2024 NBA Free Agents: The top-20 NBA free agent power forwards for 2024.
** There are no team options here, as we won’t know what choice the teams will make and most won’t become free agents.
Pascal Siakam, Pacers, UFA, 30
It is pretty much a given that the Pacers will sign their recent tradee and All-Star forward to a max contract; they paid too much to not keep him.
Tobias Harris, 76ers, UFA, 31
The 76ers have 11 free agents and little money to spend. There’s a few teams that love Harris, and some club will sign him to a ridiculous contract.
Miles Bridges, Hornets, UFA, 26
Bridges has off-court drama, but is one of the elite athletes in the NBA, just averaged 21-7-3, and was a very strong shooter. He will likely be signed again by the Hornets.
Patrick Williams, Bulls, RFA, 22
Williams was having an excellent season, but got hurt. He’s not the $25-plus million a season guy he assumes he is, but is 22 and can really defend and shoot.
Obi Toppin, Pacers, RFA, 25
Toppin is a monster dunker and a fan favorite, but he has not proven that he can start in this league. He should be a third big man.
Caleb Martin, Heat, PO, 28
Martin fits the Heat, as he’s one of those role players who simply thrives for them. Whether on his option or as a free agent he should stay.
Dario Saric, Warriors, UFA, 30
Saric looked like an All-Star when drafted, but has become a valuable reserve big man. He has a lot of offensive talent and can really shoot the ball at 6-foot-11. He’s also a talented rebounder and playmaker.
Jalen Smith, Pacers, RFA, 24
Smith hasn’t met his lottery talent so far, but he’s an ace shooter and a very skilled rebounder and scorer. He needs minutes though.
Torey Craig, Bulls, UFA, 33
An athletic combo forward, Craig brings energy, plus he can shoot the ball off the bench.
Haywood Highsmith, Heat, RFA, 27
Highsmith is a valuable role player due to his defense and shooting. He’s another one of those role guys who plays so well for Miami.
T.J. Warren, Timberwolves, UFA, 30
Warren, when healthy, is a pure scorer who can be a huge bench piece for a playoff squad.
Javonte Green, Bulls, UFA, 30
Green was signed towards the end of the regular season and was simply excellent. His energy, gritty play, hustle, athleticism and defense makes him a vital role player.
Trendon Watford, Nets, RFA, 23
At 6-foot-9 and 240 pounds, Watford is a massive forward, but he has scoring and shooting ability.
Kevin Love, Heat, PO, 34
Love has turned into an elite role player thanks to being a large 6-foot-10 rebounder and scorer. He can also still shoot.
Robert Covington, 76ers, UFA, 33
Covington hasn’t played much as of late, but he’s a combo forward who can shoot.
Kenyon Martin Jr., 76ers, RFA, 23
Also known as K.J. Martin, he had a rough season after being traded. In his first few seasons, however, he was an athletic scorer and rebounder.
Drew Eubanks, Suns, PO, 27
Eubanks is a shooting big man who lacks a major role on the Suns, but could really help a lesser team.
P.J. Tucker, Clippers, PO, 38
Tucker may want to leave, but he’s not saying “no” to his big player option. A bargain may be struck where he gets half his option or a similar deal as it is a very odd case with Tucker.
Marcus Morris, Cavaliers, UFA, 34
Morris hasn’t been the same since he was traded by the Clippers two seasons ago, but is 34. He still is a very solid shooter for a bench forward, and with a set role, he could average 10-6.
James Johnson, Pacers, UFA, 37
At this point, it seems that if Johnson wants a job, he will find one. He is a valuable veteran.
