Dalton Schultz, TE, Cowboys. Age: 26.

Dalton Schultz wasn’t even projected to be Dallas’ top tight end heading into 2021, yet he was spectacular. Just 26, the future is extremely bright for Schultz.
Rob Gronkowski, TE, Buccaneers. Age: 33.
Remember when Rob Gronkowski was considered just a blocker early during the 2020 season? Gronkowski was huge during the Super Bowl run that year and then enjoyed a terrific 2021 campaign. He is somehow getting better despite entering his mid-30s.
Mike Gesicki, TE, Dolphins. Age: 26.
Franchised by Dolphins

Mike Gesicki notched career-best figures in receptions and yards this past season. He’s only 26, so he’ll continue to grow.
Zach Ertz, TE, Cardinals. Age: 31.
Re-signed with Cardinals (3 years)

Zach Ertz had a great rapport with Kyler Murray right away, catching 56 passes for 574 yards in 11 games. He’s 31, so a decline is coming soon.
C.J. Uzomah, TE, Bengals. Age: 29.
Signed with Jets (3 years, $24 million)

C.J. Uzomah is coming off the best season of his career. He was able to exploit great matchups very easily, catching 49 passes for 493 yards and five touchdowns.
David Njoku, TE, Browns. Age: 26.
Franchised by Browns

David Njoku finally showed signs of life last year after disappointing as a rookie, often outplaying Austin Hooper.
Tyler Conklin, TE, Vikings. Age: 27.
Signed with Jets (3 years, $21 million)

Tyler Conklin did a great job filling in for Irv Smith Jr., catching 61 passes for 593 yards and three touchdowns.
Evan Engram, TE, Giants. Age: 27.
Signed with Jaguars (1 year, $9 million)

Evan Engram is a terrific athlete for a tight end, but he has never lived up to his potential. Perhaps he’ll do so with a better coaching staff.
Gerald Everett, TE, Seahawks. Age: 28.
Signed with Chargers (2 years, $12 million)

Gerald Everett caught a career-high 48 passes in his first season with the Seahawks, as he no longer had to compete for targets with Tyler Higbee.
Austin Hooper, TE, Browns. Age: 27.
Signed with Titans (1 year, $6 million)

Austin Hooper was a colossal bust for the Browns. Perhaps he can rebound to the form he had with Atlanta.
Maxx Williams, TE, Cardinals. Age: 28.
Re-signed with Cardinals

Maxx Williams had a great start to the 2021 season before suffering a knee injury that knocked him out for the year. It remains to be seen if he’ll be 100 percent in 2022.
Ricky Seals-Jones, TE, Giants. Age: 27.
Ricky Seals-Jones was a productive receiver when he stepped in for an injured Logan Thomas. He is also a capable blocker.
Hayden Hurst, TE, Falcons. Age: 29.
Signed with Bengals (1 year)

If it wasn’t for Kyle Pitts, Hayden Hurst would have been a solid producer this past season.
Blake Bell, TE, Chiefs. Age: 31.
Re-signed with Chiefs (1 year)

Blake Bell offers nothing as a receiver, but he’s an excellent blocker.
O.J. Howard, TE, Bills. Age: 27.
Signed with Texans

O.J. Howard caught only 14 passes last year. Perhaps he can revive his career elsewhere.
Jared Cook, TE, Chargers. Age: 35.
Jared Cook caught 48 passes for 564 yards and four touchdowns in his first season with the Chargers. He’s 35, however, so he doesn’t have much time remaining.
Robert Tonyan, TE, Packers. Age: 28.
Re-signed with Packers (1 year)

Robert Tonyan was a big producer in 2020, but struggled to produce this past season until he suffered a torn ACL.
