Miami tight end Elijah Arroyo was one of the best prospects at Senior Bowl practice last January, and his domination as a receiver had team sources buzzing. Multiple sources thought Arroyo could go top-25 as he displayed mismatch receiving skills in Mobile. However, Arroyo’s stock has cooled in recent months, and sources say the reason for that is an injury that he has been dealing with.
Sources say they expect Arroyo to be okay, but after dealing with serious injuries in college, the durability concerns are hurting Arroyo. As a result, he could slip to the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. However, team contacts feel that there will be a lot of teams excited about landing Arroyo early in the second round and he will be likely selected quickly on the second night of the draft.
In my latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft, I have Arroyo replacing a future Hall of Famer, but after speaking with team sources, Arroyo might go a little bit lower than that projection.
