2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Rankings: Small Forwards 1-20 | SFs 21-40

  1. Kevin Durant, Thunder
The NBA’s next big thing has officially arrived. He became the youngest player to win an NBA scoring title last season and helped the USA win gold at this summer’s FIBA World Championships. If you get the No. 1 pick in your league, draft Durant and enjoy!

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 32.5 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 3.0 apg, 1.50 spg, 150 3PTM, 48.0 FG%, 89.0 FT%

  2. LeBron James, Heat
The league’s most hated man is still going to get his in South Beach but it is hard to believe he will match his numbers from last year. LeBron will be playing the point forward role in Miami and might actually see a spike in assists, but expect his scoring totals to dip.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 27.0 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 9.0 apg, 1.75 spg, 110 3PTM, 52.0 FG%, 76.0 FT%

  3. Danny Granger, Pacers
Granger gets it done in just about every category. Having a real point guard should help take the load off him a bit but then again the Pacers do not have a ton of scoring punch up front. Expect him to put up similar numbers to what he has done the past two seasons and be worth a late first-round pick.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 24.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.5 apg, 1.5 spg, 170 3PTM, 44.0 FG%, 85.5 FT%

  4. Gerald Wallace, Bobcats
For the first time in his career, Wallace averaged a double-double though his usual top of the league steal numbers decreased. He is still option 1B in Charlotte’s offense alongside Stephen Jackson and will post solid all-around stats.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 17.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 2.5 apg, 1.75 spg, 45 3PTM, 47.0 FG%, 78.5 FT%

  5. Carmelo Anthony, Nuggets
You would have to think that the sooner he gets the dealt out of Denver, the more valuable he is as a fantasy commodity. I mean, would anyone be surprised if he sort of half-hearted with the Nuggets while he was there until he got traded? A deal should come sooner than later with New Jersey probably helping his fantasy value more so than New York.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 26.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 3.0 apg, 1.25 spg, 70 3PTM, 45.0 FG%, 81.0 FT%

  6. Danilo Gallinari, Knicks
If he stays a Knick and Carmelo Anthony does not become one, Galinari is poised for a breakout season. He is a great fit in Mike D’Antoni’s system and the additions of Amare and Raymond Felton should open things up for him. If he ends up going to Denver for Melo, he still becomes one of the Nuggets main options but probably does not post as high of numbers.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 20.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, .75 spg, 195 3PTM, 44.5 FG%, 85.0 FT%

  7. Rudy Gay, Grizzlies
Gay cashed in this off-season and returns to pretty much the same Grizzlies team. He has been right around the 19 point, 6 board a game mark the past three seasons and I would expect those numbers to be consistent again this year.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 20.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.5 spg, 75 3PTM, 46.0 FG%, 77.0 FT%

  8. Paul Pierce, Celtics
Having logged so many minutes over the past couple of seasons, his durability might become a concern. Plus, he is coming off a season in which he posted his lowest scoring average since his rookie season and career-low rebounding average. At this point in his career I think he carries more name value than actual value, but is a safer pick than the player listed below him.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 17.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3.0 apg, 1.0 spg, 115 3PTM, 46.5 FG%, 86.0 FT%

  9. Hedo Turkoglu, Suns
Last year was disastrous for Turkoglu and all his fantasy owners. A change of scenery in an up-tempo offense, playing alongside Steve Nash should provide a re-birth of sorts as he tries to help fill the void in the desert left behind by Amare.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 15.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 4.0 apg, .75 spg, 140 3PTM, 42.5 FG%, 80.5 FT%

  10. Trevor Ariza, Hornets
Ariza was solid in his first year with the Rockets but ended up being dealt to New Orleans in a cap cutting move. He will benefit playing on the wing with CP3 and should be a solid compliment with his all-around game. His ability to get steals outweighs his poor percentage at the free throw line.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 15.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 3.0 apg, 2.00 spg, 110 3PTM, 43.0 FG%, 68.5 FT%

  11. Luol Deng, Bulls
Deng figures to have great value for a second-tier small forward at the start of the season when Carlos Boozer is sidelined. Once Boozer comes back, his number will dip a bit but should still be productive enough to warrant a mid-round pick.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 16.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.0 spg, 40 3PTM, 45.5 FG%, 77.5 FT%

  12. Corey Maggette, Bucks
Take Maggette away from Golden State’s up-tempo Nellie Ball and his offensive numbers will undoubtedly fall. He will still start in Milwaukee and get his fair share of points while shooting high percentages from the field and free throw line but his will value will not be what it has been in previous years.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 16.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, .75 spg, 20 3PTM, 50.5 FG%, 84.5 FT%

  13. Michael Beasley, Timberwolves
He might be listed as a power forward in your league but will play the three this season and become SF eligible early in the year. He has a fresh start on a Minnesota team that sorely lacks a go-to scorer. His risk/reward is incredibly high but I think he will easily post the best numbers of his career.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 17.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.00 spg, 45 3PTM, 44.0 FG%, 78.5 FT%

  14. Andrei Kirilenko, Jazz
He is nowhere near as valuable as he was four or five years ago, but still AK47 does a little bit of everything to contribute to every category. He was banged up last season but is healthy and should see a little more action on the wing in Utah. Kirilenko is also an asset as a shot blocker.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 11.0 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3.0 apg, 1.25 spg, 30 3PTM, 48.5 FG%, 75.5 FT%

  15. Linas Kleiza, Raptors
I think Kleiza is a serious sleeper at the small forward spot. He is coming off a solid summer at the FIBA World Championships and figures to start on a Raptors team that lacks a true scorer.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 14.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.0 apg, .50 spg, 120 3PTM, 46.5 FG%, 77.0 FT%

  16. Wesley Johnson, Timberwolves
Johnson figures to start the year on the bench behind Michael Beasley but could very easily find his way into the starting line-up. His all-around game makes him a valuable fantasy commodity especially on a team that lacks a whole lot of offensive firepower.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 13.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.5 apg, 1.00 spg, 1.00 bpg, 70 3PTM, 48.5 FG%, 76.0 FT%

  17. Nicolas Batum, Blazers
Batum only played in 37 games last season but showed progress from his rookie season. There were rumors this off-season that the Blazers turned down an offer of the fourth pick in the NBA Draft for Batum’s services so you can tell how much Portland thinks of this young man. Wesley Matthews’ addition could cut into Batum’s playing time though.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 11.0 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.0 apg, .75 spg, 1.00 bpg, 100 3PTM, 52.5 FG%, 82.0 FT%

  18. Wilson Chandler, Knicks
It looks like Chandler will start at the two for the Knicks but will still be listed as a small forward on draft day. Expect to get less opportunity on an improved Knicks team.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 13.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.5 apg, .75 spg, .75 bpg, 55 3PTM, 47.0 FG%, 80.0 FT%

  19. Tayshaun Prince, Pistons
Injury limited Prince to 49 games last season, but he stayed consistent with his all-around output. Prince will compete for playing time at the three and I would expect his numbers to dip a little bit.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 12.0 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3.0 apg, .50 spg, 55 3PTM, 47.5 FG%, 76.0 FT%

  20. Thaddeus Young, 76ers
Young took a step back last season and with the additions of Evan Turner and Andres Nocioni, his numbers could take another hit.

    Projected 2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Stats: 12.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.00 spg, 50 3PTM, 50.0 FG%, 71.5 FT%
