Josh Rosen to Enter 2018 NFL Draft

After three years at UCLA, multiple sources tell WalterFootball.com that Rosen will skip his senior year and enter the 2018 NFL Draft. For many months, Rosen has been expected to enter the 2018 NFL Draft as he is one of the top eligible quarterbacks. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Rosen is in the running to be one of the first players off the board thanks to his powerful right arm and pocket-passing potential.
Sources from multiple teams said they all expect Rosen to go high in the first round. One NFC general manager whose team could be in the market for a quarterback told WalterFootball.com that they have Rosen as their No. 1-rated quarterback for the 2018 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder has shown pocket-passing skill with a right arm cannon capable of making any throw in the NFL. In 2017, the junior has completed 63 percent of his passes for 3,717 yards with 26 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Rosen does have some concerns to work through with teams in the lead up to the 2018 NFL Draft. There has been talk in the scouting community about Rosen having bad intangibles and being disliked by his teammates at UCLA, especially during his early time with the Bruins. They say that Rosen worked at improving his relationships with his teammates over the past year and a half and that progress was being made on that issue. Rosen also has some durability issues as he had a concussion as a junior and was limited to six games as a sophomore because of a shoulder injury that required surgery.
Even with those concerns, team sources were unanimous that they expect Rosen to go high in the 2018 NFL Draft. If Rosen impresses in the pre-draft interviews and workouts, he could be the first player off the board next April.
