2016 Senior Bowl: Tuesday Prospect Meetings Report

By Charlie Campbell – @draftcampbell

Here is a recap of the player interviews that were conducted on the field after Tuesday’s practice for the North team and the South Team. Because the practices were scheduled so close together across town, very few teams stayed to speak with players after the North practice in favor of driving across the bridge to get to the South practice.

Typically, these interviews with area scouts are to set up longer, formal interviews for a night during the week. While teams say they “talk” to every player, teams do not take the time to conduct formal interviews with every draft prospect, so this can be a clue as to which players are on their radar.

New York Jets – Penn State defensive end Carl Nassib, Western Kentucky outside linebacker Noah Spence, Georgia outside linebacker Jarvis Jenkins, and Virginia Tech outside linebacker Dadi Nicolas. Per sources, the Jets had a longer interview with Nicolas on Tuesday night.

Atlanta Falcons – Ohio State wide receiver Braxton Miller, LSU linebacker Deion Jones, Temple defensive tackle Matt Iannidis and Ohio State Joshua Perry.

Carolina Panthers – Western Michigan Willie Beavers and Louisiana Tech defensive tackle Vernon Butler.

New Orleans Saints – Eastern Kentucky linebacker Noah Spence, Navy running back Chris Swain.

Jacksonville Jaguars – Baylor wide receiver Jay Lee.

Philadelphia Eagles – West Virginia linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski and Notre Dame center Nick Martin.

Denver Broncos – Oklahoma wide receiver Sterling Shepard and Georgia wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell.

San Diego Chargers – Boise State safety Darian Thompson and Ohio State safety Tyvis Powell.

Indianapolis Colts – West Virginia safety K.J. Dillon and Rutgers wide receiver Leonte Carroo.

New York Giants – Alabama defensive tackle Jarran Reed.

Baltimore Ravens – Temple linebacker Tyler Matakevich, Alabama running back Kenyan Drake.

Pittsburgh Steelers – USC quarterback Cody Kessler.

Cleveland Browns – Temple defensive tackle Matt Ioannidis.

Houston Texans – Louisiana Tech defensive tackle Vernon Butler, Georgia offensive tackle John Theus.
