This page lists all the 2026 Trades for the Cleveland Browns. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the trades. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the trades, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL trades here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

June 2026 – Trades
Rams acquire DE Myles Garrett from Browns for DE Jared Verse, 2027 1st-round pick, 2028 2nd-round pick, 2029 3rd-round pick
Myles Garrett said he wanted to sign with a Super Bowl contender last offseason before re-signing with the Browns. Garrett was able to have his cake and eat it too, as he obtained his mega deal and is now on a Super Bowl contender. In fact, the Rams are now the overwhelming favorites at +650.
This is an incredible trade for the Rams. Garrett is the best defensive player in the NFL. He’s coming off a record-setting 23-sack season. He turns 31 soon, but he obviously hasn’t shown any signs of regression. In fact, there’s a possibility that Garrett will exceed his 23-sack figure because he’ll be playing with more leads and will be surrounded by better players. The Rams are in win-now mode – despite their horrible Ty Simpson pick that received an “F” in our 2026 NFL Draft Grades – so they are correct to swap two future assets in exchange for Garrett.
Despite this, I can’t grade the Browns poorly. In fact, I like this trade for them as well, though it feels like they should have been able to get a bit more. Re-signing Garrett never made any sense because by the time the Browns are competitive enough to compete for a Super Bowl, Garrett will be on the decline. Jared Verse, conversely, will not be. Verse is clearly not nearly as great as Garrett, but he’s very young and talented. He has a good chance to be better than a 36-year-old Garrett in five seasons, which is when the Browns might be ready to challenge for a Super Bowl appearance if they draft well.
Update: The Browns also received a 2028 second-round pick and a 2029 third-round pick. I’m bumping up their grade from an A- to an “A.”

March 2026 – Trades
Browns acquire OT Tytus Howard from Texans for 5th-round pick
The Texans have been very busy today. They acquired David Montgomery, all while trading two offensive linemen. I’m not sure if dealing blockers away for a new running back is the best strategy to strengthen a ground attack, but perhaps Houston’s front office knows better.
I don’t get this trade for the Texans. Tytus Howard is a quality pass protector who can play right tackle and guard. He turns 30 in May, but he should still have several strong seasons remaining in his career. Houston’s offensive line has been a weakness, so it makes no sense to trade someone like Howard for a mere fifth-round pick.
The Browns definitely won this trade. They had a huge need at both tackle spots, and Howard will be a big upgrade on the right side. He can also play guard in the event of an injury, so he’ll be extremely useful for Cleveland. This was a great trade for the Browns.
Grade for Browns – A
Grade for Texans – D
