Season so far

Every game in order, Week 1 first. Opp. rank = where I had the opponent in my power rankings in effect at kickoff. Recaps are mine, word for word.

Opponent's group in my power rankings at kickoff: Group A Group B Group C Group D Group F

Los Angeles Rams

Week 1Thu, Sep 10 vs. San Francisco 49ers (neutral) Opp. rank #8Group B
L 7-27 Line -4 ATS: Did not cover (-24)

49ers 27, Rams 7 (LAR -4). This was an even game in the first half, but the 49ers controlled the ball in the second half, as the Rams looked exhausted from traveling 24 hours beforehand, whereas the 49ers traveled a week earlier. 379-290 SF, 5.9-5.1 SF

Week 2Mon, Sep 21 vs. New York Giants Opp. rank #17Group C
W 28-6 Line -7 ATS: Covered (+15)

RAMS 28, Giants 6 (LAR -7). Jaxson Dart got hurt on the first drive and Jameis Winston struggled in relief. The Matthew Stafford to Davante Adams connection was lethal all night. 481-182 LAR, 8.0-3.3 LAR

Week 3Sun, Sep 27 at Denver Broncos Opp. rank #13Group C
L 26-30 Line -2.5 ATS: Did not cover (-6.5)

BRONCOS 30, Rams 26 (DEN +2.5). The Rams were up 16-0 at halftime and were in complete control, but the Broncos caught fire in the second half. The Rams went up 26-23, but the officials gave the Broncos a win on a silver platter with a horrible call at the end. 482-257 LAR, 5.9-4.3 LAR

Week 4Sun, Oct 4 at Philadelphia Eagles Opp. rank #15Group C
W 24-20 Line -3 ATS: Covered (+1)

Rams 24, EAGLES 20 (PHI +3). The Eagles played terribly for most of the game, but had a 20-10 lead because the Rams made so many mistakes. The Eagles couldn't maintain their lead because they were 0-of-12 on third down. The Rams stormed back with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. 415-172 LAR, 5.4-3.0 LAR

Week 5Mon, Oct 12 vs. Buffalo Bills Opp. rank #2Group A
L 34-37 Line -3 ATS: Did not cover (-6)

Bills 37, RAMS 34 (LAR -3). The Bills led 13-7 at halftime, but this game turned into a shootout in the fourth quarter and overtime. James Cook lost a fumble in overtime, but the Rams couldn't capitalize because of a blocked field goal. The Bills then moved into field goal position because of two long Josh Allen runs, and they converted on the decisive kick. 454-436 LAR, 7.5-5.9 BUF

Week 6Sun, Oct 18 vs. Arizona Cardinals Opp. rank #27Group D
L 16-18 Line -12.5 ATS: Did not cover (-14.5)

Cardinals 18, RAMS 16 (LAR -12.5). The Rams looked like they didn't give a damn in this game. Matthew Stafford was lethargic, and the defense didn't want to tackle. The Rams took a 16-15 lead late, but Jacoby Brissett hit a deep pass to set up the decisive field goal. 338-286 ARZ, 5.1-4.8 LAR

Las Vegas Raiders

Week 1Sun, Sep 13 vs. Miami Dolphins Opp. rank #32Group F
W 27-13 Line -3.5 ATS: Covered (+10.5)

RAIDERS 27, Dolphins 13 (LV -3.5). The Raiders ran all over the Dolphins. They made some mistakes, but the Dolphins couldn't take advantage because they made numerous mistakes of their own. 290-259 LV, 4.1-3.5 MIA

Week 2Sun, Sep 20 at Los Angeles Chargers Opp. rank #13Group B
W 26-14 Line +6.5 ATS: Covered (+18.5)

Raiders 26, CHARGERS 14 (LAC -6.5). These teams both made huge mistakes in this game, but the Chargers committed more errors, including a late Omarion Hampton fumble when they were driving down three. Justin Herbert and Joe Alt were awful. 310-305 LAC, 5.0-5.0 tie

Week 3Sun, Sep 27 at New Orleans Saints Opp. rank #21Group D
W 35-27 Line +3 ATS: Covered (+11)

Raiders 35, SAINTS 27 (NO -3). Brock Bowers made some huge plays early in this game, but the Saints got out to a big lead. The Raiders stormed back with two strip-sacks of Tyler Shough and then a Juwan Johnson fumble. 381-340 NO, 5.4-5.3 LV

Week 4Sun, Oct 4 vs. Kansas City Chiefs Opp. rank #8Group B
L 27-30 Line +4.5 ATS: Covered (+1.5)

Chiefs 30, RAIDERS 27 (LV +4.5). This was a back-and-forth game where the Raiders took the lead with five minutes to go. The Raiders fumbled a punt return following a late Chiefs touchdown, which basically ended the game. 437-399 LV, 6.9-5.6 KC

Week 5Sun, Oct 11 at New England Patriots Opp. rank #14Group C
L 17-45 Line +3.5 ATS: Did not cover (-24.5)

PATRIOTS 45, Raiders 17 (NE -3.5). The only mistake the Patriots made in this game was a Corey Kiner fumble. Otherwise, Drake Maye lit up the Raiders, and Kirk Cousins couldn't keep up at all with no help from the running game. 536-306 NE, 8.1-5.4 NE

Week 6Sun, Oct 18 vs. Buffalo Bills Opp. rank #2Group A
L 30-33 Line +4.5 ATS: Covered (+1.5)

Bills 33, RAIDERS 30 (LV +4.5). This was a high-scoring game where both teams had leads. The Raiders were up 7-3 and 13-10, but the Bills dominated the third quarter with James Cook. The Raiders rallied back to tie the game at 23, but the Bills scored 10 points toward the end.
