined elsewhere. He was terrific in the drills, and he also posted a positional-best 3-cone time of 6.78.
Mitchell Wilcox, TE, South Florida
Mitchell Wilcox had a rough showing in the drills, and his poor testing numbers couldn’t helo offset that. He ran a 4.88 40 at 6-3, 247, and he also had a slow 7.37 3-cone time.
