Team Profile:

This is a very different team than the laughingstock it was last season. As you can see, half the roster is different, and the players are older, but the Rockets still are not near the playoffs, in fact they will probably have the fewest wins in the West this season by more than a few. Jalen Green, Amen Thompson and Alperen Sengun have all-star potential, but for some odd reason, Houston spent $300 million overpaying Fred VanVleet, Dillon Brooks, Jock Landale and Jeff Green. The roster makes no sense. The Rockets wasted a ton of money and still won’t win 25 games.

Player Profile:

This will be Amen Thompson. As Houston’s starting guards are excellent, the incredibly talented Thompson will likely be in a sixth-man role. An incredibly athletic guard with elite size, Thompson is still working on being a point guard, but he’s a monster defender and will be a strong playmaker and scorer in his first NBA season. He has superstar potential and is easily Houston’s biggest talent.

Biggest Strength: Young Talent

Biggest Weakness: Inexperience

Record: 24-58, 15th in the Western Conference
